Welcoming Mi Chang

Xi Hua ignored Zenghai as she ran straight past him and towards Yu Chen.

Hua held Chen's shoulders and shook her, exclaiming, "Chen!! He's brought her!!! He's brought that woman!"

The plates in Yu Chen's hands rattled as she steadied herself. Chen sighed as Huo Zenghai came running towards them, "Who's brought who? What's going on!?" he exclaimed.

Yu Chen sighed as she wriggled out of Xi Hua's hands. She had expected her friends to be surprised, but this was a bit of an overreaction. Setting the plates down, she held Hua's hand and said, "I know. I asked Xia to bring her. Come on now. We shouldn't be rude."

Chen then led a very horrified looking Xi Hua and a very confused Huo Zenghai to the main door.

Huo Zenghai stopped dead and Xi Hua looked dazed as Chen led Xi Hua to Si Xia and Mi Chang, who were still standing in the doorway.

Chen smiled and said, "Come in, both of you. Come in."

She hugged and planted a kiss on Xia's cheek as he came in and turned to Mi Chang with a smile. She held out her hand and said, "Hii Mi Chang. Welcome. This is Xi Hua and Huo Zenghai."

Chin introduced the two and said, "Guys, this is Mi Chang, Xia's childhood friend. I asked Si Xia to bring her to dinner."

Xi Hua winced in pain as Chen kicked her. She smiled and shook Chang's hand, saying, "You don't need to be so formal, it's just a dinner among friends."

Xi Hua eyed Mi Chang, who was wearing a short black dress with leggings. She definitely had too much make-up on for a dinner. She was quite a contrast to Yu Chen, Xi Hua and Si Xia, who were in their home clothes.

Chang blushed as Huo Zenghai shook her hand. Chen glared at Hua before saying with a smile, "I think you look beautiful Chang. Come on everyone, dinner's almost ready."

Saying this Yu Chen skipped back to the dining room, leaving the four to follow.

At the dinner table, everyone complimented Yu Chen's cooking.

"Oh Chen!! You've really outdone yourself!!!" Xi Hua exclaimed as she took her third helping.

"Yeah Chen. I say you open up a restaurant. Use Xia's money for that!!" Huo Zenghai chimed in.

Yu Chen chuckled, "I might think about it. What do you say Xia?"

"No." Si Xia replied, looking very cross.

Xi Hua: "....."

Huo Zenghai: "...."

Yu Chen raised an eyebrow and Xia tucked a strand of hair behind her ear before saying, "I don't want to share your cooking with anyone else."

Huo Zenghai laughed, "That's going a bit too far."

Si Xia looked at him with a smug expression, "No dessert for you today."

Huo Zenghai pouted and looked towards Chen, who leaned against Si Xia with a smile, "If the boss says so."

Huo Zenghai: "..... Save me Hua. These guys are bullying me."

Xi Hua said without even looking up from her plate, "Nope. I want my dessert."

Everyone burst out laughing upon hearing this.

Si Xia turned towards Mi Chang and spoke, "What's wrong Chang? You don't like the food."

Yu Chen peeked at Mi Chang, who was sitting on the other side of Si Xia's, as she shook her head, "No. The food's great. I was just wondering something."

"Hope it's about giving me your share of dessert." Huo Zenghai mumbled.
