He Lixue and Lu Nanfeng returned to the mansion; both of their moods were low. Although they had dealt with Lin Xiulan and had shown Di Zhiqing her real colors, the fact that she had tried to fake a pregnancy, and even claiming that Lu Nanfeng was the father left a sour taste in both their mouths.

"Dearest, thank you for trusting in me," Lu Nanfeng said with a low voice, as he looked at He Lixue with adoration in his eyes. 

"Who would I believe in, if not you?" He Lixue asked with a wry smile on her face. "We have been through so much together; you have long since become the support I need in life."

Hearing her words, Lu Nanfeng felt a warm current flow through his body, and most of his unpleasantness vanished, leaving a trace of sweetness.
