Chapter 34: Christmas

December arrived at Hogwarts and it was freezing cold some students had to be sent to Madam Pomfrey because the of the cold they were giving pepper-up potion to help the students who had to drink the potion was left steaming from the ears and nose for up to an hour luckily for Edwin he didn't have to take the potion but Yasbel and Theodore did and he took a picture of them steaming from the ears.

With Christmas coming near Edwin had a choice to make should he stay and learn from Tom or go home and spend time with his family, it took Edwin a while before deciding to go home and spend time with his family Edwin would take Tom's diary with him to avoid someone else taking it while he is away.

Tom wanted Edwin to stay and start 'cleaning' the school during the Holidays but Edwin convinced Tom to wait till the new year when he couldn't be suspected Tom reluctantly agreed and kept teaching him about Hogwart's main subject and was getting impatient.

Edwin had to find a way to get Tom to teach him more and not want him to kill the muggle-born students in the school but he couldn't find a way to get both so he had just settled for one and chose to get the main information out of Tom before he would ask Edwin to kill again.

The night before the train arrives Edwin sneaked out of his room hoping that Tom wouldn't know he headed to the potion classroom to search for the half-blood prince notebook finding the book would help Edwin in the future as he searched through the potion room he couldn't find the book anywhere near Snape desk.

After checking the cupboard Edwin found Snape's old book and read through it fast and found the Sectumsempra spell and wrote down the instruction on how to use the spell Edwin didn't take the book due to thinking Snape might notice it missing.

Edwin needed to learn Sectumsempara to deal with problems in the future as Edwin was about to leave he saw Snape entering his office and later walked out with a bottle of fire whiskey Snape looked terrible his normal greasy hair was greasy and neatly comb but was in a mess and he wasn't walking too straight caring the whiskey in his hand Snape took a big gulp and continue walking to his room.

The night passed and Edwin left Hogwarts with Yasbel they both decided to visit Diagon alley before Christmas so they can buy presents for their family and friends As the two arrived at Diagon alley they each checked out shops and bought presents for everyone.

As the two were about to leave Edwin forgot to get a present for someone he went back and bought a photo album for Hagrid he wanted to give Hagrid something as a sorry for pelting him with pumpkins.

When the two reached home they saw Wendy decorating as they couldn't use magic they had to use their hands to help when they finished it was already nigh, Christmas eve Edwin went shopping to give some of his friends some muggle presents he knew it was a risk but he decided to take it.

Edwin went to an Electronics store and purchased four Walkman with some disk that already contains music and an empty on to make some copies of the rooster's crow for insurance purposes Edwin didn't trust Tom one bit he was one of the two stable parts of Voldemort soul the only other stable part was Voldemort himself.

He is also the first Horcrux Voldemort ever made but unlike the other Horcrux, Tom has a conscious mind which made him the second most dangerous part of Voldemort soul even separated they possess the same goal at heart.

Later that night Edwin sent out Night to make delivery to his friends in each package Edwin had wrote a letter saying he can't charm them due to the Law, The taught of using the vanishing cabinet to enter Hogwarts charm the Walkmans and then leave came across Edwin's mind but he quickly got the taught out of his head Edwin didn't want to give Tom an escape path when thing go south.

Christmas morning had arrived and Edwin received presents for Theodore, Draco, and the Twins, Theodore had given Edwin a potion book that the school didn't have, Draco gives him an Alchemy book and from the twins, he revived an exploding present that dye his face red and white and a hand-knitted green sweater with a grey stripe that had a big E stitched on.

During the day the Vaclav family spend the time watching movies and eating Doc didn't visit Wendy that year but he and their uncle John called wishing everyone Merry Christmas, the family took out a picture using a magic camera.

when the night came and everyone was watching movies Edwin sneaked away with Tom's diary and wrote " Merry Christmas Tom

" Merry Christmas... what is it you want "

" I just out you a present " Edwin said putting a Black book cover on the diary " Now you don't look so old "

" Thank you very much it's a lovely present... but I didn't get you anything maybe there is something you want ?"

" Now that you mention it how can I open the chamber of secrets and I don't know Parseltongue "

" you want to learn Parseltongue ?" Tom Wrote "That is impossible only decedents of Salazar has that ability a mud-blood like you cannot learn that! "

" No need to be angry I just wanna learn how to open it and help, " Edwin wrote

" fine but even so a filthy mud-blood learning Parseltongue," Tom wrote " it should never happen but for the purity of the school it will... but remember you may learn some words but that doesn't mean you can speak it "
