You find yourself in a white space, devoid of matter.
Looking around, you are confused about how you got here, you want to cry out, ask what is happening, until you see a familiar person stainding in front of you.
A certain person writing a certain story you've been following for a certain time period.
You certainly might want to say something to that person, but all of a sudden that person lifted her hand up and facepalmed herself.
"Sigh, look. I am also fed up with my 'fake semi-hiatus' announcements and all, but I can't help it!"
Looking defeated and frustrated with herself, she was shaking her head, she wanted to do better for her story, not just for you, but mostly for herself, sadly it didn't want to workout.
That was just who she was.
"That's just who I am."
Not knowing what to say the person in front of you stood their in silence, until she just decided to outright say what is going on here.
"For all the older readers, you already know what this is about and for the new ones, this kind of thing was more frequent in the past..."
She started scratching her cheek in embarassment, she really panicked when she wasn't in the mood to write in the past as a new writer, luckily she got over that and accepted that it was probably just her writing honeymoon when she was writing two 2000 word chapters a day.
Sadly, something else was getting in her way now that prevented her from continuing to write, even in private.
"But, yeah. Time for a hiatus, for real real this time. Shit has finally hit the fan and I have negative time to do something like 'writing'."
Suddenly she had the realization that her words could imply something more worrysome than the situation truly is in times like this.
"Oh and don't worry about me. I didn't catch the covid or something, just like my profil name said, I turned out to be a bit of a hikkikkomori if I get the chance of an excuse, so no human contact outside of my family for me."
"Ehem, anyways. My problem is my graduation and getting successfully with a satisfying result out of it, it's time for me to review what I learned in the last three to four years, so I will be away from writing."
Suddenly she took a step back and bowed down in a perfect 90 degree angle.
"Thank you for your continues support on my FanFiction 'Strength of Will', I am sorry for the abrupt cliffhanger, it's also very painful for me, since I myself had that experience with other peoples stories, but I don't have a choice!"
You sighed, this is it then?
The story is over, even with cliffhanger. It couldn't have ended worse.
Oh, it could. Her not announcing that this is the end, but still, this is quite disappointing, for this to be the end.
"Hold up! Don't put words in to my mouth! This isn't goodbye! All I said that I am away from writing until my graduation, so hold down your horses with your assumtions! I'll be back when all my written exams are over and hopefully also my oral exams."
Well, this is fine then?
Getting out of her bow, she stood upright again and showed a gentle smile.
"How silly of my, to make my hiatus announcement a side-filler, but..."
