New Days

The day ended and it was getting dark, the bright light the full moon gave added to the beautiful scene these young people had.

Derek sent them home to secure their safety besides it is already late.

Yohan and Euna were the first person to get off, while Grace having the same neighborhood with Derek tags along still.

Grace felt awkward, so she choose to watch the paths they were passing by, then suddenly Derek ask something that changes their situation.

"Do you like me?"

Grace who doesn't know how to respond, went silent.

"I heard your conversation with Euna about something you liking me, I just want to affirm it from you", Derek said directly.

Grace's mind were running wild, "Does he knows how domineering he is, gosh!"

She was contemplating wether to tell him the truth or not, but then she remembered what Euna told her that it won't hurt her if she confess first and chances like these may not repeat in the future.

"Yes" she said as she bow down her head.

Seconds passed no response from Derek, minutes passed yet still it was a dead silent, so she raised her head to look at Derek.

And he was staring intently to her and kissed her cheek immediately.

She was caught up guard and blushes profusely.

"I like you too."

"But how about Ava?"

"Ava was my dog, and Yohan was just teasing me."

"Ohh"

Right at the moment they were already in front of her house.

"See you at school then", Derek reminded.

"Yohan, why are you getting home late nowadays?

Are you dating someone?

You should be careful, being a young dad is tough", Marco nags.

"What?

How did being a dad came into this?

And I'm always late coming home, you're the one who's just early this time!", he rebutted.

"Now your philosophical, quit it and let's just eat."

"I'm done already, brother, I'm getting an eye shut!

Bye!"

He left Marco in the dining area eating alone, they don't eat together often but that wasn't mean they're no good.

Their relationship were too pure and amazing, even if they do see each other seldom, because of things going on, they still manage to be there in each other's best days.

Seeing his little brother taking life seriously made him think he's becoming a man, so he was thinking of a present for his upcoming birthday.

"Marco, my alarm isn't working buy me another one", Yohan told his brother while he was half awake walking to the bathroom.

Marco were preparing breakfast at the moment, "you won't need that, you will just shut off your alarm and go back to sleep, you still wakes up the way you wanted, so it's a waste of money".

"I'll just get yours then", he said while scratching the back of his head.

"Ha ha, okay, I'll get mine some then, let's eat."
