Master of Catastrophe

Thousands of years pass in the Desolate Realm yet only a few years pass on Earth. In this time, peace and prosperity had covered the Sovereignty of Man, the Beast Realm to the north had been divided into two, one part being peaceful and organized the other full of slaughter and mayhem. Beasts kill each other to ascend to greater heights amongst the food chain.

Beast Realm ruled by the Beast Emperors, Heavenly Realm Creatures, who created many clans of the beast, each with powerful bloodlines that could be traced back to the Divine Beast Dragon God.

The Divine Beast Dragon God had ascended some time ago, around the emergence of the Deities. The severely injured dragon spews dragon breath and power inside the Beast Realm, forcing the beast to live in constant slaughter, only those who gain sentience are allowed to join clans and strengthen the Beast Race against the Human Race.

They had not forgotten their enemy and the humiliation that they had gone through, leaving their massive open land behind as they were pushed to the brink of extermination, if not for their God, they would have been killed.

Inside the Beast Realm, massive beasts could be seen fighting each other with pure madness in their eyes. They exchange wound for blows, causing the ground around them to be filled with crimson blood.

If one was observant enough, one would realize this wasn't the first time this had happened and it probably won't be the last, as the massive amount of black stains on the ground was proof.

The black was undoubtedly blood!

The black horse raises its hoofs and stomps down, causing a shock wave to hurl at the hyena who possesses glaring red eyes.

The black horse had been moving along the rivers with his herd when it sensed a dangerous creature approaching, as the Black Horse King, one of the kings underneath the Furious Wild Beast Emperor, a lion, had immense pride and strength, so he sent his flock away and stormed towards the incoming enemy.

Compared to the horse in the past, his size was bigger than them by a few times. His hoofs had black flames erupting from it, and a long tail full of flames. With it's appearance, it looks like a Hell Horse than anything else.

Hyena had a huge body equal to that of the horse, with ghostly red eyes that look ominous with its black body. Black smoke rose and dispersed from the mouth of the beast, causing the air to rot and decay; the beast was obviously an ominous Beast, not a Divine Beast.

The hyena had traveled the entire Beast Realm looking for ways to evolve to become a Beast Emperor, defeating and killing any beast he could, however, none could force it's potential out.

It was only after reaching the territory of one of the most powerful beasts did it learn that a Beast King lived close by, one which had the potential to become a Beast Emperor did he arrive here and happen to coincidently notice the Horse King.

He didn't care for the fact that the Horse King might not be the one he was looking for, he was still going to kill him, after all, he was an Ominous Beast; the enemy of Divine Beasts.

It had been six years since the Divine Beast Dragon God ascended to Desolate Realm and the fact that there exist two kinds of beasts, Divine and Ominous Beast was common knowledge among the beasts.

Divine Beast was like good gods and Ominous Beast was evil or even demonic gods in comparison. Anywhere an Ominous Beast goes, only death and destruction follow.

Moving slowly, breathing deeply as fog escaped his mouth, the hyena claw dug deep into the ground as his muscles trembled faintly before exploding in quick succession.

A black blur appears in front of the black horse and slashes down, causing the air to fuzz and turn black.

The black horse stood up on its hind legs and slammed down with both legs that erupt with equally black light as flames burn the fog from the hyena.

*BOOM*

The attack of both beasts connects and cancels each other out as both of them get pushed back, causing the ground to shake and tremble as the earth shatters.

*BOOM* *Rumble*

Not waiting for the hyena to recover, the black horse uses the force pushing it back and sprang forward, with eyes gleaming with fiery light as fire spews out of his mouth, burning a pathway towards the hyena. The air seem to become nonexistent as the flames burn everything to nothing.

*Sizzle* *Sizzle*

The hyena, while not as agile as the black horse, was able to spew his fog of rot and decay to block the attack; only to get hit by a frightening heat that melted his fog of rot and decay, causing the flames to hit his body.

The hyena while in pain retreated with anger burning in his eyes. He was so angry that the black flames on his body were ignored by him as the fog of rot and decay erupt from his entire body, devouring the flames, turning it to his power. Now he had three abilities: rot, decay, and black destructive flames.

Although it seems what he did was easy and without cost, that was far from the case as he was only able to get one ability every time he improves a realm of strength. He already had attack abilities, what it wanted was defensive or even regeneration abilities, yet he couldn't now which made it even more furious!

Black horse eyes seem to narrow as it witnesses its power being absorbed and transformed into its opponent's power. From this, the horse decides it needs to get serious or it might be wounded severely which wasn't something he wanted. Getting wounded means death, it doesn't matter one's lineages, death comes for the weak in the Beast Realm.

The black horse body erupts with black flames ten times hotter and more destructive than the one before. The flames consume its body before fading away.

As the horse came back to view, what was seen as a horse of the same size, with some changes. On the head of the horse, two large draconic horns that had flames at its tips, huge black dragon wings appeared on his back.

A black horse transformed into a Draconic Horse, a powerful creature that was not weaker than a full-grown dragon when grown to its full potential.

Hyena's eyes widened as he realized this was the creature he was looking for. According to the beasts he had killed along the way, there was a horse who was one of the sons of the Divine Dragon Beast God, who possessed horns of a dragon and wings darker than night.

Thoughts flash through his mind, making him hesitate a little, ' a son of the Beast God, it's impossible for it to be defeated easily, especially since it might have some divine abilities of the Beast God.'

The hyena paused and thought for a moment before turning and running away. It knew it was not the black horse match, especially when he was wounded. Plus, as an Ominous Beast, he wound be weakened when fighting a Divine Beast. Although he ran away, he doesn't believe he couldn't kill the Black Horse, after all, there are many Ominous Beast that could kill the Draconic Horse, one being a Taotie, a ruler amongst the Ominous Beast, just like how dragons were one of the rulers of the Divine Beast.

The Draconic Horse didn't do anything as he could somewhat guess the thought process of the hyena yet he didn't move. He had a flock to protect and spread his bloodline, that was the order his father gave his children and will do it before he enjoys the world.

The Draconic Horse took to the air, flying away at great speed towards the direction of his flock, not realizing many of the beasts around began to follow him. It couldn't help as he had the bloodline of the Beast God, which compels beasts to follow and obey.

The Sovereignty of Man had once again become the superpower of the world. technology wasn't affected by the changes in the world, it was extremely simple for it to advance, especially with new theories and sources of energy that were omnipresent.

Society became odd, as even news of gods and cultivators seemed normal. It was normal to see people flying through the air, normal to see priest and priestess preaching about their gods, and using divine spells to heal the sick.

The age of children became different, a person of fifty was a baby and a person of five hundred an elder. Time seems to change but also not, as everyone became as they were before the world changed, they became content with what they had, not knowing of the dangers to the north or the danger on the seas.

Walking down Capital Street, William Don Free, observe everything around him with an indifferent gaze, as he wonder why humans seem so stupid; don't they realize that dark clouds was covering their fate and destiny?

Even though he was a human as well, the God he worshiped already told him to be prepared and move his family out of the capital; towards a deserted village.

According to his god, he didn't know the name of his god, dark creatures are going to wake up and destroy the peaceful life of humans, even the beasts would be hard pressed to survive unscathed.

The first disaster will be the Disaster of Blood, cities will become cities of death, creatures who rely on the blood of the living will arrive, bringing the end to the peaceful era.

He had tried many times to warn people, politically and as a person who can predict the future but no one understands or believes him. His family was an exception however, as his wife and children and parents packed up and left for the countryside, leaving the center of power in the world.

It was like William was invisible as no matter where he walked, no one seemed to see him; including the clergymen of the gods.

He didn't originally want to do this, but at the rate of progress and development being slowed; he will fulfill his role as the Master of Catastrophe; the one who rules over disasters.

His Lord had given him the power to inject his blood into individuals, causing their body to change and obtain great power at the cost of their humanity. What a person will turn into was random, so even he didn't know the outcome.

His destination was the slums of the capital, the place where the rejects, people who even though had the blessing of becoming cultivators, couldn't projects beyond their base level.

No matter how advanced civilization is, there will always be a clear separation amongst people, and the current Sovereignty of Man was any different. The only difference might just be that if they lived in the past, ancient times, they would have been gods to the unlearned people.

Reaching the place with ease, William looks at the well and ponders if he should pour his blood into it. Many innocent people's lives will be affected, many will die and the Sovereignty of Man would bound to tremble even if it didn't collapse.

Thinking for a moment, he decides it was for the best, only through struggles does one learn the value of life. Many people will mourn this day but many will remember this as the day, master, and powerful beings emerge constantly, stepping up their own legends.

Drip! Drip!

Crimson blood drips silently into the well, changing its content into the Water of Darkness, water that can create darkness creatures.

Simultaneously, all around the world, many scenes were playing out, affecting the world. Ministers and council men's hearts became filled with ambitions, not content with their positions; they wish to be rulers too.

Clergymen began to scheme against the gods, thinking of ways to obtain divinity.

The changes were subtle but far-reaching as the government started to split after, and wars erupt again; nations unlike the old began to emerge in the place of the Sovereignty of Man, each fighting for supremacy. Churches began to change as the clergyman began to change the gods to suit their needs, gods began to become evil and fall from the divine realm, falling deep into a place of darkness which will later be known as the Abyss.

Half of the Divine Realm became black and slowly descended from Desolate Realm to Earth, before falling deeper than Earth, arriving in a dark and ominous place, the Abyss.

Since the Divine Realm split in two, the God Scroll did as well, each part residing in the Divine Realm and the Abyss.

The evil rewards the god's summons fell from the Divine Realm and entered the Abyss, ruling over a layer of the mysterious place, becoming Demon Kings and Devils Kings.

Cults began to rise and worship these Demonic beings, causing many abominations to reside on Earth. Many souls began to rise between both the Divine Realm and the Abyss; if one believes in a God their souls would be brought to that god's territory in the Divine Realm after death, if not, they would be taken by the Demonic beings, becoming Demons and Devils in the process.

In little over a year the world changes and a period which scholars name the Period of Darkness continues.
