Break Up?

*Little bit of PG-16. You've been warned~ Not much though.*

Upon entering their room, Ginny sighed in relief as she massaged her wrists. Seeing her slow rubbing actions, Alan walked over to help her massage the reddened area. The grocery bags weighed down around her wrist when she carried it earlier, creating marks on her fair skin.

"Does it hurt?" He asked while applying pressure on the strained area.

Ginny shook her head with a silly smile. "I'm fine. Once blood circulates better, the mark will disappear. We should hurry and go wash up. Lily and Lin Que are waiting for us." She reminded him of their dinner plans.

"Hold on." He stopped massaging her wrists and pulled her in for a hug.

"Hmm? What's wrong?" Ginny knotted her hands behind his back, relaxing her head on his shoulder.

"Nothing. It just felt like it's been a while since we've hugged. I could never get enough of hugs and kisses from you." He felt something tugging his heartstrings ever since he witnessed his best friend's proposal a few nights ago. As much as he knew how smooth Lin Que's relationship has been going, he didn't expect his friend to make such a quick move.

From his estimation, Lily and Lin Que started dating not too long ago. Therefore, he had other thoughts in his mind when he thought about the sudden proposal. After congratulating him plentiful times, he had a talk with Lin Que while everyone else was busy singing karaoke.

With the lightning speed progress, anyone would think that they were expecting a child. After hearing his assumptions, Lin Que laughed and patted his back. His response to Alan's inquiry was very simple. "I love her, and I want to spend the rest of my life with her. Since I already had this thought in mind, I might as well take action. You won't be an uncle any time soon."

The conversation lightened up as Alan listened to Lin Que's words. Throughout the entire night, Alan had trouble sleeping. The topic of marriage had also been on his mind even though he only dated Ginny for a few months. Their relationship was going well.

Recently, he realized his objectives were getting clearer. He knew what he wanted out of this relationship, but he had never asked her. If he proposed to her, would she say yes to him? This was a question that has been tangling a knot in his heart for a while.

"Ginny.." He whispered.

"Hmm?" She lifted her head, settling her chin against his chest.

"What if...What if..we get engaged?" His voice trailed off near the end of his question as his confidence lowered. With one brow arched upward, Ginny looked at him with a confused expression. She couldn't hear what he said just now.

"What did you just say?" She asked, tilting her head sideways.

"I..I.." He stuttered, realizing how difficult and courageous it took Lin Que to propose.

"Is something bothering you? You've been staring out of space since last night. Are you feeling ill?" She placed the back of her hand on his forehead to take his temperature. After making sure he had no fever, she exhaled a deep breath.

"I..Uhm..I.. want to take a bath first." At this moment, he wanted to face-palm himself so badly. Out of all the things he could've spat out, he mentioned taking a bath first. Where did his courage go?

"Oh. If that's the case, then I'll help you adjust the water temperature in the restroom. For some reason, it takes a few minutes before we get hot water. I forgot to tell the manager about this." She broke away from his hug and walked past him.

Alan bit down on his lips and decided to gather up his courage. Walking in large steps towards her, he called out her name once again. "Ginny."

"Hmm? What's wrong?" She thought he was acting a bit weird ever since they've arrived at the resort. Patiently waiting for his response, she stood still like a statue while maintaining eye contact with him.

Based on the way he looked her in the eyes, she could tell he had something important he wanted to talk about. A few minutes passed and he kept silent. As various ideas ran through her head, she began feeling anxious.

She read an article a month or two ago about a girl who was on vacation with her boyfriend. The couple ended up breaking up because the boyfriend didn't like the way the girl ate ramen with vinegar. It was a stupid excuse, but there were no warnings for these topics.

Staring at the quiet man in front of her, she tried convincing herself to think positively. She asked, "Is there something you want to say to me about our relationship?"

His eyes widened when he thought she might be thinking about the same thing. "Yes, there is something I want to talk about. Ginny, you...What do you think of our relationship so far? Do you think we are compatible with each other?"

Perhaps her mind was already determined that he was thinking about breaking up with her, these questions made her heart race faster. 'W..What do you mean? I think we are pretty compatible. Why? Do you think we don't fit together?"

Her tone changed when she answered his inquiry. No matter how she thought about it, their relationship is very good. There should be no reason for him to think about breaking up with her.

"No. I think we make a very good match too. You might think it is a bit early, but I really want to say this to you. You might even think I should wait to make such a hasty decision, but I still want to say it." Usually, Alan could sense the change in Ginny's mood. Unfortunately, his nervousness blinded him from noticing her worries.

She bit her lip and stepped away from him. "I don't want to break up." Tears surfaced her eyes as salty droplets trailed down her cheeks, warming her skin. Her rosy lips looked a tint redder as her cheeks turned pink from crying.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying? Who said I wanted to break up with you?" He quickly consoled her, wiping her tears with his thumb. This was the first time he saw her cry and his heart ached to see her like this. He only wanted to talk about where their relationship was heading. He wanted to make sure they were heading for the same goal.

Taking a few tissues from the tissue box, Alan dabbed the tears dry. No matter how he tried comforting her, tears continued to fall. Her voice sounded weak like a newborn kitten as she pointed at his chest and said it was him who misled her thoughts.

To clear things up, he decided to make a bold move to stop her cries. He lifted her up, placed her on the table and closed the gap between their lips. She resisted his kisses at first, but gradually she started returning them.

He angled his head slightly slanted and slowly devoured her lips with his. When she reciprocated the kisses, he slowed down the kiss. His lips were warm and wet as it sucked on hers. From soft nibbles to moist French kisses, he took each step slowly.

Conveying his feelings to her through action was not what he wanted to do. But this was an exceptional case where he had to calm her down. Her arms slid up his chest, making its way around his nape. Perhaps the kisses were too slow for her pace; she pulled him in for a deeper kiss.

Her sudden pull caused him to lose his balance. With her arms circled loosely around his nape, she leaned her back on the table. His shirt wrinkled as her fingers ran up and down his collar. Coincidentally, she was wearing a dress today, which made it more convenient for him to settle between her legs.

With her legs crossed around his waist, his hands slowly ran up and down her thighs. Moans escaped her mouth as they broke their long, passionate kiss. As they gasped for air, he planted kisses on her forehead and cheeks.

After calming down, Ginny patted his shoulders, indicating for him to stand up. Understanding her gesture, he straightened his back and helped her sit up.

She asked, "You said it wasn't about breaking up. Then, what did you want to say?" Her actions were embarrassing to the point she wanted to dig a hole for herself to hide in. How could she be so impatient and jump to conclusions?

"I wanted to ask you what you think of our relationship and where it is going. I wanted to ask you if you were willing to marry me in the future. I didn't think you would overthink and end up crying. Sorry." He apologized as he caressed her pink cheeks.

"I'm sorry too. I should've listened to you carefully. As for us...and our future.." Her voice trailed off like how his voice did when he attempted to ask the first time.

Seeing the nervous face he was making, she decided to tease him. She hummed lowly before hooking her finger on the collar of his shirt. With his ear so close to her lips, she whispered, "Yes, I will..whenever you decide you're ready to walk that step."

"You-" Before he could give a response, her lips melted against his once again. Slowly, they began sharing another affectionate kiss.

Meanwhile, in Lily and Lin Que's room, the atmosphere was much steamier than this room.
