Ardham went into the house hastily.
"Nadine .. Nadine." called Ardham as his eyes searched Nadine around the room.
"I'm here uncle." Nadine replied from the kitchen.
Ardham stepped into the kitchen, his heart relieved when he saw Nadine was okay standing frying something. The relief on Ardham's face disappeared when his eyes saw Marvin's back who was sitting watching Nadine cook.
Ardham's heart was a little annoyed when he saw Marvin standing up and approaching Nadine, Marvin's hands were seen stretching out and tying Nadine's hair. Ardham countered the two. Trying to get Nadine's attention.
"Cook what, Nad?" Ardham asked as he stood beside Nadine.
"I cooked a fried rice for uncle." Nadine replied, glancing at her uncle on her right, and Marvin on her left.
Nadine started to feel irritated by the presence of two men beside her.
"Can you two sit there?" Nadine ordered. Marvin and Ardham stared at each other and never moved from their place. Nadine is getting annoyed.
"All right, if you can't sit down! You two cook, I'll sit down." Nadine said as she was about to leave.
"Don't!" shouted Ardham and Marvin together. Ardham and Marvin reluctantly sat on the chairs, the two of them sat facing Nadine.
"Uncle, didn't Aunt's Anna come already? Why don't you ask Aunty Anna to cook for you?" Marvin whispered softly.
"That's my business Boy, does Nadine cook for you?"
Marvin nodded quickly, proud.
"Nadine." called Ardham exasperated
"Yes uncle." Nadine turned to Ardham.
"Did you cook for uncle too?" Ardham asked a little loudly in Marvin's ear.
"Yes, i cook's for uncle and Aunty Anna too, why is that?"
"I thought it's only for one person." Ardham replied, no less proud.
Marvin growled in annoyance at Ardham's childish, unstable teenage attitude.
"Ooohh Aunty Anna, looking for Ardham's uncle, huh?"
Ardham blushed, then turned to Marvin's eyes that were staring at the door. No Anna.
"Shit." Ardham said to himself, she was working on the new afternoon.
Marvin laughed triumphantly.
Nadine who saw that chuckled, especially seeing Ardham's face flushed like a boiled crab.
"Never mind Marv, don't bother my uncle, or I'll get mad at you later." Nadine threatens.
Ardham smiled with the meaning of staring at Marvin, Marvin looked away.
"Have lunch not started yet?" asked Aunt Anna who was already at the door.
"Not yet Aunty." Nadine replied quickly.
Anna pulled a chair to sit beside Ardham.
"Are you well Ardham?" asked Anna, holding Ardham's forehead attentively.
Nadine's heart hurt again, turning her gaze to the result of her cooking.
"It's not bad." Ardham replied shortly.
"Thank you Nadine, for taking good care of your uncle." said Anna turning to Nadine.
Nadine nervously nodded slightly.
Marvin alternated at Nadine and Ardham.
"What's wrong with uncle Nad? Until you took care of him?" asked Marvin with jealousy.
"Last night Ardham was drunk and Nadine took care of him, because i had not come home last night from out of town." said Anna smiled meaningfully.
"Is that really Nad?" asked Marvin with a heart already filled with jealousy.
Nadine nodded unreasonably. With a face full of disappointment, Marvin looked at Nadine with a wounded heart.
Nadine still seems to have love for Ardham.
"Sorry Aunty Anna, Uncle, I have to go home. I forgot if there was an appointment with a friend." Marvin got up from his seat, and stepped outside, without looking at Nadine, who was dumbfounded.
"Nadine, aren't you after her? Marvin is jealous of that." teased Anna with a smile.
Nadine, who just woke up, got up and ran out after Marvin.
Ardham also stood up intending to follow Nadine.
But Anna's hand held it.
"Never mind, just let it ... don't be obvious if you love Nadine, let Nadine's heart decide." said Anna casually.
"Why are you defending Marvin An?" Ardham asked, getting annoyed.
Anna chuckled, seeing Ardham who was starting to become childish.
"Hey, you're old Ardham, it's no longer appropriate to be like that! Come on, sit down." Anna's hand pulled Ardham's arm back into his seat.
"Remember Ardham from the beginning until now I always support you, let Nadine be with Marvin today." said Anna seriously looking at Ardham.
"You told me this morning that in the threat letter, you mentioned the names Marvin and Bella, right?" asked Anna where before Abay came Ardham called her and told her the threat letter.
"I think ... we should find out about Marvin's family, I'm sure the killer knows Marvin and Bella." continued Anna looked at Ardham seriously.
"You mean I have to support Nadine and Marvin like that to get into the Marvin family." guessed Ardham, who was smart.
"Exactly, I'm sure Marvin's family was the target of the killer too." replied Anna.
"But, I can't stand seeing Nadine being nice to Marv, An ... I just found out how sick An is." sad face Ardham.
"It's for Nadine good sake, Ardham ... you said that for Nadine you can do anything even if Nadine has to marry Marvin." teased Anna.
"Anna! Don't tease me." Ardham's face flushed red.
Anna chuckled, seeing Ardham's 180 degree change. Now looks childish and looks very possessive.
Nadine runs after Marvin, who is walking very fast towards his car.
Nadine quickly grabbed Marvin's arm right behind him.
"Wait Marv, what's wrong with you?" Nadine asked when Marvin stopped in his tracks.
"What's wrong with me? I'm jealous Nad, my heart ached when I found out you took care of your Uncle." Marvin explained with an annoyed face.
"How come you are jealous of my Uncle Marv? I don't really know" Nadine is annoyed too.
"How can I not be jealous of? First he is not your real uncle, who is not blood related, and the second you still love him Nad. That's what makes me sick." sighed Marvin with a sad face leaning against the car door.
Nadine stared at Marvin, guilt overtaking him. Nadine approached, leaned in the car next to Marvin, then took Marvin's hand and in hers,
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you jealous. He was really drunk last night, and Aunt's Anna wasn't there either. So I have to help him Marv, I owe him a lot so I can't just let him go." Nadine explained.
"The problem is not just owed Nad, the problem is because you still love him! That's why you can't let him suffer." said Marvin with a broken heart.
"I still love him Marv, I do not deny it. But you know too that my uncle is married with Aunty Anna, and I already promised to you, right Marv? To learn to love you. So, teach me to be able to love you Marv. You want it, right?"
Marvin's heart drifted, his irritation and disappointment vanished in the wind.
With a small smile Marvin grabbed Nadine's head and laid it on her chest.
"I'll do my best, to make you love me, as long as you give me the time and opportunity." said Marvin sincerely.
Nadine nodded her head.
Inside the house in Ardham's study, Anna rubbed Ardham's shoulder trying to calm Ardham's wounded heart.
From behind the window, Ardham and Anna had been standing watching Nadine and Marvin.
"You have to be strong Ardham, isn't this what you planned from the start?" asked Anna.
"Looks like I can't with this plan An, it hurts too much for me." Ardham's voice was very low.
"Then find another way, before Nadine really fall in love with Marvin." replied Anna
"I'll think about it later, our task now is to know what relationship Marvin, Bella and the killer are, I have to know those side Marvin and Bella are." Ardham said sitting down by massaging his temples which was a little dizzy.
