Hurriedly walking to avoid trouble, Kahn guided Austra through the sea of people. He made sure to always be on the lookout for any suspicious people, while also looking for a place to rest.
Walking, the two wandered around stores while Kahn kept a constant lookout. They never stayed in the same place for long since he was worried about being caught.
Meanwhile the pretty boy was on a wild goose chase.
Soon, their aimless walk brought them back to the theaters, which they couldn't enter or sneak into.
As Kahn was deciding what to do, he looked back, onto the on going crowd, and managed to spot a familiar figure. The pretty boy, who was clearly still looking for them, was heading in their direction. Seemingly still unaware of their presence.
They had nowhere to run, they couldn't go hide in the theaters without waiting for another movie to start. Since the entrance was monitored by security they couldn't force their way in. They couldn't go buy another ticket since the place was full. And if they tried entering through the exit, it would evoke suspicion.
They couldn't head to a lower floor, because the pretty boy was in the way. Getting past him was nearly impossible since he seemed to be pretty attentive of his surroundings and was actively searching for them.
Maybe they would be able to pass by a stroke of good luck, but Kahn wasn't willing to bet on it.
Time was running short and the pretty boy came closer and closer.
The only reason that he hadn't discovered them yet was because there were many people blocking the way. But even they wouldn't block his sight for long. There were only so many people after all, and their numbers decreased as he approached.
Right now, Kahn's chances of getting out of this one were slim to none, and he was already planning on making up excuses when they were found.
However, suddenly, he felt a pull from the side. Austra, the one he busied himself guiding, began pulling him along while maneuvering through the crowd, until he reached a wall. A plain cream colored wall, decorated with vases containing various plants and bushes throughout all of it's extension.
Kahn was confused about why had Austra brought him here. 'Did he manage to spot anything interesting?' He thought. But he would soon become dumbfounded as Austra's hand reached for a door handle that seemingly showed up out of nowhere.
Reaching the handle, he rotated it and opened up a small section of the wall. It was a door. Big enough for an adult to enter without problems yet small enough to be able to hide itself among the bushes.
"What the!? When was this here? How come I never saw it bef...!!"
As Kahn stood surprised at the existence of this door, Austra spared him no time to babble. He quickly dragged him in before swiftly and silently shutting the door behind them.
Meanwhile, just as the two entered, the pretty boy who had previously barely managed to catch a glimpse of the two, came near. Near the place where he had last spotted them, but he couldn't find anyone.
He searched and searched but there wasn't anyone bearing the slightest resemblance to the two, which left him somewhat confused.
But, not wanting to give up, he soon dismissed the sighting as a work of his imagination and continued searching elsewhere, confident that they couldn't have gotten far.
...
Austra and Kahn had just crossed through the door, when a dazzling light blinded their eyes, making them only able to see white for a couple of seconds.
When their blindness cleared, Kahn soon realized that he was somewhere new. Somewhere that he had never been before and that he never knew existed.
They were in a terrace. For them it looked big but considering the size of the mall, it was pitifully small. One could even consider it as just a large balcony.
It was located near the south side of the mall and was in the third floor, around 60 meters high.
It looked comfy. It had a cover above that was large and shaped in a way that let some light go through, illuminating it. With many seats and tables, trimmed plants and decoration, it was easy to see that despite not being anyone there, this place was normally cleaned and treated, showing that it wasn't forgotten.
"What is this place? It looks, relaxing"
"This? This is the employee sanctuary, as I like to call it. It is the resting place of the employees of the third floor. What no one knows is that this place isn't just restricted to employees, but is available to the public!"
Austra responded to Kahn's words that had mistakenly escaped from his mouth. But still, Austra's answers left him with even more questions. So he fired a string of questions, hoping to get answers.
"Wait, you said that it's available to everyone, but why don't I see anyone here? Why isn't this place known? Why is the entrance like that?"
"Hmm? You see..."
Austra was caught of guard and became slightly surprised at his quick questions, but still, he composed himself and answered.
"... its not well known because aside from the employees, no one aside from a select lucky few know about this place. But even those few don't know that this place is public. So, they rarely share it, after all, it's a resting place. A place that shouldn't be disturbed.
This area is like a separate, disconnected world.
The entrance is disguised like that to not let any passersby grow curious and try to open it. Even the outside is disguised. You can't spot this place even if you are outside, it's at an angle where you can't."
"Oh ok, I see. And you just so happened to have discovered it before?"
"Yes. Some time ago, I was following a friend of mine, who is an employee here, and he showed me this place"
"Great! Because it saved our butts!"
Kahn laughed, relieved. He had certainly thought that they were going to be caught for sure. So he was quite happy for that not to have happened. But he had forgotten something.
"Sooo? What were we running from?"
As soon as he heard that question, Kahn flinched. He had forgotten that he had never said anything to Austra and just dragged him around. So he could only give a wry smile.
"You noticed?"
"Well? Yeah, it was pretty obvious. You said that you wanted to talk with me and yet you dragged me to window shopping as we loitered around"
"Hahaha yeah, guess that I was too rushed"
He only gave a dry laugh to dismiss his actions, before looking at Austra again. Meeting his gaze, Austra sighed. Because after looking into his eyes, he clearly understood what had happened.
"Was it trouble?"
"It was. And it was big trouble!"
"What do you mean?"
Kahn cleared his throat as he began explaining.
"Behind you, when we were eating, many men were busy scouting you out. I myself was enjoying the show that they were making"
"..."
"Hahaha anyways, yeah, among those men, one stood out from the rest. And it was someone who you might know."
"Hm?"
"Who?" Austra asked, intrigued.
So Kahn leaned closer and responded, with a voice proud to reveal an unexpected reality. "It was Julius."
"Julius? The one from the Luster family? The one that keeps going after girls? That Julius? What could he want?"
".....You don't seem very surprised now do you?"
"I'm surprised though! But not much. I sometimes see Julius whenever I go to those parties that my family is normally invited to.
I almost never go, but of the times that I went, I never ever talked with him. So I'm slightly surprised that he tried to approach, that's all."
".... I see"
Kahn was downcast, after all, it was big news. Having someone from such a prosperous family as the Luster family come hook up with you was astonishing. Even if it was a playboy. So he had expected a larger reaction. But Austra's 'oh that guy' reaction was a really big let down for him.
As he was having his inner dilemma, he heard a voice near him.
"Thanks for caring about me"
He looked over and saw Austra, slightly grinning by his side. His smile looked soothing to watch. It brightened up his face and transmitted a sense of thankfulness. Kahn could clearly see that he was grateful, so he could only suck up his thoughts and respond.
"No problem, after all, we don't want the same thing happening as before, now don't we?"
As soon as Kahn ended his sly words, Austra put on a troubled face as he remembered.
"Right, last time was horrible. I had to run away from a guy who proposed to me, I didn't even know him."
"Ha! Right! That was hilarious! Even when you refused, he kept on pushing! And what was even more hilarious was the fact that he was drunk! Tell me again what happened, it's hilarious no matter how many times I hear it!"
"Yeaaah" Austra looked up in a daze, remembering what had happened.
...
A few months ago.
On the late evening of an unfortunate day.
Austra had just got off of school and was heading home, alone.
That particular day, when he was walking, he didn't feel like going through his normal way home. Instead, he opted to make a detour, to freshen things up. He had always taken the same, straight path home, so he was feeling kind of bored of it.
His detour eventually led Austra to an area that he had never been to before. A park, in the middle of the suburbs.
Since he was new here, Austra felt curious and began exploring.
The park was small, very small. But it was big enough to hold various attractions like swings and slides. It was circular and had many trees planted around and inside of it. Outside the park, were various houses and residences built, with some cafes and bars mixed in between.
Finishing his exploration, Austra decided to take a rest on the swings of the park. There wasn't anyone there, so there shouldn't have been any harm. The detour he had made was quite long, so he wanted to rest his feet for a bit.
Either way, although the sky was quickly darkening, the sun was still up, turning the sky orange and providing Austra enough time to take a long seat.
He only rose from his seat when he could no longer see the sun. The sky, in the direction of the sun, was still illuminated in a deep red. But in the opposite direction, the sky was quickly darkening, signalling Austra's departure.
However, as he began walking, and leaving the park, he suddenly stopped.
There was a man standing in front of him. Though standing might be an overstatement. In fact, the man seemed to be experiencing a slight difficulty to remain upright. While his head was slightly swaying from one side to the other.
The only reason that he wasn't falling to the sides was because both of his feet were firmly rooted to the ground, for some reason.
His clothes were a bit messy, but they still fit perfectly and looked great. His hair looked a bit unkept. His face and eyes looked slightly reddened and he seemed to be breathing heavily from his nose. The man looked he was passing through hard times.
"Are you alright?" Austra asked, concerned.
He knew that whatever was going on with the man's life had nothing to do with him, but still, he couldn't bring himself to not at least ask. The man just looked that pitiful.
Hearing Austra's question, the man's breathing seemed to have halted. Before, it was so loud that even Austra could clearly hear it, but now, as soon as he heard the question, it stopped. Though, almost immediately after stopping, the man sighed as if he was releasing something that was weighing him down, before continuing to breath normally.
He began walking toward until he was just about 1 meter away from Austra.
When he neared, Austra began noticing the man's looks. While Austra's height was 1,7 meters, he noticed that the man was significantly taller, standing at about 2 meters. And, without minding his unkept appearance, his actual looks seemed decent, he would be a stud if he properly kept his looks in check.
But Austra noticed one more thing. When the man closed in, he seemed to have brought with him a smell that Austra couldn't just quite guess what it was. It was faint yet it was somewhat familiar, but no matter how much he tried, he couldn't understand what it was. It also didn't help that the wind was blowing against them.
The man was just standing there silently, but he seemed to be struggling. He seemed to want to say something to him, but was struggling to get the words out of his mouth. So Austra just stood there, waiting patiently.
"Wi-will..."
Finally, the man seemed to have found some of the courage necessary to speak, as he managed to squeeze out the small sounds stuck within. But he didn't stop there. With a sudden burst of all the determination that he could muster, the man was able to spew out the strings of words that he was keeping locked within.
"Will you marry me!?"
"!?!?!?!?"
Austra's mind blanked for a bit. It was in great disarray. After all, what happened was hard to process. Who was this man? Why did he suddenly propose? This sorts of questions continued running through Austra's mind but with no answers.
But there was a question that Austra managed to get the answer. And it was the smell. Previously, he couldn't determine what it was. But now that the man had opened his mouth, he was able to understand what it was.
It was alcohol, and very high quantities of it. It was as if the man somehow, someway managed to keep all of the odor inside of him. The alcohol in his breath seemed to be so concentrated that Austra figured that, if the man wanted to, he could blow air on a torch and he would be able to spit fire.
The man was clearly drunk. He had probably come from one of the bars near the park. Austra hadn't payed much attention to it before, but now that the man spoke and now that he took a closer look, Austra noticed that his face was red, very red. He had noticed it before but quickly dismissed it as emotional drama.
"No. Sorry but I'm a man"
Austra quickly realized were this was heading so, as swiftly as he could, he denied the man's proposal and began walking away, rapidly leaving the astounded man's line of sight.
"Why do you need to lie!? I loved you ever since the moment I laid my eyes onto you, it was love at first sight!!" The man refused to back down as he began running in a mad sprint after Austra who was almost disappearing from view. He ran, completely disregarding his appearance as he did it. He refused to be rejected in anyway, shape or form.
As Austra walked away, relieved that he managed to escape, he suddenly heard various fast, loud and heavy thumps behind him.
He looked back and saw the man charging at him. He didn't even look like he would stop when he got near. He looked like would crash onto whatever was in his way.
And what was in his way, was Austra. Who, obviously didn't want anything to do with him, so he himself started running away.
Austra was quite confident in his speed. Among his acquaintances, friends and family, no one could come close to matching his speed.
And yet.
This time. No matter how fast he ran, he couldn't outrun the man.
He managed to stay in front, but he couldn't lose him. Whenever he looked behind, he would always spot the man just a few meters away from him. He was clearly faster than him but somehow the man always managed to keep up.
But that's not the worse part.
The worse part was that even when running, the man continued spouting nonsense, without minding his surroundings.
It was getting late but there were still a lot of people on the streets, so wherever they ran, there would always be people looking at them, wondering 'why all the rush?'.
And yet, the man still kept on spewing out shameless words.
"Love me!"
"Please! I'm desperate!"
"Don't run away from my love, you stole everything from me!"
"Think of the kids!"
As they continued running, the man's words were getting more and more shameless. Shameless to the point that passersby were beginning to see Austra in a new light, a negative one at that. But he himself could only run forward without paying much attention to the states, after all, he would be caught if he slowed down.
"You'll have my future child! Don't run from your responsibilities!"
He staggered a bit on that one, but he managed to catch himself and not fall. He looked behind him and stared right onto the man's grinning face. He wore a sly grin on his face as his plans to slow Austra down seemed to be working.
To be honest. Right now Austra felt like he wanted to go beat the man up, but eventually he relented and gave up the idea.
The man was drunk, very drunk, yet he could still think of this kinds of strategies. Who knows what he would do if he caught him. Although Austra was confident in his ability to defend himself, he would still rather not get into unnecessary trouble.
Running through various twists and turns, the man was finally beginning to close in. He was very familiar with the area so he was able to cut terrain and make shortcuts in order to keep up.
Just now, they had run through an alley with various obstacles, and while Austra was still relatively fast when crossing, he was still slow enough for the man to catch up.
The man had never been so close to Austra. He was a little under 1 meter away. From his alcohol infested nose, he could smell Austra's perfume, which further increased his motivation and increased his speed.
0.7 meters, 0.5 meters. He continued getting close and was just about to touch him.
Yet, he didn't.
No, he couldn't.
Austra was no longer there.
Right when the man was just about to touch him, Austra turned directions, barely escaping from the man's grasp.
The man hadn't noticed it before but they left the alleys, and they arrived to a place new to him. But a familiar one to Austra.
It was his regular home-to-school route.
After leaving the alleyways he quickly realized were he was and turned tails to run home.
"Nooooo!"
The man screamed and continued chasing. He had come so close and yet his prize was still out of reach. But he didn't want to give up, he wanted to continue trying until he couldn't anymore.
But his efforts bore little to no fruit.
Now in a familiar street, Austra was able to make the upmost of his speed. Gradually increasing the distance between the two. But he still couldn't shake him off.
Although he was now pretty far away, he was still there, relentlessly chasing him down. Pursuing him wherever he went. Austra was even slightly impressed but he too refused to stop. It was a battle of stamina and Austra was winning, yet he refused to slack off.
Even the gods seemed to be entertained by the two as a tail wind silently started blowing from behind the two. Slightly pushing them forward, it helped increase their speed and endurance.
Eventually the two reached Austra's house. His family was wealthy, so they could afford a small mansion. It was very small when compared to many others, but still big enough to stand out among the rest. It had some house keepers and guards since the house was too big to be managed only by Austra's family.
And now the guards were standing near the gates to the lawn.
They saw Austra approaching fast, and were confused as to why. But their confusion ended soon. Because right after Austra, they saw a suspicious looking man chasing after him.
The man was running madly, and didn't seem to be caring about how he looked. By this point, he was barely dragging his clothes along, while they themselves barely clung on. His heavy breathing could be heard from miles away and his alcoholic stench seemed to have broken past it's bodily prison and even entered the guard's noses with a bit of help of the tailwind.
The guards frowned deeply and wondered who would be so stupid to chase down this house's family members near the actual house.
Immediately, one took out his phone and called Austra's dad to warm him of the situation, while the others remained on standby, ready to act.
So, when Austra approached they quickly opened the gates to let him in, then swiftly closed them before trying to detain the man.
The man was shocked. Never would he ever imagine that the girl that he was chasing actually lived here, in such a big mansion. He tried to get away but aside from the ones that where already here, many more showed up, quickly cutting off his path of escape.
He had surprisingly lasted long before he was caught. His martial arts skills and battle instincts were honed, but still, he was only one man, and he was quickly outnumbered and apprehended.
He screamed his lungs off to be released but he was continually ignored and his screams were carried away by the wind.
Eventually, minutes later, Austra's dad arrived and saw the big mess that was dragged onto his lawn. Apparently, just before he had arrived, the man had passed out due to exhaustion and the alcohol, so after questioning Austra for a bit, they took the man away, with his fate left unrevealed.
...
"Hahahahaha!"
"Great! No matter how many times I hear it, it still manages to crack me up!"
"Haha, sure, but for some reason I feel like hitting somebody"
Hearing this Kahn dropped his laughter away quickly.
"Wait, wait I stopped, I stopped!"
"Alright!" Austra relented seemingly saddened.
"You know? The back of my head still aches. That slap you gave me hurt like hell!"
"Hm? What do you mean?" Austra replied with the sweetest smile that he could give, as if he were innocent and didn't do anything wrong.
Kahn could only stare at him for a while before sighing and continuing conversation. "...Nevermind..."
".... Either way, I guess that's why Klaus is always so grumpy huh?"
"Yup yup, I'm sure that that's why!"
"Yeah, I mean, he chased after you for long until he got caught, then he had to find out that you're kind of a guy, and then he was forced to work for you! Now that's a punishment!" Kahn said.
He felt that Klaus was slightly pityful. But more than anything, he felt his circumstances were quite hilarious. After all, his situation was just too good to not make fun of.
Whenever he remembered hearing the story for the first time and then hearing what his punishment was, he would feel a massive urge to laugh. Which is troublesome when the man himself is in front of him.
"Yes, apparently, my dad was impressed by his abilities and 'offered' him a job as my bodyguard, though he sucks at it"
"Yeeeeaah, Klaus is quite strong isn't he? But there's this one thing that I always forget to ask. I mean, I asked Klaus once but he refused to answer, so here it goes..."
"???" Austra had an idea of what Kahn wanted to ask, but he wasn't sure what it was, so he could only curiously wait for him to continue.
"... Why did Klaus chase you down? Was it really love at first sight?" Kahn inquired, despite all this time passing, he never figured out why. So he had dismissed the occurrence as just being the effects of being drunk. So now that they were reminiscing about it, he figured that there was no better time to ask.
Austra smiled when he heard the question. It was exactly what he had expected it to be. So he cleared up his throat and began explaining.
"You see? Apparently, right before meeting me. He was in a bar drinking with his friends. All had drunk much, but Klaus was the one that had drunk the most.
When they were leaving, they saw me sitting alone in the park. So following a conversation that they previously had, they challenged Klaus to try to go out me. Klaus, not wanting to be made fun of, boasted that he could get my number.
Aaaaaand the rest is as you know it"
When Austra finished, he didn't hear the laugh that he was expecting to hear, so he confusingly looked to his side.
Yet he only managed to see Kahn's cheeks swell up like a balloon while his hands closed his mouth shut.
He really seemed to be struggling for a bit, but eventually, he managed to drag down whatever laugh tried to escape.
"Klaus had it rough didn't he?"
"Pft! Sure he did!"
...
Joking aside, eventually the two realized that something was amiss.
They had stayed in here for quite some time, a little over thirty minutes, and yet they never received neither a call nor a message from Lem and the others. Which was strange.
"They should have already finished eating, so for them not to call means that they are busy with some other thing, let's go check" Kahn said as he sat up and prepared to leave. But....
"Wait!"
... he was stopped by an astonished Austra. His hand was holding on to Kahn's arm, and was shaking slightly. He looked surprised as he was looking at his phone, as if he couldn't believe what was happening. He beckoned Kahn to come over and showed him the contents of his phone.
"!!!?"
As soon as Kahn saw it, he immediately understood why had Austra stopped him, and he was thankful that he did.
He originally, when he was reading through what the phone said, was going cuss out loud with all that he had, but he immediately stopped himself. After all, after reading the news through his phone, he almost didn't dare speak at all.

!Breaking News!
We are sorry to interrupt the previously airing programmes, for all TV channels, but we bring to you a piece of news that you must know about.
Today, 1st of June 2019, there was an incident in the PineView Mall. This incident is still occurring as we now speak, so if you have friends of family in the facility stay calm and listen.
There was a terrorist attack this late afternoon. The target was the mall.
Most civilians escaped safely, some with light injuries, some were hospitalized, and unfortunately, some were killed.
There is a small number of people being kept in there as hostages, and the authorities are trying their best to guarantee their safety.
Presently, the offenders are keeping themselves locked in while the police is locked out with no way out entering. Power supply to the facility was cut to limit the terrorists options, but not before obtaining the footage from the security cameras inside with the help of an external source.
With the help of this footage, the police was able to determine roughly how many people were imprisoned.
To end this for now, we have a report from the authorities who, after about 45 minutes, managed to get some positive results.
Public Relations Agent Coulson:
"Thank you for your patience.
I will have to keep this short, time is of the essence, so thank you for your understanding.
I will start off by saying that due to the efforts of the police, specialists and the PineView Mall's security team, we managed to procure footage from the mall's security cameras.
With the help of this footage we determined that there should be an estimated amount of 200 hostages trapped within.
We have no means to rescue them since all entrances are blocked off and should we try to enter, there is high risk of being spotted.
So our best option as of now, has been to try to negotiate with the terrorists. Give them something in exchange for the hostages. And unfortunately, when we started, no deal was yet made.
That is. Until now.
With a lot of patience, managed to get a reasonable deal done.
With this deal, the offenders promised that they would release a third of the hostages, so our side just needs to honour the agreement.
That is all that we have accomplished for now.
Excuse me."
We are sorry to interrupt the previously airing programmes. The original programming will resume in 3 minutes.
This story will continue to be tracked on channel 4 news. The official website will be continually updating the site with whatever piece of information that it can find and if all ends, we will inform you.
This has been "Sloth Times".

"...What the fuck?"
"What the fuck indeed"
The sat there dazed. And who could blame them?
While they were sitting here laughing and worrying about nothing other than laughing too hard, there was a still ongoing massacre outside. Probably a lot of people died and if the two weren't in here, they might have died as well.
Their friends who they were just now talking about might be among the list of the dead.
Just the thought of this scared the two as they remained rooted on their seats.
And so the remained, for quite a while.
That is.
Until Kahn broke the silence and tried to make a gutsy face.
"Hey now. Let's not be so pessimistic, the worse might not have passed. So let's try to be positive"
Austra looked at Kahn as soon as he finished speaking. He wanted to refute, but decided that it was better not to do so. After all, he wanted this as well.
"You're right. Though it's best to remain a realist, I would rather be optimistic."
"Yeeeaah!"
"But what do we do?"
That was a question that both of them wanted to know. What should they do? Should they call the police and inform them that they were well? Should they sit tight and wait until this ordeal was over? Or should they venture out on their own?
These were the options that they had. And after deliberating for a while, the two reached a consensus.
If they informed the police, they would advise them to stay put and wait. But for some reason, staying put left a bad taste in their mouths. No matter how much their logic told them otherwise, they just couldn't bring themselves to stay.
So the two decided to move out, and search for Lem and the rest. Whether they found out that they were alive or dead, or, wether they themselves died. The two couldn't just bear to wait comfortably in a room. Their hearts wouldn't allow it.
But they did decide to call the police. After all, what they were about to do, was pretty dumb. But they just had to do it. If they managed to survive like this, hiding away from harm, even if in the end everything ended well, the two wouldn't be able to sleep well at night.
Making up their minds, the looked at each other with determination in their eyes. They wanted to make sure that the other wanted the same as them. They wouldn't want to drag the other if he was unwilling. Though, even if one was, the other wouldn't have hard feelings and would still leave. Leaving the other alone.
Luckily for Austra and Kahn, none of the two seemed unwilling.
So they proceed with their preparations.
Both tried calling the police at the same time, but the calls weren't picked up.
"Huh? That's weird, why aren't they picking up?"
"There's probably too many people calling at the same time, let's try again"
"Alright"
They tried again, but the result was still the same.
They continued trying but calls were never picked up. They were considering stopping for now and continuing later, but ultimately decided to continue trying.
And thank God they did.
Because a couple of tries later, Austra's call was picked up and they managed to talk. But something that they didn't expect happened. As soon as Austra said and confirmed his location, his call was redirected to someone new.
『Good Evening. This is Captain Rogers. I have heard that you are in a hidden location of the mall, is it? Be warned that if this is a prank then there will be dire consequences』
『Hello, this is Austra, don't worry, this is no joke』
『Alright, where is this room's location?』
『In the third floor, near the right side of the theater's entrance, there should be some vegetation. Bushes placed throughout the extension of a cream wall.
Inside, it's entrance is disguised as a wall located between the ninth and tenth bushes. Outside, it's located in near the south but it can't be seen from ground, maybe from a helicopter.
Near the windows are bushes arranged in the order 1/2/1/2 successively, and that's about it 』
『I see. Thank you for the information. Now I'll ask you, what are you going to do?』
『We are going』
『We? There's more than one person with you?』
『Yes』
『I see. But I advise you to stay put. At least there you are safe.』
『We refuse, we will leave』
『Why?』
『Because we can't, it doesn't sit well with us』
『Hmm... I already gave you my advice, so if you want to follow it then do it, if not then I can only say good luck.』
『Thanks, also, could you keep the call up? Whatever we encounter inside might prove useful.』
『Roger, I will redirect your call to an empty line, I can't have this one busy.』
『Thanks』
...
Having ended his conversation with the captain, Austra finished his preparations.
He set his phone's screen to lock and hid it in his clothes under his armpits.
He looked over to Kahn, to signal the start of outing, yet he found him grinning to the side.
"What's up?"
"Hahaha, Rogers said roger" Kahn silently laughed.
But he didn't know that Captain Rogers was still in line listening. He hadn't redirected the call at all. Instead he was still listening in, out of curiosity and suspicion. After all, it wasn't rare for enemies to play tricks with their targets, so he thought that maybe Austra was an enemy in disguise. But now, that joke that he just heard had debunked his suspicions.
Though he still remained, listening. Like the kid said, whatever they encounter or hear, could be good information. So he would much rather be here listening than wait for nothing to happen.
Either way, the special forces had their own plans in motion, and the information that could come from here, could potentially prove useful.
So he stayed and listened as Austra said.
"Let's go"
Sorry for the delay, I just had some stuff going on in the real world.
Originally, I had a chapter prepared that could be published around five days after the first one. But I didn't publish it. I didn't like it.
In that chapter I did everything I could to kill the MC fast, and I didn't like the result. It felt rushed, and it was quite obvious. So I just said fuck it and had to rewrite it all. It will take ages to kill the MC, but at least it will be in chapters that I'm proud of.
Good night.
