The call went on for a short time before Ethan finally bid his farewell.

"I'm near my destination so, I have to hang up now." With great reluctance, Ethan Lu uttered. On the line, Lexi didn't immediately respond as she tried to absorb Ethan's obvious lies.

"Uh… alright." With that said piece, the call was cut short.

Heaving a sigh of relief, Ethan put down his phone as he patted his chest to calm his racing heart. After his unplanned consultation with his dear friend Chris Yu, Ethan had to treat the matter with great importance.

Hence, he recalled all the past scenarios with Lexi; her smiling face, her usual snob front, the fact that she was full of surprises, and how she made him feel content with just being with her -- Ethan could not help but scream inwardly.
