The Irregular

I woke up in a strange corridor where everything seemed to be distorted. I hurriedly try to locate my father and Hamengku Suro presence. As I looked to both of my sight I was so relieved that both of them slept next to me.

Genada, whose body was seemingly possessed by something stood still in front of me. He was so calm and collected with this place as if he knew about it. I dare not to ask about this place to him now. Forget about asking this place, I am so anxious and can't even utter any word.

"Glad to see you again." As Gen gazed at me deeply.

I was so confused with this condition. Genada said he is glad to meet me again? Haven't I just recently met him? What is wrong with him? Did he lose some of his screw due to that unknown power? Yet it seems I can't inquire it deeper as I am afraid of this person in front of me.

"Worry not, I am myself. Genada Oswalt yet I am also not him." He gave me philosophical answer.

"....." A silent was my answer to his words. I mean, come on why you must give that weird reply? I have never liked to have a philosophical words like that, just tell me the straight way. I grit my teeth trying to suppress my anger to Genada, but still I won't reckless thing to him now, since we were trapped in this warped corridor.

"..."

"..."

The silent continued for some times until he said something again.

"Forget it, you won't understand anyway what I sa...UGgh..." He uttered disgraceful sound unbefitting his earlier solemn stance as I punch his stomach as hard as possible. My vein popped and land a punch as he purposely said I won't understand his word.

"Still that Princess who going through as she pleases with hard ways by fist. How I miss it so much this you." He tried to look cool and try to balance his solemn pose again.

"My time is short, as mortal's body can't handle the pressure of this ethereal corridor. I wanna tell you what danger will befall this world. So listen carefully."

Meanwhile, in Genada's consciousness.

"Tell me something will you, I don't know at all. First I was suddenly transported to this world. Later I found myself talking with entity like you in a nowhere land. What happened actually? What am I?" I asked the entity that spouted some words to me back then.

"You are an irregular in this world. Your presence here simply defy nature's law. You might bring the chaos to this world later as you disturb the balance of this world." The entity talked.

"What balance? Nature's law? I got kinda more confused with these explanation."

"You will find the answer slowly. Let the time play the part. All you need to do know was simply strengthen yourself. As irregular you are bestowed a gift to use magic. You must learn to master it as the future is uncertain after I actively shape it for you now. Our time is short, you must return back to your consciousness before the back lash of borrowing ethereal power happened to your body."

As if he pushed me out from this "ethereal" place my consciousness slowly returned to me. As I woken up I was stranded in yet unknown place again. This time it is a beach like environment. I slowly tried to look around as I find my head seemed so comfortable with some kind of pillow. I was so shocked as I noticed that it was Princess' lap. She seemed so tired and slept herself near the coconut tree. I tried to stand up and purposely stay away from the princess in order to avoid unnecessary violent scene from her horrifying punch.

Princess Sri Puspa woke up shortly after. She asked me my conditions. I told her I am fine. Suddenly I remembered about the other two people who stayed with us, the king and also Hamengku Suro. Sri Puspa said it was unnecessary worry as she pointed the location of two snoring presence near us.

Sri Puspa told me about the moment that Kala guy stab me with dagger. She told me that I was wielding a mysterious power and successfully saved her father and her loyal knight from the verge of death.

She also told me how we got here. It seems during my unconscious state the person or thing which possessed me throw them away to a portal that led us here. She also told me about the warning from that entity. It was all still too vague just the same as that entity told me.

A day later the King and Hamengku Suro finally fully recovered. I am so glad to see the survived that horrors. An assassin literally set for the king's head. It must be backed up by those vicious noble.

I planned our ways to travel back to the kingdom but first thing first I must know where we are now. So instead hastily return back to the kingdom, we tried to reach the nearest city from here. However we have walked and set camp for several days without finding any city.

I was still aware of that entity warning and the magic I possess. So when I had free time. I used to train for my magic. At first it seemed impossible for me as I don't even know where to begin. But, somehow from the last incident I somehow know where to begin my magic study. All I need to do was to focus on the image of something.

I tried with flame creations. Magically speaking fire can be ignited from the air, but the truth didn't work like that. I tried to visualize a lot of things from a dragon's breath, flame thrower and many things but it didn't work. However I tried to change my perceptions and tried to understand how flames naturally created.

I imagined a flint was clashed to each other and created a spark. That spark hit an organic material and thus flames was lit. I imagined the particle of those organic material were on the air. I tried to point my hand to a tree. "Burn." Suddenly a small spark from my hand can be seen as it was growing to bigger fireball by devouring the air along its path. However the flames was not big. instead it only left a small parch of blackened area to the wood I pointed without even burned.

"Yeees!!! A success!." I yapped happily.
