An hour before the incident,
The hotel had been emptied in the early morning. Despite its high demand for customers, the particular day or that afternoon, no one could enter. Yet when no one could enter, Han XiGuang had lost his one and only son.
The culprit knelt before him. Not the culprit who is tasked for bringing his son away but the culprit who had caused the matter to be complicated.
Han XiGuang didn't bother sitting. He left with his coat at once after learning his son had left. The man who he had one sidedly named as the culprit followed him eight steps, "But Cousin, I really don't meant to do this! I am extremely shocked too, okay? I lost my nephew!"
"It is better if you stay quiet your entire life, You Jing." Han XiGuang demanded silence from his cousin. "If you can't I swear I will find you one way to shut your forever."
You Jing looked as if he couldn't read the room, digging his own grave by asking , "How?"
Han XiGuang stopped his heels, his deep silverish eyes stared at his cousin who was less taller than him by an inch with a feral glare.
Han YouJing gulped while staring back at his older cousin. The man was undeniably handsome, so handsome that even Han YouJing admired or sometimes envied him.
Hair smooth and silky brown, let loose over his forehead but not enough to cover his eyebrows. His hair was on the length of his neck and half of it had been tied. Apart from his noted sharp jaw that had Han YouJing to sometimes make comparison with diamond cuts, his sun-kissed skin that wasn't too dark but wasn't light either, he was a man with a wild charm. This charm of his had caused many women turned, some persistent with their way of seducing him only to fail miserably and met their consequences.
It was hardly unbelievably for him to be a father of a seven year old son. Not to mention, he was the Heir to the Han Corporation fortune. With his father retiring seven years ago, he had taken the position of the next head of the company.
While in the surface Han XiGuang was a man who was born with the luck, looks, and wealth. There was one more dark secret in him which he operated in his bodyguarding business which was the reason why some of the hotel staff who sees him froze as he passed by. Most employees remember the unspeakable incident that causes the lobby to be drenched with blood but that story was kept only within the hotel.
Han XiGuang frowned while looking at Han YouJing. His unbearably chilling gaze sent his cousin to shudder. Even though You Jing was sure he wasn't going to be killed he could feel that soon he might met his demise in an hour.
"I am upset as well, you know. I don't expect Rui to suddenly disappear! He is my adorable, very very adorable cousin baby. I only took him outside because you never let him to—"
Han XiGuang glared once to put his cousin to shut his mind. "If anything is to happen to him. You won't be answering God, You Jing. You will be facing me. Now find him before I skin you alive for losing my son!" Threatened Han XiGuang his ocean-waves-rough voice was low and dreadful. The single warning was enough to speak volume of anger that he currently felt.
You Jing wiped off the cold sweats drenching his forehead. The cold icy aura emitted from Han XiGuang diffuse toward him, sending down deep chill all the way down to his spine.
He felt his knees nearly flop down to the cold floor from how frightening his cousin was. His body that was a blazing hot from running desperately a moment ago now turns cold in an instant, the sweats on his forehead fall down to the ground like a sharp ice drops.
"Calm down. I didn't come here empty handed," convinced You Jing.
"I have found Xiao Rui's whereabout, so would you please stop ordering your black ops for this, alright? They're too eye-catching! People in the streets will think that there are some kind of mutant monster on the street!"
There are two types of people when they speak in fear: One, they would be frightened to death to the point where they could not speak and the other one would be speaking until his death.
And as for Han You Jing, he would be deemed as the second one-
"Where is he?" Han XiGuang pushed aside You Jing's noisy blabbers. HIS cold eyes remain unchanging. His whisper-like voice that would linger in the ears of the person who heard his alluring voice but can also haunt them in their afterlife.
"Our very super-duper-ultra adorable Xiao Rui was spot on the 19th streets beside the famous firm law, Golden Law. An-"
"We're going," Han XiGuang ignored You Jing's words, making his way outside the hotel.
"Wait!! Do you know where 19th street is? Hey!! Don't you need a map? Cousin Xi Guang!" Han You Jing followed Han Xi Guang's fast steps with a dash. To salvage his mistake, You Jing knew he had to participate in finding Rui as much as he could unless he wanted to die.
Han XiGuang entered his car, speaking without looking at You Jing, "I don't need it."
"Hey! Hey!" You Jing ruffled his hair as he was too late. Now, he can only pray to any God above the sky that Rui, his dearest nephew wouldn't get so much as even a scratch unless he wanted to see his uncle's body found in the news under the ocean like Titanic.
Han XiGuang disregarded everything and hasted to find his son. He wouldn't allow a single thread of his son's hair to be hurt and if that happened, he would made sure to kill the assailant in the most painful way possible.
In less than a minute after Han Xi Guang arrived at the building of Golden Law, men in a pitch-black suit and pair of sunglasses surround the zone of Golden Law while blending in with their surroundings.
A 'buzz' came before his subordinates' steady report.
"A-1 here. Target found. A man approximately 172 centimeters."
"A-2 here. The target is found in front of the entrance. Trailing behind the young master."
"A-3 here. The roof is clear. Target has been locked ready to commence the attack as ordered."
"A-4 here. Ready to evacuate the young master and protect the civilians."
Right after the reports of his subordinates, Han Xi Guang's cold eyes turn murderous as he spots the suspicious figure trailing behind his son.
It was then when he spotted Rui, alone and in fear talking to a woman taller than her. Han XiGuang's frown turn severe. He knew that kidnappers aren't only men but to think a woman was now working to hurt his child. Despite that, he still stand to punish the kidnappers severely for what they have done.
But what he saw after shocked him.
Rui didn't run away from the woman as he had reprimanded his son to. Instead, he was carried by the woman who then whispered something to his ears. Rui nodded and once the woman let him down to the floor, the small boy rushes inside the room.
Han XiGuang quickly looked behind the woman, finally noticing the true kidnapper. It finally comes to his mind that he was wrong!
The suspicious man pulled out his knife once realizing the woman was protecting Rui. Han XiGuang didn't let his guard down and his chilling voice slipped out from his lips. "Shoot him." He ordered for his men who was on the top of the building to open fire.
But it appears as though the woman was more than capable to protect herself. Before his men could kill the kidnapper by shooting his head, Wu SuYi had performed a clean self-defense art, submitting the kidnapper to the ground without injuring herself or letting the man injure Rui.
Han XiGuang watched her from afar, walking nearer and finally saw her face only when she lifted her head and push her hair to the back of her head.
His heart quickly beats at a fast pace from an exquisite sight that took his breaths away in that moment.
Wu SuYi's sharp and righteous eyes, her triumphant smile as she watched the kidnapper struggling on the floor and how that cunning smile of hers turn into a gentle smile when Rui had run toward her, everything about her mesmerized Han XiGuang, making him feel as though he was swept by a gust of wind— only this wind was far more beautiful than any wind he could ever feel in this world.
He couldn't tear his eyes away from her, his focus nailed onto her.
Han Xi Guang lowers his hand that settled on the side of his waist where his gun was located and looks at Wu SuYi, still mesmerized by her. The corner of his lips softly smoothens into a grin.
"Found her." He mumbled.
