Chapter 57 So freaking badly…

Rhio POV s

The memory of that old chapel replayed continuously at the back of mind. I've been longing to go back for a while now.

I want to see her badly.

So freaking badly…

But the place was empty when I arrived. The sight of Jesus bleeding on the cross stared at me condescendingly.

I have my own burdensome cross that was too heavy to carry.

I felt feverish, smothered. Everything I had just known added to the curse I was already carrying.

Why were these things happening to me? I don't want this!

"As far as I know, the Holy Week's still a few weeks away," a voice said from behind, "You look as if it's Black Saturday already."

I didn't turn to see whoever it was.

I'm not in the mood to.

"I'm glad you came back to visit, Rhion," she sat beside me, "Do we have a problem?"

My head remained bowed as I glanced sideways. I only saw the white flowers she was holding. She left the bag on my side and went to the altar to give her little gift.

She gave me the warmest smile she could when she returned. "You seem to be greatly troubled to have went here this late."

She kneeled down like she usually do and closed her eyes in prayer.

I was mindlessly staring at her again like the first time we met.

"Done!" she exclaimed as she looked around "Looks like Sister Ema isn't around. Wait…"

Her beady eyes were back on me, "Hey. Why do you look like that? Don't you remember me?"

"I need somebody to talk to," I finally willed myself to talk.

"So do I. We can tell each other our problems," she gabbled on happily.

I envied her smile.

I suddenly grabbed her arm and pulled her outside the chapel.

"Where are you taking me again? We can talk about it inside!"

"I just saw the dead priest's head. You might get scared. Get in."

"What?"

"Get in," I repeated as I opened the car door.

"If you're going to commit suicide don't take me with you."
