Chapter 82 – Oneness

The couple reached Pam's apartment right before dinner. The good thing about flying business class is being relaxed even after a 4 to 6 hours flight. It was a decent apartment near Chinatown where most expats are located. It was smaller than her unit at The Gardens, but it was modern, clean and in a quiet area.

"I don't have anything to eat here. Do you want to grab some food nearby or we can order delivery?" Pam was dragging one of the suitcases in the room, these are items she needs to unpack in Singapore. The other luggage will be brought to Sydney.

"I can have you for dinner." Tim teased her.

Trying to go with the word play. She responded without thinking through the meaning. "Well, I thought you wanted me to fatten up? I cannot have you for dinner."

"Says who? You can also eat me up for dinner."

"Tim!!!!!!" Pam turned red; she could not help but think of the scene of eating him. She has not done this, when he said it casually, she can't help but imagine.

Tim who was leisurely sitting on her bed jumped to embrace her. "You are so red my dear wife! Were you imagining it?" You need to learn how soon!" He laughed so hard as he knows she is too embarrassed.

He released Pam, "I'll fix for coffee or tea."

"I'll do it."

"No fix whatever you have to fix here, it will make me busy to check on your kitchen."

Pam had a Nespresso machine, as a coffee drinker this allowed her to drink fresh coffee every time she wants to. Tim is liking what he sees, the coffee machine is a plus. While brewing for one cup, Tim walked back to the room and ask, "do you want a cup?"

"Nope, I may not be able to sleep well. Let's grab something to eat nearby. There is a nice laksa place. "

"I think you need to have coffee."

"Huh?!"

"it better to be awake later…" Tim then went back to the kitchen without waiting for any response from Pam. He knew she would scold him for being green again, but he still heard her yell.

"OMG! Stop it!"

Tim wandered around the kitchen; all the essentials are available. He opened the fridge and found some jar of jam, cheese, butter, water and milk. Other than that, there is nothing in the fridge, the freezer had nothing but ice cubes.

Tim could very well understand how inconvenient it is to cook for oneself. Sometimes it's not practical however eating out or worst, skipping meals is not good either especially with Pam who is skinnier than usual ladies.

Pam joined him in the kitchen after few minutes. "How is the coffee?"

"The only thing I liked in this kitchen. As expected, your fridge almost has nothing in it."

"I am practically away most of the time."

"When we are together, let's try to get home cooked meals hmm."

Thinking about it, Pam does not know whether to be excited when that time comes or be sad that it will not happen anytime soon, so she came up with an idea, "want to cook something tomorrow?"

"If there is any grocery nearby that is still open let's buy some ingredients." Tim suggested.

Pam sat on Tim's lap, "where is your phone?"

"Why? Are you checking on me?"

"Why can I not do that?"

"You can but we should respect each other's privacy."

"I know! Are you hiding something from me?"

Tim handed over his phone to Pam, he is not hiding anything, but she might read some things she might misinterpret or not like at all. Rather than suspecting him, he handed over his phone.

Pam smiled and took his phone. Tim was observing, he saw Pam keyed-in SG Home and the number and then handed the phone back to him.

"I just keyed in the passcode of the door. You are acting suspicious!" She giggled and continued, "when you have business here in Singapore you can stay here instead of going to hotel. This place is on lease up until next 2 years."

Tim kissed her on her cheeks, "I got it!"

"BUT!"

"But what?"

"You cannot bring anyone else here! And…" she kept it suspended.

"Why? Ddo you think I will bring girls here? Do you think I would cheat?"

"Nope this is our sacred place here in Singapore. No one else is allowed to enter unless we agreed."

"Okay understood and what is the other thing?"

"You need to clean up the place." She then pinched him on his cheeks and gave him a tongue's out.

"You do know I am a clean freak!" He cleans his own condo. He finds her too adorable that he gave her a fiery kiss on the lips. He held the back of her neck to support her forceful kiss. Pam was returning back his kisses and that sets Tim on fire however, he remembered dinner and grocery, so he released her and tried to calm down.

"Let's stop from here otherwise, I may really have you for dinner and you will be of no choice but have me for your dinner too." Tim finished the remaining coffee in one gulp and help Pam stand.

"Okay let's go!'

Pam brought Tim in a small restaurant along the way serving laksa and some other Singaporean dishes. It was simple restaurant, but the food is great. They had a relatively quick dinner and headed towards nearest grocery which is a short taxi ride away.

They are doing grocery together for the first time. They decided to buy a nice cut of beef for steak and some vegetable to go with it. Tim also got some pasta ingredients. They plan to cook whole day tomorrow.

When they reached the cashier, Tim automatically handed over his platinum card, but Pam stopped him.

"I am paying! We are in Singapore"

"What is this? I am the guy here. Aren't you supposed to ask for monthly allowance from me?"

"Do you think I am after for your money? "

"No but I cannot let you pay for daily expenses."

"I plan to ask for money for shopping not for daily expenses." Pam said this in joking manner but, she thinks money should not be an issue between them.

"I will give you money for shopping and daily expenses then."

"So sweet. It's not like I need a lot Tim. I will ask you money if need it. Let me pay for this just now please hmmm." Pam even kissed him to get his nudge of approval.

"Okay just for now. I think we should have a joint account or maybe I'll give you one of the cards I have. Keep it with you. I should be providing for the two of us."

Even if Pam does not need it, with the though that goes along with the idea, she is really feeling the 'oneness' with Tim.
