CHAPTER FOUR

MARK

After dropping me off the guys decided that they'll go ahead first as to give us some privacy. I took a deep breathe before opening the doors using my own keys.

"Honey, I'm home" I announce, removing my shoes and coming in using my own slippers. Dad was the first person to welcome me "Hey Dad!" I hugged him while he pats my back and looks at me up and down.

"Hey babe" I heard Eunjee called and saw her wearing a shirt that says 'My husband is hot', I covered my mouth before a laugh escapes from it. Even I saw dad tried to cover up his smiles. "Don't you just like our new couple shirt?" she raised another shirt that's a bit bigger. Dad couldn't take it anymore he laughs hysterically. Same as Eunjee's the shirt has a print that says 'But my wife is hotter'.

"Mom, we both know I don't like this kind of shirt right?" I complained when I saw mom entered the room as well.

"Nonsense. Its not like you're allowed to wear this outside, so I only thought that you might just wear this as your pajamas or something and you two will look so cute with this. So change into this now" Mom pushed me inside Eunjee's room making sure that the shirt is with me. I look at it once again before finally yielding and changing into it. I looked at myself in the mirror, maybe I could drop something on it during dinner so I could change back to my shirt later, that seems to be a good plan. Yeah maybe I should do that later.

Finally deciding that i'm ready to face everyone with this shirt I opened the doors when a sudden flash caused me to stop from my tracks. "Nice, You look good son. Now let me send this to the boys" My dad teased. Of course you can count on my dad in taking embarrassing picture of his son, I didn't even had the chance to stop him from sending the photos to the boys.

Eunjee showed up and when she saw me she quickly moves towards me and taking me back again inside  her room. When we were safely inside the room, she locks the door and looks at me. "We need to talk" she finally says and goes to her bed and sits.

"You do realize that my parents are outside and the only thing that separates us from them is your door" i silently said to her before sitting beside her.

"Your mom wants us to stay together tonight." she pauses before looking to me "She wants you to sleep here tonight, I told her you cant because you still have a schedule for tomorrow and so was I so I won't be able to take care of you while your here but she insists that its better if we both stay the night together. " she finishes.

Since my choice of career demands all my time, we were required to stay in one dorm and mom knows that's since that's how I've been living for so many years now. I laid down and think about what I should do since it my move now. Maybe I could tell her about the scheduled physical exam tomorrow, manager even told us to take a lot of rest. Eunjee laid down as well and released a very deep sigh. "To think today was also very hectic and now this. How are we going to dodge this one?" Eunjee asks. This scene is quite dramatic though, we are both laying down on a same bed and looking up to nothing but plain white.

I slightly glance at her and I saw her slightly closing her eyes, she must have been tired after all she came from the hospital. A slight knock came from the door woke her up and also making me stop from looking at her. She rose up from the bed and went to open the door. I also stood up and went beside her only to hear mom calling for us to eat dinner. I looked at Eunjee and nodded at her.

"Let me talk to mom" I told her as she keeps looking at me then she smiled. "Trust me okay" I assured her before going towards the kitchen

"Finally, we thought you two are doing something we wouldn't do when the parents are around" Mom teases which made both me and Eunjee really embarrass. "Don't worry, your dad and I will be out of here right after dinner and you two can continue what you were doing back then" Mom continues.

"Oh! I wont be staying the night though, we have an early schedule tomorrow. I can't really ask manager-hyung to pick me up here, it would be unfair for the others" I finally said, Eunjee sat beside me also waiting for what my mom would say. Dad was busy typing something on his phone to even pause and listen to our conversation.

Mom sat down and so I did, she kept smiling at me before speaking. "Honey you don't have to worry about that. I just had a call from your manager and he told me that I would be okay for you to stay here for the night since your schedule tomorrow is going to be with Eunjee. He also said that you can also come together, he'll just meet you at the basement then." My mom sweetly informed me.

Wait, I didn't know about that. I looked at Eunjee she was already biting her bottom lip. I nudge her knee as both of my parent were busy arguing about phone off the table.

"Babe, lets eat first." Eunjee laughed slightly just to avoid the conversation from going further.

We all ate and slightly laughed whenever Dad would say something funny. Eunjee was also trying to avoid conversations about our marriage whenever mom would ask something about it. I was the first one to finish my food followed by dad and so did mom and Eunjee. Eunjee offered to clean the dishes but mom insisted on helping her. I was left alone with dad and he was asking me to have a little drink with him. Since I'm not allowed to get drunk tonight because of the physical exam tomorrow, we both settled to drinker coffee instead.

"So hows the marriage life looking out for you?" Dad asked

"It been okay so far" I answered politely

"I know that this was a hard decision for you son, to think I was really worried that this thing wouldn't suit you. But it looks like I'm worrying for nothing." Dad took a sip from his coffee and looks at me "you and I both know that if I had another choice I wouldn't put you into this kind of trouble." he smiled. I nod and he continues "You should be good to her though. She's been through a lot, and if your mother had other choice she wouldn't put you through this also. We just cant go back to our words, a promise is a promise you know"

"I know dad, you and mom don't have to worry about anything. As you can see, Eunjee and I try to at least make thing work for both of us. Its been a challenge but we are both coping up." I reassured dad

"Good to know then. Now let's see how the boys react to your shirt" He teases while putting away his coffee and getting his phone. I heard him laugh and he shows me my members reaction to the picture. I look embarrassing. I scrolled to all their comment.

Bambam: I agree with hyung shirt

Yugyeom: Hyung looks cute though

Jb: Our boy is finally growing up

Jackson: What!! I thought I was the hotter one.

Jinyoung: We both know you're nothing to Mark hyung Jackson

Youngjae: Love is truly wonderful. It does move people. Hyung should wear that during rehearsals

Jackson: Shut up Jinyoung. MarkSon Forever

Bambam: Yo! Papa T. send us some sneak pics of noona and hyung

Yugyeom: We can use that for future reference or to some sort of things

Jinyoung: I can smell your evilness maknae, why don't you start running before I show you right attitude

Jb: Papa T. You should visit again soon, we'll hangout with you as well, we all miss you and so as aunty

I laughed to some of their comments but I was also annoyed because they are so going to use these pictures against me. " dad, you should listen to mom, you need to stop using your phone so much" I sighed after giving him his phone back.

"I cant do that. Papa Tuans followers needs their daily dose of Marky Humor" He said, I laughed at his antics but let him be because that's how he supports me.

"Honey, we should probably prepare soon. Son why don't you and Eunjee rest already. We'll just lock the doors before we leave. " Mom instructed after calling out for dad

"I'm still okay mom." I assured mom but that didn't work with my mom. If she was strong enough she would definitely drag me inside Eunjees room, good thing she's not but her eyes are scarry so instead of going against her instructions, I simply followed because what Mama Tuan wants she surely gets.

"Rest well my babies, you have an early schedule tomorrow so you'll need all your energy. Good night" Mom kissed my cheeks before pushing me inside the room. Eunjee was already standing behind me, giving me a new set of clothes.

"Here, wear this for awhile. You can just go after they leave, you can bring my car and i'll just use the bus tomorrow." she smiles before going to the bed.

"Why didn't you tell me about the physical exam tomorrow? no erase that, how did you become our doctor suddenly" I asked her

"Honestly speaking, I was also shocked when I was given this job. President Lim made sure I accept this job, your company even offered me a raise in my salary. I don't know why they wanted me to see through your health personally, all JYP's entertainments artists are all under my care. My chief even gave me tons of paper works all about you guys." She explains

"So why didn't you tell me?

"Cause I thought your management already told you, since I was the one who personally wrote the letter for your physical exam. I thought you knew." she sighed

"You should have told me" i insisted because i was already getting annoyed. I wouldnt be stock in here if she'd told me sooner about her being our doctor tomorrow. Good thing my parents are going after a while. I went inside the her bathroom look at myself in the mirror. I locked the doors and decided to take a hot bath instead, just to calm me nerves.

EUNJEE

Mark was pissed that one I cant deny so the moment i heard the showers turned on I released my frustration by punching and shouting on the pillow just his parents wont hear me. Good thing he wont be staying for long because his parents are going out in awhile, i'm even lending him my car, so ungrateful.

His at fault too, i didnt know that he wasn't informed about me being their new doctor. I mean I even delivered the letter myself to their office. How could his manager not tell him, as far as I know his manager knows about us so he could have told him about me.

He cant blame me for this, how am i going to face him later when his out of the bathroom or tomorrow during their physical exam. I throw another punch on the pillow and cursed at him. To think before the dinner he was really kind to me, he even offered a lot of smiles and reassuring. I even felt him watching me while I was resting my eyes, although to be honest, when i felt his stare my heart did beat fast, i dont know why it did that but I really felt it, i was more afraid that he might have felt it too. Good thing a knock caught his attention away from me, i took that as an opportunity to get away from him and opened the door but he didnt stop there. I noticed that no one was behind the door and he was beside me looking at me, when i looked at him he was really staring like his trying to read me, he even smiled at me and said that he'll talk to his mom. I didnt know what to say so i just smiled at him.

I heard the shower go off so I panicked because I didnt know what to do when he sees me still awake and i definitely dont want to talk to him when his annoyed so i did what i think is best and pretended to be sleeping.

I tried hearing his movement inside the bathroom but failed so I continued what I'm doing and thats pretending to be sound asleep. I even left some space for him to lay down incase he needed one, good thing that I bought i bigger bed when I first came here. I waited for him to come out and when he did i was full acting mode.

MARK

I unlocked the bathroom doors and didnt dry my hair i just let the towel hang on my head as i walk out. I look to the bed and Eunjee was already sleeping, she didnt even change her clothes. I approach her side and she was breathing deeply, sleeping soundly. I sat next to her side and ook a minute to just look at her , trying to memorize her outline.

I thought about our earlier discussion, maybe I was bit hard on her. It wasnt really her fault she didnt know. It was my choice to use the physical exam to my mom. It wasnt her fault that i didnt know, it wasnt her job to inform me anyways. She released a slight breath and she looked so cute.

Wait did I just say that, she moved a bit and changed her position. A silver necklace came out of her shirt and i smiled when i saw what the pendant was. It was our wedding ring, so she keeps it that way too. I took my own ring out and look at her.

"Maybe this whole situation wasn't so bad afterall" I silently said. I slowly stood up and went back inside the bathroom to hang the towel I was using ang combed my hair done.

I still hear my parents talking outside so I decided to lay down for a bit, it was a good thing that Eunjee left enough space for me, since her bed was big enough, it didnt really bother me to lay down next to her. We are after all married.

I tried entertaining myself with some video clips and updates from naver, with Eunjees light snores next to me and some random clips in front of me, i didnt notice my own eyes dropping and my own tiredness taking over.

EUNJEE

I accidentally fell asleep after pretending to be asleep, maybe i was really tired. What woke me up is not a what but a who. I felt strong arms around my waist which made me a bit uncomfortable so when i was fully awake and noticed a lean arm around me my next reaction was to look whose behind me and there I saw Mark, sleeping soundly with his phone behind him which is still playing something.

I had to reach out behind him so I could turn off his phone and place it on the side table. When i tried to get out from his arms he even held me tighter and slightly let out a breath.

"Dont take my pillow away" he slowly and slightly said, i let out a silent laugh. He looks kinda cute when his asleep though. I hate to disturb his deep slumber so i went back to my original position. This is not really illegal right? His still my husband so I guess his allowed to do this kind of things.

I tried making myself comfortable but I cannot. I tried to think of ways to make myself comfortable but nothing seems to work. I cant really move and face him that would be really awkward.

Mark slightly moves his arms away from me but instead of fully removing it away from me he moved himself more closer to me and again putting his arms around my waist.

He extended his other arm above my head, i tried to look at him but his sleeping comfortably and deeply. I raised my head to again try moving, but instead of moving a bit away from him, his like the flash when he suddenly moves again but his move ended me facing him and his arms around my waist tightly while his other arm is where my head is laying now. I'm like a baby cradled in his arms. My heart was beating fast because of how close Marks face is to mine. I can even smell him properly in this position.

Afraid that I might wake him up I tried relaxing and focused on my breathing, I notice how our breathing matched and how I can hear his heart beats with the proximity we have. Smelling him and hearing his heartbeat and breathing made me comfortable and safe. I feel like I'm being protected eventually sleep catch up to me and the next thing I know, i felt something damp on my head but since i was too tired, I didn't know what it was only that i was really comfortable.
