When did you get that romantic?

"Yeah, accordingly, she was last seen with my Mom at the Gap", Eddie spoke as she narrated their recent findings to Jake.

What she didn't notice, was Daniel who was gnashing his teeth repeatedly at the woman's mention. His mood went downhill from the moment he found out that Alice was seen with Eddie's Mom.

That woman...

"According to the source, they must be here. They have not left yet."

"Okay, bye!" Eddie hung up.

When she turned her head, she saw that her brother's face looked dark as the bottom of hell. So, she tried comforting him, "Bro, it's okay. We will find Alice soon."

Daniel just nodded with his eyes closed. His thoughts wandered back to his memory lane.

"Ah, how long will you keep my eyes closed like that?" Daniel remembered Alice asking him. She was wearing a sleeveless frock that complemented her feminine curves.

"Hold on. We are almost here", Daniel whispered in her ears as he guided her along the short stairway.

"Where are we? Where did you bring me?" Alice spoke restlessly with a pout.

"Do you trust me?" He spoke as the wind ruffled his perfect hair and the collar of his shirt.

"Of course", she smiled.

Suddenly, he let go of her and she stumbled a bit before she opened her eyes. They shone brightly as the fireworks started to go off one by one.

"Fireworks?" she leaned against the railing of the balcony as she looked back at him.

"Do you like them?"

"Of course. I do."

Alice suddenly thought of something and walked up beside him. She then tugged his arm, "When did you get that romantic, huh?"

"After realizing that your smile is the most beautiful memory", he replied as he looked straight ahead into the evening sky.

"Aiya", Alice just wanted to faint from this overdose of cheesy romance, "When did you learn to be so cheesy?"

"After realizing that my heart and soul belonged to you", Daniel smiled sheepishly but spoke in a serious tone.

"Oh my" she exclaimed as she held her cheeks between her palms, "When did you learn these sweet-nothings?"

"When I realized", Daniel suddenly startled her by turning to look at her, "The little bunny beside me is too adorable to listen to harsh words."

The sudden impact made Alice stumble back, but Daniel grabbed her by her waist. His other hand came up and caressed her cheek. Her eyes shone brightly under the dark sky. They blinked innocently with a pout on her tiny lips and he suddenly felt an urge to kiss those fresh jelly drops. Seeing him lean closer, Alice closed her eyes. His warm lips landed gently on her tiny ones. Their kiss took in slowly and passionately. This sudden surge of passion, filled her heart with warmth sweetness. She felt herself turn limp. She also felt that the ground below her feet was suddenly replaced by soft clouds. She felt like flying.

On the other hand, Daniel felt that she was the most treasured part of his heart. He could never bear to share her with anyone else. Her sweet and silly smiles were solely conserved for him to see. Alice moved her tiny hands and wrapped them around his neck while his hand moved down from her cheek and wrapped them tightly around her waist.

Being on a cloud nine... that's how it always felt...

Daniel jolted awake from his trance when he heard his phone ringing. Since he had a strange habit of saving contacts, he never felt this confused. This was the firsts time when he felt confused over the number flashing on the screen.

After some thought and sensing Eddie's complicated gaze, he picked it up. Before he could speak, he heard a panting and panicked voice, "Save... Alice..."

Doot-doot-doot

Both Eddie and Daniel were confused but the strong gut feeling told them that something was not right. Something bad was going to happen...
