27. Family Time ( Part-V )

After waking him up and coming down I informed Narumi-san that he was coming down. We three set the table and kept the dishes ready and sat on the table waiting for Sora. He came down almost immediately and sat down on the table. We all started to eat in silence. I helped Narumi-san to wash the dishes as Meiko and Sora made their way towards the hall to sit.

After helping Narumi-san wash the dishes I also made my way towards the hall to only see them talking about what to do the rest of the day as they don't have anything planned till Shirogana-san's match starts which is in the evening. They then decided to get some practice done in the backyard which is enough for one person to pitch and the other to bat. I was amazed at how much they both loved the sport.

Seeing me coming towards their way they both turned their head towards me. Meiko was first to ask me, "So what are you gonna do Rei. We both are gonna do some practice." I started to think for some time and told them, "I think I am going to go out and jog a bit and exercise."

Sora asked me with concern, "Are you sure Rei, after all, you are still new to the neighborhood and you might get lost."

I just nodded and assured him, "I will just go jog up to the playground we went to yesterday. I remember the route towards it so don't worry."

They both just nodded and made their way towards their room and I followed towards mine. I went inside and changed into more comfortable clothes and came out. I went down to see Narumi-san coming out of the hall.

She saw me and asked, "Are you going out Rei?"

I nodded and told, "Yes, Oba-san I am going to go for a jog."

She nodded and told, "Be careful then Rei."

I nodded and went out of the door. I then started to slowly jog towards the park we went to yesterday. I jogged slowly, maintaining my pace and observing the surroundings. I continued to jog for about an hour. I took some small breaks in the middle as my body didn't have enough stamina for it. As I made it to the park I noticed there were a fair number of people playing different sports. I then went to the bench and sat down. I drank some water out of the fountain which has drinking water. I then felt refreshed and started to do some exercise which I did with the siblings yesterday. After doing them I then started to job back towards home.

It took me another hour to be back. I felt worn out by the time I reached the door. I then opened the door and saw the siblings going up the stairs probably finished playing.

They then turned back to me and greeted me. Meiko then said, "WOW! Rei you did quite some running to be drenched in sweat." I just nodded my head as I felt a bit embarrassed by the praise.

Sora just said, "Good job. Running is good for health."

They both then made their way up and I followed them. I then made my way to my room and sat on my bed for some time to collect my breath. After some time I made my way to the bath and took a long comfortable bath. I then came out feeling completely refreshed. I then wore a fresh pair of clothes and came out of the room. I made my way and saw the siblings already down and watching Tv along with Narumi-san.

I went and sat down and watched with them. Then Narumi-san went towards the kitchen to make the food and I went behind her to help. I then started to help her and as I was helping, I suddenly heard Meiko behind me, "Wow! Rei you are even better than me."

Narumi-san also nodded and said, "Yes he is."

Then we both continued to do it as Meiko sat on the table and conversed with both of us. As the food was done we then kept it on the table and we sat to eat. After eating, I and Sora went towards the hall to sit as Meiko wanted to help her mother wash the dishes. I then felt a bit sleepy from all the running so I turned my head towards Sora and said, "Sora, Can you come and wake me up when the game is about to start I will go and sleep for some time." Sora then nodded and said ok.

I made my way up to sleep. Upon entering the room I then just fell on my bed and slept.

I suddenly felt somebody shaking my body. I slowly opened my eyes to see Sora looking at me with his arms crossed across his chest looking down at me. He then just said, "Wake up the match is starting." and went out of the room.

I slowly woke up looked out of the room and noticed the sun was setting. I went to the washroom to wash my face. I then went down and went to the hall and sat on the couch and turned my head towards the television to see the match.
