Reinforcements like timely rain

Armand and King Ebrardus went quickly towards the wall to take command of the army. There were around 30,000 stationed at the wall and around 10,000 were standing as a reserve as the wall couldn't have more space for more. They reached the top of the wall, he looked around. The space in front of the wall was filled with demonic beasts. Around 60,000 soldiers were fighting them, it's been three hours since the fighting with Demonic beasts has been started. The ground was full of bodies of the Demonic beasts and soldiers. The ground was dyed with the red colour of the blood. The number of Demonic beasts was very greater than the soldiers.

The soldiers on the wall were attacking with bows and spears. And soldiers who were fighting Demonic beasts with swords, spears and shields. The soldiers were not weak by any chance. They killed numerous Rank H and I demonic beasts. But most troublesome were Rank G and F demonic beasts. They were very strong, and most soldiers were killed by these two rank Demonic beasts.

After watching witnessing the scene, Armand became extremely angry. He went to the battleground and started to kill Demonic beasts. He killed a few hundred in half an hour. A Demonic beast of Rank F came to fight with Armand. He was very skilled and was fighting toe to toe with the demonic beast. Suddenly, he heard a few screams of soldiers. He turned around towards the screams. A Rank-F demonic beast was killing the soldiers mercilessly. After killing soldiers it reached the foot of the wall. The demonic beast swung his claw and tried to break the wall but it only left a few cracks on the wall.

Armand was watching this from a few dozen meters away. "The wall was made from good material. Rank F demonic beast can only leave a few cracks on the wall."

Soldiers who were standing on the other side of the wall came to the battleground and took place of the soldiers killed.

After that, the same demonic beast started to kill soldiers. Armand tried to go to stop the demonic beast from killing soldiers but another demonic beast which he was fighting with suddenly intercept his way and attack him. The claw connected to his right chest and sent him flying backwards a few meters. Blood spurted from his mouth. He clenched his right chest as he felt a strong pain.

King Ebrardus was watching the whole battle from the wall. Upon witnessing Armand battle with the demonic beast and his soldiers dying, King Ebrardus couldn't stand still and jumped into the battleground.

The nearby soldiers rushed to Armand's side and held him up. If something happened to Armand Only King Ebrardus could fight Rank F demonic beasts. That soldier worriedly asked "Sir, Are you ok?" He turned towards another soldier "Oi, come here take commander to treat his injuries?"

Armand said in a low voice "Don't worry, I am alright." After saying it he stood while stumbling.

He stood up and held his sword tightly, he clenched his teeth in anger and took a stance to fight with the demonic beast. As he tried to rush forward, A loud boom sound ringed through the whole battlefield. Both Soldiers and Demonic beasts turned to see the source of the sound. A massive Demonic beast around 15 feet tall was standing near the wall. The wall in front of the beast was completely shattered making a massive hole in the wall. The beast was Rank E Demonic beast. It was a type of Ogre, It has a very muscular body and was holding a very sturdy tree. Other Demonic beasts started to enter the hole in the wall in great numbers. The endless stream of demonic beasts started to enter the hole.

Some soldiers lost the motivation to fight after watching Rank E smashed the wall. "We are finished, these demonic beasts will trample the whole kingdom."

King Ebrardus called a nearby soldier and quickly said, "Go to the palace and told everyone to evacuate to the kingdom of Etherac. Go as fast as possible."

The soldier nodded and ran towards the gate. but when he reached near the gate he stopped. The Demonic beasts stopped to enter the hole in the wall.

Everyone was confused as to why demonic beasts stopped to enter the kingdom.

Armand came near King Ebrardus. Ebrardus turned around towards Armand "Are you ok? The blow looked very serious."

"I am ok. I can still manage, but why the demonic beasts stopped to enter the wall?"

As they were talking, a loud sound boomed on the whole battlefield. The Rank E demonic beast was sent flying for tens of meters from the wall. The Rank E demonic beast fell hard on the ground trampling other Demonic beasts.

Everyone present in the battleground had their shock of the century. Their mouth was agape that even an egg could be easily inserted. Rank E stumbled while getting up. He stood up but after a great struggle.

Suddenly the demonic beasts who entered the hole started to come out while sliding. After around minute or two, almost all the Demonic beasts came out of the hole.

Few soldiers wearing full-body armour with big shields as big as 4 ft came out of the hole. They stood in a line while holding Shield in their left hand and holding Spears in their right hand holding it parallel to the ground in unison. They simultaneously started to thrust their Spears at a very fast rate, pierced various Demonic beasts killing them on the spot. They slowly moved forward while killing the Demonic beasts like killing machines. After them another row of Soldiers wearing the same full-body armour while holding spear came out of the wall. After some time around 10,000 soldiers stood in few rows in a very disciplined way.

After the soldiers, a roar came out of the hole. Every Demonic beast present in the battlefield trembled after hearing the roar.

The soldiers of the Kingdom of Ocawyth were very confused. Armand asked King Ebrardus "Did you asked for Reinforcements? Which kingdom has so strong soldiers?"

"I didn't ask any kingdom to send reinforcements. We don't have that good relationship with other kingdoms that they will send reinforcements without asking help. Wait a second" King Ebrardus eyes lit up when an idea came to his mind.

Suddenly the soldiers made a space between them, Two persons came out of the space, One was riding a horse and other was riding a beast. They were the commander and supreme commander of the Army of the Kingdom of Etherac Dye and Xander.

King Ebrardus roared with laughter. Other Soldiers were staring at their king that at the battlefield where danger lingered everywhere, he was laughing. He laughed as he said "I knew it, As father as a son."

Armand was confused. He started to scratch his head slightly. He finally asked King Ebrardus "Do you know him? Who is he?"

King Ebrardus was laughing non-stop "You also know him".

Armand skeptically looked towards Xander "I can't remember, I don't know a man who can tame such a strong beast. Just tell me who he is?"

King Ebrardus's face became slightly red. His corners of the mouth were reaching his ears "He is the son of Arthur."

Armand was shocked to the core "You mean that Arthur." King Ebrardus nodded "That small child became this strong."

King Ebrardus nodded. He is that little child but now he became a man."

Xander looked around only dead bodies of demonic beast and soldiers of the Kingdom of Ocawyth. The ground was painted with red blood. Many soldiers were fighting Demonic beasts. King Ebrardus and another man with few soldiers were standing a few dozen meters away from him. He turned around and told the soldiers in a loud voice "1000 soldiers will stay here and protect the hole. Don't let even a single beast to enter. 8000 from rest, split in a team of 10 and start as you wish. Just don't go overboard and try to be safe and the remaining 1000 soldiers stay with me. now Go!"

Soldiers nodded. 1000 soldiers stayed and made a phalanx formation. Rest made 90 teams of 10 soldiers and started to kill the Demonic beasts.

Xander and Dye along with the remaining 1000 soldiers went towards King Ebrardus. They reached in just 5 minutes as few demonic beasts tried to attack them. But they easily killed them.

Xander climbed down from Tyson and stood on the ground. He greeted both men. They also greeted him back. He asked King Ebrardus with a slight complaint in his voice "Father, why didn't you asked me for help?"

"It's not like I didn't want to, It's just that I planned to send my wife and Elisia to you for refuge if we couldn't defend the kingdom."

Xander nodded "Don't worry, Now I am here, these ants can not even scratch the surface of the wall." He looked towards the other man and asked king Ebrardus "He is...."

"Ah, Let me introduce."He pointed towards Armand "He is the commander of the Army of Kingdom of Ocawyth Armand." and then he pointed towards Xander "This young man is King of Kingdom of Etherac."

Xander took out his hand to shake hands. Armand also took his hand and shaken hands.

Armand told Xander while shaking his hands "Thank you for coming to assist us, your reinforcement came just like Timely rain."

As they were talking a roar came from their side. They turned to look, It was same Rank E beast who smashed a hole in the wall.
