Chapter 9

"Naofumi Iwatani, you are a complete fiend! I knew that you were up to no good the moment you set foot into this kingdom. Nay, the moment you stepped into this world!"[Aultcray]

His words made me angry, I mean I didn't choose to be summoned yet you summoned me anyways without any signs or questions. And now you call me a fiend, what have I exactly done except for training, eating, sleeping, also buying and selling.

Yet he didn't give me any time to retort as he continued "Not only did you plot a rebellion, you also attempted to assassinate the sword hero!"

...Alright I'll ignore the rebellion part for now and as for assassination, have you heard that one would just leave his target with just a bump on his head?

Not minding the retort that I have the king continued again "And not only that you also raped the companion of another hero!"

'...Alright this has a bit out of line.' As I have that thought I gazed upon him with a look of contempt and finally opened my mouth and said "Are you done stupid king? Because if your done giving your lame excuses, I'm going to give you my thoughts."

After I finished speaking everyone in the hall seemed furious and one of the guards that surrounded me hit my head with the but of his spear as he yelled "HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO THE KING LIKE THAT!" before he stopped abruptly with mouth agape as he saw the part of spear that hit me was bent and no bruise whatsoever can be seen on me, never mind me being wounded.

Paying no heed to their reactions I continued "Now then you said about me planning a rebellion, the way I see it your just throwing a tantrum about your soldiers being beaten by the tenants of an inn, and as for me assassinating Ren, aren't you an imaginative one? Although my teacher DID knock Ren out besides a lump on his head he didn't suffer any other injuries. And as for raping someone else, I won't even bother responding to that."

After I finished speaking the room was quiet before Motoyasu jumped to the front wearing a righteous expression and yelled "You bastard, you won't respond to the accusation of rape because of your guilt, which means you admit your crime!"

As I heard him I gave him an over exaggerated loud sigh and I pointed him a look of 'Is this guy an idiot?' before checking the room's other occupants. The stupid king is still on his throne with his fist balled with anger, while the guards were practically ready to jump at any moment. Ren was having a contemplative look, while Itsuki was having a deviant look on his face and the rest of the heroes companions (except for Myne) were smoldering with rage apparently.

Myne ran to Motoyasu the moment he finished speaking with tears dropping from her eyes and with a shaky voice she said "Motoyasu-sama that man, no that fiend defiled me and spoke that he would do things that would make people chill to the core of their own souls."

Seeing that I sighed again, because of the smoldering fire that I see in Motoyasu's and Itsuki's eyes. But thankfully(for my sanity) Ren seemed to be still wavering. At least not all the heroes are idiots.

The stupid king gave a decree after Myne's act "I've had enough of your lies shield demon! From now on what you have done will be known to all the citizens. I may be graceful enough to not execute you, however you are to live with the shame of betraying the kingdom who summoned you!"

Hearing what he said made me laugh out loud, I mean shame? Shame of being summoned by the kingdom that has an idiot king, yes I'm ashamed of that, in fact I'm very ashamed I want to hide myself away in a deep dark place for a while.

Hearing me laugh the guards surrounding me are all furious at my conduct, but didn't dare to do anything remembering what happened to the spear that was used to hit me.

The other's reaction were amusing to say the least, Motoyasu kept on and on spewing self-righteous words along with Itsuki, meanwhile Ren is standing on the side with a resolute look on his face. While the adventurers (except for Ren's comrades) were clamouring supporting their respective heroes. The king remains silent with anger on his throne, the soldiers just kept their anger to themselves and stayed silent.

After a while 'Myne' revealed her true identity as the kingdom's first princess, her name is Malty S. Melromarc. And after that of course Motoyasu and Itsuki intensified their self-righteous arguments and rounds of accusations, also their companions and the guards joined in adding the chaos.

As for my reaction? Aside from a raised eyebrow I made no other moves. Though honestly my ear is getting tired to hearing their 'rabble' of accusations and yelling, really what I would do for earplugs at this moment.

After a while of them yelling at me I eventually got bored and sleepy. It caused me to let out a yawn which angered them and after they let out another round of yelling they finally hauled me out of the throne room, after they searched me for anything worth money. But honestly after learning the inventory function of the shield, why wouldn't I put everything in there except for the clothes I'm wearing.

After inspecting me for an hour and yet finding nothing worth of value they finally threw me out of the gate, or at least they tried because the best that they could do was push me out the gates because of my strangely increasing weight. Actually I'm just using the equip function the shield provided to equip my training weights, I first found the equip function because of me seeing Gudako making her equipment vanish and appears all the time. And then I thought 'Why couldn't I do it?' after that I tried on a whim and voila my shirt was gone and the next moment I noticed I was on the ground having countless bruises inflicted on me in a single moment, and facing me was a lady with pink hair and fox ears on her head also she has fox tails. She glared at me and angrily said "How dare you show my Husband-sama your bare body when she hasn't even seen mine! As I thought you are indeed a pervert, and perverts deserve to be erased! Oh, except for my Husand-sama of course." After that she chased me while beating the crap out of me until the sun set, and even so she reluctantly stopped because of Gudako convincing her to. But after that I always get the feeling that I'm being watched by an animal whenever I'm around Gudako.

After leaving the castle I made my way to the city's gate, while I was on my way I met Erhard he was going to punch me in the face for the accusations the stupid king put on me but stopped after my strong denial and seeing my angry gaze he told me to wait while he went to his shop, but I walked ignoring his words and suddenly when I was walking something hit me on the shoulder I quickly catch it before it hit the ground and when I look to see who threw it I saw Erhard there a little angry that I didn't listen to him but he said that the bag was filled with items that were on clearance and left but when I checked the contents I clicked my tongue "What clearance items? these are clearly new items worth a few silver coins, he's just that kind isn't he?"

After that I continued my walk to outside the castle with the bag on my shoulder and wearing a cape and I accidentally passed a store that has mirrors and saw my reflection which surprised me because of the changes to my appearance, mainly my eyes and aura they became sinister and evil-looking worthy of one being called a villian.

...Which could be another reason why everyone is avoiding me besides my 'crimes' that were anounced. Anyways after I made it to the fields I started punching the balloons there, but after a while I noticed one important fact "IT'S TOO INEFFICIENT!!!" I suddenly let out a yell because of my frustration to the stupid king and the other 2 heroes.

After yelling I stood still for a while taking some deep breaths to calm myself. Once calm I'm surprised at the balloons that were on my body trying it's best to bite me, not because I didn't feel anything but because of their tenacity but at my high defence. I mean I could've guessed when the guard hit me with his spear and resulted in it bending and me with no bruise, truth be told it only felt like a light tap compared to Gudako's punches, no wait they don't even compare.

After going through those thoughts I left alone the balloons that are trying it's best to bite me, who knows whether it'll be useful as an intimidation tactic. And I started to try finding some medicinal herbs and harvesting them, while using the shield that was unlocked by the herbs themselves the 'Leaf Shield' which like it's name looks precisely like a heart shaped leaf with a jewel in the middle... alright I'll admit the name sounds lame, but it raises my collection skill which helps me in gathering the herbs.

After gathering a number of the herbs I entered the city with the cloak covering the balloons that are biting me. After finding a vendor to sell the materials to, the shopkeeper inspected the materials were of high quality, which is rare seen and can sell for at least double the ordinary price. But after that he 'mentioned' about a shield demon while looking at my shield and smiling maliciously, I could instantly guess what he was thinking of. But I countered "Would it be wise to offend a demon?" while smiling evilly and 'accidentally' raising my cloak just enough to see at least 3 balloons that are biting me.

After seeing the spectacle he paled and laughed nervously and said that it wouldn't be a good idea to offend a demon, after that he offered that he would buy the balloon materials and the herbs at the normal price. I had no qualms about the monster materials but I can't accept the herbs which is clearly high in quality to be bought at a normal one's price, so I 'negotiated' with the shopkeeper to buy it at a fair price.

After the little interlude I went to a nearby restaurant and bought the cheapest meal to conserve on my money. Besides it's not like I expect any of the meals they can produce can match up to Gudako's. After waiting a while the waiter quickly brought my meal and left quickly without any chance of me speaking anything to him, discontented at everyone's fearful and disgusted attitude I instead focused on my meal.
