Chapter Eight: The Last Two Weeks

After Liam finished talking to Ember he walks back up the stairs and sees Ollivander and Largras talking to each other. As Liam passes the last step the door begins to close behind him. Hearing the noise Ollivander turns his head to see Liam and sees he is carrying a sword. " I see you found a weapon young Liam. Congratulations and I believe now is the time to leave as we have been gone for a while and i bet your family is worried about you."

Liam chuckles. " I doubt my dad is as worried as Luna is Mr. Ollivander."

Ollivander just smiles and nods his head. He then turned to Largras " If you would please lead us back to the surface Largras that would be most appreciated."

Largras responded with a cheeky grin, " Why of course follow me. I will need to go back to see my bosses and let them know the Order has accepted a new recruit and that he will be visiting often. We might need to see about getting you goblin lessons hahaha. So much work to do today"

Liam just smiles at Largras's antics. As the three began the long journey back to the surface the three begin to joke and talk about the uses of magic and theories. Liam could see Largras was happy someone was talking to him normally and was more than happy to share his thoughts on magic. As they passed the Ironbelly Dragon one more time Liam looked over, but saw it didn't even move so he turned his head back to talk more with Ollivander. As they left the Ironbelly opened one of its eyes to watch the mine-cart leave before it went back into its slumber.

It took the group an hour to return back to the surface. Upon arrival Largras wished the two a fond farewell and went to report to his boss about what had occurred down below. Before he left he gave Liam a handshake and said to expect mail from the goblins sometime before or during his school year.

As Liam and Ollivander were walking back towards the front of the bank Liam turned towards Ollivander, " Mr. Ollivander as i told you on the way back my sword is able to change to different weapons such as a wand. Do you think it would be better to have it as a wand or would Hogwarts allow me to use it as a sword if i wish since i can already do chant-less magic?"

Ollivander just chuckles, " My boy it is the same as your pets. We could request for an exception from my behalf, but I would recommend you use it as a wand when near others. That way you can keep yourself hidden and not bring the hateful greed of humans onto yourself for being so in-tune with magic at a young age."

Liam just nods before thanking Ollivander and beings to ask Reaper through his thoughts to change into a wand. Reaper hums and begins to change into a wand. The shaft was a dark silver with a blue shine around it.The hilt of the wand had a dragon curling with its mouth open and seeming as the sfaft was its flames.

As they walked to the entrance of the bank Liam sees Luna playing with their new companions.

(Liam)[ Well, well ,well. Someone seems to be having fun without me. I feel so hurt]

Luna just turns to see Liam walking towards them. She just smiles then goes back to talking their pets.

(Luna)[ Hmph. Who needs you when i now can play with my lovely Huginn.]

Liam just laughs. As he laughed Xeno heard him and smiled as he saw them coming.

"So I suppose everything went well then my son?" Xeno then looks at him carrying wand. " It also seems that you have a new wand with you."

Liam smiles, " Yes father. We can talk more later and discuss what has occurred."

Ollivander decides to chip in, " Before your family leaves I would like to give you one more thing from me Liam. It is back at my shop."

Xeno just nods and begins to talk with Ollivander as they leave back towards his shop.

Before following them Liam goes and lets his crow out of the cage. " I've been thinking and I think the name Shadow will suit you what do you think?"

The Crow just stares at Liam for a bit then moves its head as if it is thinking. It then nods and Caws at Liam. Liam just pats Shadows head before he stood up. As he stood Shadow flies and perches on his right shoulder.

Liam then looks at Luna and sees her smiling and he begins to do his fake hurt stance. " Don't smile at me I feel so hurt that you didn't miss me"

Luna just laughs at his antics before she passes him, " Well why should i miss you if you didn't miss me." She sticks her tongue out at him and uses her hip to bump him off balance before laughing as she ran after their father.

Liam just smiles and yells at her, " I'm going to get you for that" He begins to run after her while laughing. Luna just yells back, " Gotta catch me first slowpoke."

Xeno hearing their batter just smiles and laughs with Ollivander.

After they arrive at Ollivander's Xeno begins to scold the two, but while laughing of course.

Ollivander just shakes his head with a smile while he goes into the store to retrieve what he needed.

As they arrive at Ollivander's shop, Ollivander runs inside real quick and brings out a wand holder. " This here has been in my family for generations when we once worked for a strong being." As he said this Ollivsnder gives Liam a knowing smirk. " It has a similar ability as your wand Liam so i believe it will work perfect as a sheath for your wand if I say so myself."

Liam understands Ollivanders point and smiles and hugs Ollivander in thanks. "Now Liam i believe it is getting late and you have a lot to do before school starts."

Liam just nods his head and stands next to Luna and his father as he begins to put on his new "wand holder".

Xeno goes and shakes Ollivander's hand " Thank you as always Ollivander. Well it is getting late and I need to get these kids home. If you need anything just mail me."

Ollivander just laughs and thank him. He waves at the family as they head back to the tavern.

Luna and Liam just laughed and talked back and forth as they headed home.

It has been a fast two weeks for Liam and Luna. They are currently packing their luggage to board the train to Hogwarts tomorrow. Liam is currently in his room thinking of everything important that has happened within these two weeks. To say it was productive and eye opening was an understatement.

Luna worked with Xeno to improve her magic control and spent time in the garden with Huginns. She would watch Liam's training and sometimes would allow him to relax on her shoulder in his dragon form. She improved her knowledge and already finished reading most of the school books. She still wonder why she had to read Lockhart's books as they contained no real evidence or tactics against the magical beings.

Liam on the other hand went straight into training was he returned home. He took Embers and Ollivander words to heart and began training his body, mind, and spirit.

As Liam finished packing he took a minute to recall his training.

{ Liam begins to read the Combat of Heavy Armor. "The Heavy Armor is used for many reasons and goals, but one must not be encumbered upon it. If one is unable to have the body strength or fortitude to move the armor without feeling like its second skin you will never fight effectively. The heavy armor was used mainly for defense, but it's offensive capabilities should not be undervalued. As you continue to read their will be a set of training regimes from ages 11 and up. One must start young to effectively learn our way of training."

As Liam finished the introduction he saw many different training regimes. For his age group it was similar to the types of workouts he was already doing, but it involved a set of mail armor to be worn. Once his age and strength increased it would eventually move to plate armor.

Liam than opened the Weapon training for dummies and begin to read its introduction. "So you want to train in the art of Weapons and Warfare. Well good news for you for this book contains all the knowledge and different forms of most weapons known during our time. Heed my warning though you might be able to learn the forms and different weapons capabilities, but it will be on your hard work, dedication, and talent to truly master these weapons. Build your own form for these weapons and then you can truly be called a master."

Liam saw many different weapons and things he wanted to try, but he decided to focus on three first to at least gain a professional experience in. He choose the Sword, Pole-arm, and Spear. His reasoning was that he could use magic to conduct ranged warfare for now, but he needed more work on his close range-mid range combat. He also decided to work on his hand to hand combat encase the weapon was knocked out of his hand. When he thought of this it would work well with the Heavy armor training.

Liam continued to his final book The Magic of Healing. "To the reader of my book i thank you for stooping upon learning the ways of healing. Many in our time just want combat and glory, but how can we continue war without healing our own and the innocent? This book will show you the different types of healing. Many of which could even recover limbs if one has enough training and magic, but we are getting ahead of ourselves no? The book has a training regime and tests that you must pass before the next chapter becomes available. This way your foundation is built solid and not hastily. Healing is the most magic consuming form even stronger than the dark magic. I pray in your success and hope many find comfort from your light."

After Liam finished reading his books he created a new training plan that others would think was insane, but to Liam it was just a heavy workout.

He would wake up at 5 am and do his normal workouts. Around 7 am he would conduct his Heavy Armor and Hand to Hand training. At 10am he would learn the Magic of Healing and delve more into his own magic. Lunch with Luna and Xeno was at 12 sharp. At 1300 he began his weapons training giving each one a 1 h:30 min block.

At 1830 he would train his capabilities in his dragon form and make it become second nature. He would then have dinner with his family around 2000 and then headed off to bed around 2200 after he finished reading his books for Hogwarts.}

Liam just shakes his head remembering those times. As he broke out of his daydream Luna comes in and jumps on his back. " Are you ready for Hogwarts? I just finished packing all my stuff lets go eat some lunch."

Liam just nods as he pats Luna on the head and begins to piggyback her down the stairs to the kitchen. As they entered the kitchen they see Xeno at the table drinking coffee and reading the Daily Prophet. Liam asks his father if anything good is in the paper he just shakes his head no.

As Xeno sees his kids eating lunch he remembers a conversation he had with Mr. Weasley. " Luna, Liam Mr. Weasley invited us for dinner tonight. He said Ginny seemed to be nervous and was hoping your company would help relax her before you headed out to Hogwarts tomorrow."

Luna just jumps up in excitement and screaming yes since she missed one of her friends. Liam just laughs at Luna and agrees with his father that they should. Xeno also gives a big smile and then goes to Arg to send a message to Mr. Weasley to let them know his family accepts and asks what time dinner will be.

As Xeno does this Liam recalls when they first met the Weasleys. To say Ginny and Luna didn't get along at first was an understatement.

1 Year Ago(Ron already at Hogwarts) { Liam and Luna were walking down the main dirt road of the city trying to find an adventure when they stumble upon a redhead girl who seemed to be crying. Luna spots her, " Why are you here crying?" The Red head just turns and looks at her, " I don't need to tell you it's my problem not yours so leave me alone." Liam gives the girl a hard glare and begins to growl, but Luna jumps ahead. " Well it's too beautiful of a day to be crying. My name is Luna and this is my brother Liam. Come explore with us and you will warm up to us and then tell us eventually." Luna said all this will having her fist in the air looking very confident.

Liam just shakes his head at her antics. The redhead for a moment was stunned, " My name is Ginny. I would really rather be alone right now so please leave while I return home." Luna just shook her head, " Fine if you want to go home then we shall escort you home" Ginny just shook her head and began to head home.

During the entire time there was arguments between Luna and Ginny over the smallest detail…. Like who had the best brother. It took about 30 minutes to arrive at the burrow where Ginny lived. Mrs. Weasley noticed us and invited us inside. As the day went on Luna and I learned more about the Weasley's and Luna and Ginny become good friends.}

Liam just laughs at remembering how they met the Weasleys. About 20 minutes later Xeno received a letter from the Weasley's that they are happy they can attend and dinner will be around 7pm, but are more than welcome to come early and spend time with them.

Xeno told his family to be ready to leave towards the Weasleys around 6 and they would use the Floo channel. Luna and Liam went to get cleaned up and changed. They both wore casual clothes and were waiting on Xeno. Huginn and Shadow just watched amused from the living room as they saw Luna and Liam play fighting again.

By the time Xeno came down Luna was screaming at Liam while he was twirling her around. " Stop you meanie. You are going to ruin my hair!" Liam just laughed and put Luna down as he patted her head and stuck his tongue out at her. She just pouted. Xeno laughed and then the three wished goodbye to Shadow and Huginns as they Floo to the Weasleys.

As the Lovegoods entered the Weasley's home they saw Mr. Weasley in the living room and Mrs. Weasley in the kitchen preparing dinner. They heard noises coming from upstairs and assumed it was Fred and George making pranks on poor Ron again.

Xeno calls out to the Weasley's," Arthur, Molly thank you for inviting us into your humble about for this evening. Do you need any help Molly Luna and Liam are real good cooks if I say so myself." As Aruther heard Xeno he jumps up with a smile and goes to hug the man. " Xeno my friend it's so good to see you again. I have some stories to tell you. Did you know a rubber duck is used only for bathroom enjoyment in a tub. I swore it was some weird weapon or scientific achievement the muggles made, but I…"

Before he could continue molly goes over and hits Arthur with a pan over the head. " I swear since you learned about that duck it's all you talk about now." Molly then goes and hugs Xeno, Luna and Liam " It's so good to see you deary's again. I am fine in the kitchen just waiting for that roast to cook now. Go ahead and make yourselves at home."

Molly then turned to the stairs " WEASLEY'S THE LOVEGOODS ARE HERE. GET DOWN HERE NOW AND STOP WHATEVER NONSENSE IS GOING ON UP THERE" As Arthur and the Lovegoods saw Molly turn they already had their hands over their ears to prevent hearing loss from the boss ladies voice.

As soon as Molly's voice was done conveying its message you heard people rushing down the stairs. They first saw Fred and George who hurries over to Liam and both gave him a handshake and a hug at the same time. " Liam it's so good to see you again." " Yes its truly wonderful you must help George and I create some new pranks. The last one you showed us was ingenuous."

Liam just laughed at the two knowing that their goal in life was to create the most popular Prank store and create the most wonderful pranks in the world. Luna just gave the two a hard glare because she was onced used in one of their experiments that involve some green goo.

Luna then turned toward the stairs and saw Ginny. She screamed and ran towards her friend and gave her a huge hug. Ginny just laughed and hugged her friend. They both then went towards the couch and began to talk about who knows what.

Liam looked around and saw Xeno talking to both Molly and Arthur, Fred and George were keep making up weird prank ideas, and Luna and Ginny were just talking and giggling. Liam just smiled and then heard more noise from the stairs. He looked towards them and he saw Ron and some other boy who had brown hair, glasses, and what seemed to be a scar shaped as a lighting bolt on his head.

Liam went forward and gave Ron a good handshake, " Good to see you again Ron and who is your friend?"

Ron was happy to see Liam, but when he heard him ask who The Harry Potter was he was shocked. " Liam this is Harry Potter you know right?"

Liam tried to remember if he ever heard that name, but shook his head no, but he then went to shake Harry's hand, " Well good you meet you Harry the name is Liam Lovegood."

Harry smiled and shook his hand," Good to meet you."

Ron was still in shock that Liam didn't know and he all about yelled, " Bloody Hell Liam doesn't know who Harry Potter is." Everyone, but Luna, gave Liam a stare as in saying how dont you know. Luna just laughs and begins to talk, " Of course he doesn't know. If everyone remembers Liam doesn't really care about current history if it doesn't involve anything Military wise. Which Harry was never put in."

Everyone seems to nod at this and Harry just gave a confused look. As the night went on everyone began to laugh, eat, and play some games. By the end, Harry got to know the Lovegood family a little better and let them know he looked forward to seeing them at school. Ron began to tell the tale of his first year at Hogwarts to Liam and Luna saying how they fought Voldemort and won. How they also found a three headed dog and a troll in the school. Liam just looked with an intense gaze and hoped something exciting happened this year also.

As the night began to enter the Lovegood wished the Weasleys and Harry a goodnight and they made plans to meet up tomorrow and leave towards the train station together.

As thy arrived home Liam and Luna got ready for bed. As they began to lay down they both drifted off to sleep dreaming of the things Hogwarts would bring this year.
