Ryo vs Rose

What are you doing here?" The red haired ogre spoke.

"Observing. That's all" Ryo floated down and stood in front of the group.

"Nice sword!" He looked at the female ogre who held her sword like a baby.

"Nice wings! but you can't have my sword." She hugged it tighter, almost like a mother protecting her baby.

"Thanks, i like them too, but calm down, i won't take your sword. Even though i could" He gave her a playful smile, and the old mans grip on his sword tightened slightly.

Ryo saw the seriousness on their faces and decided it was enough with the teasing.

"I actually came here with an offer, so if you're willing, then sit down and listen." Ryo withdrew his wings and sat down with crossed legs. The red haired one sat down almost instantly and the rest were of course forced to follow his actions.

"Good! Now let me tell you what I'm here for." Ryo's eyes scanned he ogres ones again, before he continued.

"I want to invite you to my village. I've seen you fight, and i am pleased about your strength. And one last thing before you answer. I won't take no for an answer, so either follow me willingly or I'll beat you until you agree." Ryo looked at them with seriousness, until he said the last part, at which his face became all smiles.

"I-I don't know what to say here, really." The leader of the ogres was slightly panic stricken. He didn't know what to do. Did he want to follow another being and give up on being a leader. Is this what his comrades wanted. he looked for hints on his friends faces. All of them showed complicated emotions, except for one.

There was one ogre sitting behind him that hosted a different look on his face. You could see longing, desire and determination written all over his face. The ogre noticed the stare from his young master and looked over.

"What do you think is the right decision here?" He looked at the blue haired ogre that looked excited about this whole thing.

"Young master, am i allowed to speak honestly?" He had his head slightly bowed down.

"Always, i can't do anything with lies. Speak honest and open."

"I believe it would be in our best interest to accept. Not just b-because i would like to avoid a beating, but also because he is clearly stronger then us, and following him might finally allow us to take revenge for our tribe. I have pondered on this matter ever since we saw him last, and i truly believe this is right."

"I like you! You all seem like good people, so why don't we do this. follow me until the orcs are done with, and then decide. I would feel kind of bad beating you guys now. After all it would not be right to hurt ones own subordinates. ``Lucky me that Rose isn't here``" ( `` Means inner monologue)

"he he, fine! We will cooperate while the orcs still live, and then i promise i will make my decision." the red haired ogre bowed his head a little to show gratitude to Ryo.

"Okay, so i don't know if you remember, but let me introduce myself again. My name is Ryo and it's a pleasure to meet ya. It would be best to keep going, but we actually need to wait here a little bit longer." Ryo didn't forget about a certain someone he had dropped into the middle of the forest earlier.

"What for?" The ogre asked.

"Well, more specifically, you guys need to wait for a while. I have to fetch something so i will be back in just a few minutes." Ryo didn't give them time to respond. Two massive wings spread out from his back ones again and he took flight at an unbelievable speed. he disappeared before the ogre even noticed he had left. the red haired ogre was in the middle of asking Ryo what he was fetching, when he noticed Ryo was no longer present .

----Middle of the forest----

"Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid." A tall female elf was walking in the forest, totally lost on where to go. She had been walking for about an hour or so, and she felt more lost then when she started. She kept cursing someone or something the entire time as she was walking.

"Hi! How have you been doing, Rose." Suddenly she heard a very familiar voice behind her, and she quickly turned around. When she got a look on the man behind her, she lost her mind. There he was, standing there looking so happy, while having dropped her from hundreds of meters in the air. Thick killing intent spread from her body and she unsheathed her sword.

"Someones mad! Well this is good, actually. I need some practice with this thing." Ryo took a basic stance with his spear.

Rose held her sword in both hands and dashed towards Ryo. He did the same thing, and they ended up clashing in the middle of the sprint, and the initial clash between their weapons destroyed the ground beneath their feet.

A test of strength began between them as they both continued putting forth more strength every second. Suddenly Rose withdrew and forced Ryo out of balance for a second, and got behind him to strike at his back. Ryo regained his balance quickly because of the balance training that flying had provided.

He rolled forward and at the same time swept his spear backwards trying to land a sneaky attack on her. He was unsuccessful as she blocked it with her sword, but the power behind his spear wasn't small, so she was force back a few meters.

They both regained their footing and took stances against each other again.

They both stood in place for a few seconds before Rose threw a small knife she had hidden inside her sleeve. The knife reached Ryo instantly, but he caught it between his index and middle finger and gave Rose a mocking smile. Only rose was no longer standing in place. She appeared behind him and tried to slice off his head.

Ryo didn't have enough time to block with the spear so he used his hand and forcefully swatted away the sword. The force behind his fist was too much for Rose so her sword flew out of her hands and Ryo took this chance to grip her throat to finish the match.

As his hand closed in, a tiny unnoticeable smile appeared on her face, because Ryo's hand went straight through her. Ryo lost his train of thought because now there was hole made out of fire, at her throat where his hand was supposed to grip onto.

Ryo was totally lost and Rose didn't miss this opportunity. She took out another small dagger and held it against his throat.

"How about we consider this my win, m.y l.o.r.d." Rose killing intent disappeared and in place was her usual beautiful smile.

"I-i guess so. What kind of ability is that Rose? Is it something you gained from the evolution?" Ryo was honestly very happy. The stronger his subordinates were, the less likely it is that they will lose and die in a fight.

"Yep, Can you please remove your hand from inside my throat. This ability take an insane amount of stamina and magic to keep up. I can't hold it any longer." Ryo quickly took away his hand and Rose collapsed on the floor completely exhausted.

"How long can you be in that state?" Ryo wanted to find out more about it.

"t-ten, maybe fifteen seconds, if I'm pushing it. I can only do it to one part of my body and i need to really focus. That's why, i let you catch me. There is no way that i was gonna win a pure physical fight with you, and i can't focus enough while fighting to use this ability. So the fastest option to victory, was to get caught and catch you off guard, especially since you didn't know about this."

"Well done Rose, very well done! You're starting to earn that spot as my right-hand woman." Ryo was like Rose at the moment, all smiles.

"Thank you, my lord! I will definitely master this ability and make you proud." She got down and prostrated to Ryo again.

"First it's kneeling too much, and now, barely a day later you evolved it too prostration. That's one thing about you we will have to fix."

"Yes, my lord! I will work on it!"

"Well, we have to move now. I just acquired new subordinates and they're waiting for us, so let's hurry. Grab on." Ryo, with his wings spread out far, offered his hand to Rose. She grabbed on and they began the journey back to the ogres.

While in the air, Ryo decided to check out her status window. He wanted to know more about her new abilities. He had forgot about checking her status after her evolution. "System, bring up the status on Rose."

"nothing, really. I just have great expectations of you." Ryo had a genuine kind big brother smile while he checked out her new status window.

Rose sprouted the happiest smile her face could physically handle. "Yes! my Lord! I will not let you down."
