Chapter 30. Staycation

ALAM ni Nicolea na maraming katanungan si Jave pero tahimik lang ito habang maingat siyang hinihilamusan. Sa bawat dampi ng basang bimpo ay parang lalo lang nitong bunubuhay ang dugo niya gaya nang nangyari kani-kanina lang.

"Aren't you going to ask me some questions?"

"You should take a rest first."

Napakagat-labi siya. "Nagpa-doktor kasi ako para masikip ulit." She tried to sound so casual. Shit. Lalagpas na ako sa impyerno dahil sa mga kasinungalingan ko sa buhay.

"Why did you have to do that? Did your ex obligate you?"

"Ex, huh?"

"Bakit? Hindi mo pa ba siya tinuturing na ex? Do you still think he's your fiancé?"

Wala namang kami ni Hugh. Gusto niyang isatinig.

"Kalimutan mo na siya, Nic. Nandito ako. Kaya kong punan ang lahat ng pangangailangan mo, ninyo ng magiging anak natin."

"Natin?" Hindi niya mapigilang mangiti.

"Natin."

She sweetly smiled at him while he kept on cleaning her body. Honestly, she didn't deserve a man like him. Paano kung totoong nabuntis nga siya't aakuin nito ang bata? Paano kung totoong engaged siya at nagtanan sila? Na parang makukuntento itong maging kabit niya kung sakali? Her heart clenched and didn't have the heart to think of him that way. Jave deserved more than being a "kabit".

One of these days, she'd tell him the truth. She would be quitting her job as a secret agent as well.

Him, making love with her made her realize lots of things. That she wanted to be with him. That she wanted more of him. Napalunok siya.

"What are you thinking?" Tumigil ito sa ginagawa.

"Gusto ko pa," nakangusong sambit niya. She didn't know that sex was good. If only she knew, she should had had given herself in to him the moment she turned eighteen.

He chuckled loudly. "You are still sore, baby. Bukas na lang."

"Pero mamamasyal pa tayo bukas. Ngayon na," katwiran niya. Dalawang araw naman silang mamamalagi roon, pero isang gabi lang. At kung mamamasyal sila bukas, paniguradong pagod na siya pagkabalik sa suite.

"Tomorrow at night, I won't let you sleep."

"Paano kung mapagod ako sa pamamasyal?"

"We can do it the other day."

"Ngayon na kasi..." pamimilit niya. Bumiling siya't tumagilid dito.

He was chuckling when he kissed her temple. "Was it really good?"

"It was ecstatic. Ang dami mo na sigurong naikama para maging ganoon kagaling." Sasaktan mo rin ang sarili mo, eh, 'no?

"I never had sex for so long."

"Pero mayroon..."

Tumikhim ito. "When we broke up..."

"'Kita mo na!"

"What could I do? I was broken and that was my way of coping up."

Bumusangot siya.

"But only for months. When I realized I'll just come back and court you again, I stopped womanizing and just focused on my trainings and service."

Wala sa sariling tumango siya. Humiga naman ito at niyakap siya ng mahigpit.

"Let's not think about the past anymore. Kalimutan na natin."

Agad siyang umiling at nag-angat ng tingin dito.

"Why? Do you still have feelings—"

"I don't want to forget about us."

Natigilan ito at nakuha ang gusto niyang sabihin. He then smiled, really contended on her answer.

"Then, just think about our beautiful memories."

"Fuck me first."

"Damn, your words..."

"Why? Hmm... Dapat pala binili na natin iyong condom, 'no? I want to feel it. I think I'll die out of curiosity." Lalo na ngayong may experience na siya.

"We will buy tomorrow. But for now..." Sinadya nitong binitin ang sasabihin. Tumalikod naman siya nang igiya siya nito. His calloused hands started traveling on her upper body.

She immediately moaned, feeling the intensity of his gentle touches.

"Matulog na tayo. Roon ka na sa kama mo," agap niya.

"You think I will sleep on a different bed from now on?" Hinawak-hawakan nito ang suot niyang singsing pero hindi ito nagtanong tungkol doon. It was obvious why she was still wearing that ring he'd given her before. Because she still had the same feelings for him.

She licked her lips. "Ikaw ang bahala."

"Aren't you uncomfortable?"

"Hindi naman. Bakit?"

"I was thinking you didn't want me on your bed. That's why I slept on the other room."

"Okay lang naman. Hindi ako maselan." Hindi man lang siya tumanggi. Marupok talaga siya pagdating dito, eh.

Pakiramdam niya ay ngumisi ito. Hindi siya nagkamali nang pagkaharap niya rito ay malapad nga itong nakangisi.

"Why?"

"You were always uncomfortable having someone on your bed. Sinisipa mo lagi ako sa tuwing may pagkakataong natutulog tayo sa iisang kama."

Nagulat siya. She honestly didn't know about that.

"Malikot kang matulog."

"Kaya ba ayaw mo na akong makatabi?"

"No. Kahit mabugbog mo pa ako, tatabi at tatabi ako sa iyo. Hindi lang ako tumabi sa iyo ngayon baka makasama kay baby kapag nainis kita."

Hindi niya mapigilang matawa. "Sorry, hindi ko alam iyon." Hindi na pinansin ang huling sinabi nito.

Now, she got it, why her partner, an actress and a vlogger, never wanted to share a bed with her whenever they're on a stakeout. Malikot nga pala siyang matulog.

"Gusto mo pa bang mag-extend ng stay?" she asked him on the fourth night, while they were swimming on the clubhouse pool.

"Ikaw ba?"

"I think let's just go back to Cebu. Parang gusto kong subukan iyong kama ko."

"You're becoming a naughty girl, Nic."

"Kasalanan mo," natatawang untag niya. "Seriously, para makatipid tayo. May matutuluyan naman tayo roon, samantalang dito, ang mahal ng bayad sa hotel."

Ngumisi ito. "You always say it's expensive yet you are the one who spends money the most."

Guilty. Magastos siya noon pa man. Kahit nagrereklamo siyang mahal, ang totoo'y hindi naman talaga niya inaalala ang presyo. Especially if it's worth every cents that she was spending.
