With the upper echelon of the empire almost being taken down entirely by Lu Xuan, the dark spellcasters' faction grew exponentially for the past year or so, enabling them to almost be on par with the empire of vampires in terms of power.

Things would have gotten worse if it had not been for Cain—the ancestor of the vampires—being the key intimidation factor to the spellcasters.

The dark spellcasters would have otherwise taken over the vampires' place entirely before long.

"Such speed." Garcia saw a flicker. Lu Xuan appeared right in front of him, making the young man's frightening speed obvious to all.

The speed was so great that it had easily broken the sound barrier.
