Favourable cruel society

It's surprising that she actually wore a limited edition wedding dress.

Then again it should not be, since her grandparents chose this dress for her wedding before they died and it was written in their will. She was the rightful owner of this multi-billion dress.

Otherwise, would her parents really allow her to wear it? Tsk of course not.

Their favourite daughter gritted her teeth when she saw Alina's wedding dress. So, her parents allowed her to wear this dress to show their filial piety towards her grandparents.

The society was cruel but was sometimes useful. Especially for a family that values reputation like their life. Alina had self depreciating smile when she thought about her grandparents.

Even in their death, they thought of what's best for her. But what did she do, she took everything for granted.

Alina felt her heart being ripped into pieces, she wasn't a filial granddaughter. But this time, it would be different. She remembered her grandmother telling her to be weary of her parents.

But she thought her grandmother was being paranoid and snatching her from her parents hence she started resenting them even more.

Since young, she always felt her grandparents kept her away from her parents, she never asked.

But like any child, she craved for parental love which her grandparents couldn't provide. They kept her isolated and she too isolated herself as she couldn't take the social anxiety she had entrenched over years.

Her grandparent's protectiveness went beyond unimaginable level. They even made her dress up as a man, she could not show her true prowess or appearance to anyone. Her grandparents thought she was not capable enough to protect herself hence they created a male avatar for her.

Allen Xi.

At age of 15 she graduated from university as Allen Xi.

The youngest male ever to graduate from a university at such a young age. When she was 20, she was given an opportunity to teach psychology at Metropolitan City University. She was over the moon, but her happiness didn't last long when she realised, it wasn't for Alina Xi but for Allen Xi.

Alina felt her world was crumbing apart.

Her grandparents insisted she should dress up as her other self and become a person who could provide support for herself and build connections.

Moreover, she could not do anything since she was still a university student with female attire but a professor with male attire.

Hence she took to her male disguise and became the prestigious professor in two years. But her innate female self always made her a coward.

Alina came out of her trance and contemplated about confirming that she really went back in time.

She needs to leave this place as soon possible. If her parents capture her, she was done for. Since they can use the excuse of disciplining to lock her up.
