Iron in the Woods

"You do know we have lessons soon right?" Arthur chuckled as Ruby lay atop him, a goofy smile on her face as she played with the ring on Arthur's hand.

"Mhm! But I don't care" she quickly answered locking her fingers with Arthur's, "I am so happy right now I don't think I'd even be able to focus during them"

"You focus during lessons?" Arthur snorted, turning Ruby's face red.

"Yes I do!" She sat up, straddling Arthur and sending the blanket off them, revealing Ruby wearing nothing but an unbuttoned white shirt and her black rose patterned panties. Her hands softly beating against Arthur's chest, "I'm not that bad! It's just professor Port is just really, really… meh" she muttered, already feeling a wave of exhaustion overcoming herself just imagining herself listening to another of Port's random stories.

"Well, you'll be glad to know we don't have Port today then" he said raising his own body and wrapping an arm around Ruby's hip while she threw her arms around his neck.

"I know, we haven't had him on Fridays since we started" she said giving Arthur a quick peck on the lips.

"No but really Ruby, we've gotta go, I've also got things going on after class today, and I'm pretty sure your team won't be the happiest that you stayed here" he said, getting a small sad sigh from Ruby before she quickly reverted to her usual happy go lucky attitude and quickly hopped off him, quickly grabbing her lost clothing from the ground and running to the bathroom for a quick shower, stopping in the doorway to look back to Arthur, "You can join me if you want" her tone becoming more alluring as she said it.

Chuckling Arthur waved his hand to tell her to go ahead to which Ruby let out a 'Humph!' and pulled down her eyelid and stuck her tongue out before quickly closing the door behind her, the sound of the shower running soon coming from the bathroom.

Once the door had shut Arthur fell back onto the headrest of his couch, staring at the ceiling his mind blank after the night he'd just had with Ruby.

"Well well well, seems someone's finally graduated from their V card", Arthur's Tome levitated in front of his face revealing Ashe staring down at him a giant grin on her face that spanned from ear to ear, a strange sparkle in her eyes.

Groaning Arthur remembered a certain thing about his Tome, "You saw everything didn't you…"

"Oh, you know it" Ashe laughed, "And my, I have got to give it to you amazing performance, I couldn't have done better myself" she began to clap, "Not that I have the tools for it…" her voice trailed off.

"Please, never show anyone that" Arthur asked, worried that his mischievous book inhabitant and bride would.

"Oh, I'd never! This goes into my… uh… 'Collection'" she began to whistle as the image froze for a second, "Ah goddammit, not again" she complained.

"What was that?" Arthur asked, worried at the strange lag that he'd never expect from a floating book.

"Nothing, nothing, I was messing with stuff and I probably deleted a semicolon somewhere" she grumbled as glasses appeared on her face as she began to type something into a screen that Arthur couldn't see.

"The book, uses computer coding? Really?" Arthur was dumbstruck by the revelation.

"Huh? Oh, no, I just write stuff down and the Tome automatically figures stuff out, then I get to test it for a bit, fix any bugs add a bit more delete stuff there, and I may have messed with something in the 'In Memoriam' chapter that causing a stutter every now and then, I really wish this thing had an undo function…" her eyes widened for a moment as the screen froze again "Oh, never mind there it is, fixed" the screen turned black for nearly five seconds before reappearing with an annoyed Ashe on the screen.

"You know, I really hate coding, because that is essentially what this is, bloody book keeps bloody breaking because I accidentally delete an i…" she grumbled as Arthur began to heartily laugh at her expense.

"Yes yes, laugh" she rolled her eyes and waited for Arthur to calm down, "Done?" she asked getting a quick nod from Arthur, "Thank you, anyways, thought I might as well tell you why you haven't been getting any quests for a while now" she said.

"Oh yeah, I noticed that, I haven't gotten any since I got the grimm egg"

"Yeah, that was, uh, also my fault" she poked her fingers together, "I sort of deleted half the writing for creating new quests when I was messing with stuff and I've been trying to undo everything, I think I got everything back in place, so just give me a second, you should get a quest for the centipede from Wednesday, I couldn't find anything from before that so you'll have to live with this then" she pressed a button on her keyboard or at least that's what Arthur assumed.

"A… chain quest?" Arthur mumbled as he read through his new quest list, "So it's called an Ōmukade then? An what is Ōmukadite?" he questioned as he pulled out an ingot of nearly pure white metal apart from the faint black lines running throughout the ingot.

"Huh, surprisingly light" he mumbled easily throwing the ingot into the air, "Never heard of it, but im guessing it's what the centipedes armour was made of" he mumbled to himself, "I can use this, I really need to get my own weapon now, I've been putting it off for too long now" he muttered and pushed himself, walking over to his drawers to get dressed, whilst placing the ore on his workbench for future use.

"Ruby! Either you let me in or I break the door down!" Arthur heard Yang shouting from behind his door along with nearly ground shaking banging from his door.

"Stop! Stop! I am not explaining why my door was broken down!" Arthur quickly dashed to his door opening it in hopes that the hinges wouldn't break off from the wall at Yang's punches.

"She's in the shower" Arthur quickly said as he opened the door to Yang who quickly grabbed his collar and pulled him towards herself, her lips quickly interlocking with his and her tongue soon invading his mouth, causing Arthur's eyes to widen in surprise.

"I am really tired of being left out" she mumbled pushing a still confused Arthur backwards and into his room, "Do you know that the walls are really thin?" she asked taking a step towards him, "Our room stinks because of you now, I could even smell it in the hallway! I could barely even get any sleep last night! Look at my hair!" she screamed turning her head slightly to him showing a strand of hair had curved up on her head.

"My hair has bent! I don't even know how it happened! But it's your fault! I need my beauty sleep to keep these golden locks spotless! And you ruined it!" she berated taking another step towards Arthur.

"Yang is that you?" Ruby shouted from the bathroom.

"Yeah! I've got a fresh set of clothes for you, god knows you need them judging by this mess!" she responded looking at the various garments of clothing dotting the floor.

"Wha!? I thought I got everything!?" Ruby squeaked immediately bolting out the bathroom wrapped in a towel, soon getting a fresh uniform thrown against her face along with the other necessities.

"Thanks" Ruby quickly ran back and changed, coming out with a slightly red face.

"And what do you have to say for yourself missus?" Yang asked her hands on her hips and a large smirk on her face.

"Oh, come now, you've gotta tell me everything Rubes, your my sister, and you abandoned your team to sleep with your boyfriend" she whispered into her ear causing Ruby's blush to get even brighter as Yang threw her arm over Ruby's shoulder and began to walk her to the door, stopping just before she exited to turn back to Arthur and say, "One day, Arthur, one day" before walking out the door leaving Arthur standing dumbstruck in the middle of his room.

"You know, I really wish I could just give you a title whenever I felt like it, I mean, come on, 'Casanova'" Ashe waved her hand through the air where the word took shape, Arthur barely even reacting to her.

"You know, I'm getting real tired of this but, the hell just happened?" he muttered, his ears perking up as he heard a loud whir coming from outside attracting his attention as he walked over to his window where he saw a large airship with six spike like wings attached to the back of it, the ship having a particularly angular appearance to it.

Seeing this Arthur's eyes widened in horror, "Oh, fuck me" he cried, seeing the familiar airship of the Atlesian military hovering just outside of Beacon, slowly lowering to the ground in the process.

"Wonder why an Atlesian airship is doing here?" Yang said staring up to the large airship which had landed in one of the open fields surrounding Beacon, the ship being much to large to fit into the airdock.

"Nothing good…" Arthur mumbled to himself as he watched the large figure of Jame Ironwood step off the ship followed by Weiss's sister Winter as well as another man next to her who was wearing an advanced looking set of silver armour with along with a dark blue cloak hanging from their hip.

"Why do you say? They are only here to help, I read that they were coming to Vale a few days ago to assist with the grimm overpopulation around Vale" Weiss quickly explained as she walked over next to him, her eyes focused on her scroll seemingly uninterested by the giant airship lingering just outside of Beacon.

"I'm sure they are…" he mumbled watching as Iron spun around to the ship as numerous Atlesian soldiers and their robot knights poured out of it each forming up into small regiments of ten soldiers and two knights per. With a total of ten regiments being formed.

"Alright! You know your duties! Regiments one through four take the east! Regiments five through eight begin on the west and nine through ten are to begin setting up defences on the north side of the forest so that we may prevent further grimm overpopulation scenarios in the future!" Iron wood began to order the numerous soldiers, "Am I understood!?"

"YES GENERAL!"

"Good! Now I don't want to be going around giving condolences so you all better return in one piece! Am I understood!?"

"YES GENERAL!"

"Then get to work! All regiments are to rendezvous here at twenty two hundred and begin their reports! Dismissed!" he shouted and the miniature army gave a warcry before marching off into the emerald forest.

"Specialist Schnee…" Ironwood said, his words immediately perking Weiss up from her scroll a bright smile on her face as she looked to her sister who was standing as straight as a pole, hands behind her back "You are to join professor Goodwitch in the combat hall and shall be assisting with evaluating and providing your own teaching to the future generations"

"Understood General" Winter remained standing in place, her face seemingly devoid of any emotion but scowls.

"Specialist Shale" Ironwood turned to the heavily armoured man, "There have been reports of a Dustling appearing in the forests and mountains around Vale, you are to track it, analyse it's threat level and report back to me, avoid contact until all forces have been rallied to mount an assault"

"On it" the armoured man named Shale said, quickly marching off into the Emerald Forest, his attitude to Ironwood causing Winter to scowl even more due to his blatant disrespect to the General.

As Shale got closer to the Forest numerous crashes and crunches could be heard as Atlesian soldiers began to fly out of the forest in the direction of the airship, soon followed by the many different body parts of the Atlesian Knight Robots.

Yet, specialist Shale did not seem to care as he kept walking off into the forest without batting a figurative eyelid to the surrounding soldiers, soon dissapearing into the forest as another figure appeared in the shadows of the tree.

Winter quickly brought out her rapier and posed herself for combat against whatever had attacked the regiment.

"Specialist Schnee, deal with it, I have a meeting with Ozpin, dismissed" Ironwood ordered and began walking into Beacon, the students all opening up like a split ocean for him.

The figure who had destroyed the regiment soon came stumbling through the bushes in the forest, nearly falling over as he tripped over a root.

"Uncle Qrow?" Ruby muttered in confusion when she saw her uncle, "Why was he in the forest?" she questioned.

"How about why's he at Beacon? I thought he was supposed to be in Mistral" Yang added.

It was indeed Qrow who was now standing across the field from Winter, holding his leg up and staring at the bottom of his shoe, hopping on one foot to keep himself balanced before letting his foot return to the ground.

"Sorry, thought I stepped on some Grimm shit back there, nah, turns out it was just some idiots oversized action figures" he said picking up a finger of one of the robots, holding it up to his nose before pretending to throw up. "No… that's definitely Grimm shit" throwing it towards Winter who simply knocked it out of the air with her rapier
