Heading Out

Alec shakes his head and says "No, I will take care of the things here. I just want you to hurry and come back safely." I smile and nod in understanding. I push up from the computer chair and quickly walk to the door as Alec begins pulling out more maps.

"Please be careful..." Alec's worried voice has me freezing in the door. I turn and give him a warm smile "I'll be careful I promise." Alec nods as I shift back to the bedroom. Alec has his hands full so I don't want to bother him anymore and I don't want to add to his problems.

Chip was sitting in the room licking his semidry hair. "Oh good, you're back. When are we leaving?" Chip asks as I fall into the large fluffy bed. "After a nap," I say with my face buried in the blankets. Chip snorts and says "I could use a nap after my bath as well."
