Arrows let loose in the air, Venator formed more pillars of ice, trying to continue his assault in this predicament.
He continued charging, now bearing fire instead of ice as he ran forward towards the user.
His quiver slowly became empty with each shot. His sword swung fruitlessly, grazing the user while he fought. The user took out a short blade and began fighting back, throwing Venator on the defensive.
Blades clashed again while they moved around, attacking and parrying as sparks flew while fire spread farther from the battleground.
The army of Bellunamien began retreating as another battle raged on. Leaving Venator with the user.
The bow shattered in a helpless attempt to parry as the user's blade was thrown on the ground, Venator drove his sword through the user, removing it he quickly ended the fight with a slash to the chest.
He stepped back, walking back to where the army once stood, staring at a now empty field of land with shattered arrows scattered around it.
In the far distance, he could see the army continuing to move.
"Is this some kind of offensive?" He questioned himself. the fight was over where he stood, archers burned to death while the user rested dead on the dirt with his group.
As Venator looked further, he noticed something. Bellunamien's army was already fighting another army.
"So this is how it feels to do this. Thank that god for the drink." He started running back down, sprinting towards the army now fighting another enemy.
He ran above broken arrows, hearing it crunch under him in his rush.
The run was short, finally reaching the new battle. The shouts were far louder coupled with the clanging of metal.
Further in the battle, more armies were battling each other down the hill they were fighting on. An army far larger.
"This must be the main force." He moved forward with fire and a sword. Soldiers standing on the rear looked back, freezing once again as they looked at Venator moving quickly to their fight.
He flanked the enemy force, with fire Venator started slinging fire at the soldiers of the rear, slowly making his way to the soldiers near the front. Controlling his hand to try and miss Bellunamien soldiers.
A gap formed in the battle with soldiers beginning to pour through, flanking the enemy quickly.
"They got that covered hopefully. Time to see that other battle."
Downhill, he saw a few groups of mages, running around Bellunamien's force, now formed into a wall of shields while fire continued crashing into them.
"Fire really is a common magic." Venator thought. he started planning on his next move, seeing the larger army and bigger force of mages fighting.
"Wonder if they start falling back if i kill more of their mages. Bellunamien's army is on the defensive, atleast they can hold out while i do my thing. The mages really have to go first."
Venator finished planning, in a second he started rushing down while mages started circling the wall of shields, trying to pierce it with their magic. The wall simply held on, covered from all sides and from the top, desperately fending them off while spears thrusted outwards, trying to fight back in their defense.
Venator began attacking the mages, their backs turned to the soldiers while he quickly cut them down.
As the first one fell, the others began turning, he started rushing through more, one by one they were cut down before fire could stirke Venator.
"First one down." A gorup in front of him turned to his direction. A pillar of ice rose in front of the group as they began their attack.
Behind it, Venator shattered the pillar, stabbing the first user through the shards as the others looked in shock.
Fire grazed Venator's shoulder beofre his sword could crash down on the last mage of the group.
The army of earlier began running down the hill, finished with their fight and prepared to join the main battleground. They charged at the opposing force, slamming into them while the shield wall stayed frozen. Soldiers slammed against each other in a massive close quarter brawl.
"Alright, now for the mages on the other side."
A side of the wall became broken, a small group of mages walked through uncontested as the shields began forming around them, a bulge into the wall was formed hastily.
Venator arrived at the face of the face heading into the formation. The group was busy spewing streaks of fire at the shields, slowly heating up.
In near unison, the mages all slung their arms towards Venator. A wall quickly formed in front of him, slowly the fires melted through it.
"That was close." Venator breathed quicker than normal, staring at the sudden attack.
Molten through, the ice shattered. Venator started slashing at each mage. Fire spewed around, desperately trying to hit him.
As he stood over the bodies, the energy rush began ceasing. Venator now felt fatigue once more, burn marks wounded parts of his body.
Out of the bulge, he looked at the soldiers, groups of armored fighters ran from the battle, the remaining mages fell into retreat with them. Fire now dwindling in their hands, leaving charred bodies and burned ground near the shields.
"Worked rather too well." Venator gave chase on the mages.
Slowly, their numbers dwindled, no longer trying to fight but to run uphill with their army.
Venator cut them down quickly in their disorganized retreat, consumed by fear of the losing battle.
the battle was now over. A moment of silence followed while he looked at the final dead mage, lying beneath him.
Soldiers behind him felt confused, seeing his magic but not fighting them, instead fighting the enemy.
Few approached Venator while most stayed in position. Confusion gluing them to the ground.
Their swords and spears were ready, cautiously moving forward to him while he stared back at them.
"Who are you! And explain yourself you filthy magic user!" One of the soldiers yelled.
The battle was over, with no more mages in sight. Venator began running away. The soldiers gave chase, but they slowly began stopping.
Venator ran towards the soldiers, still running on the field, but now far from battle.
