Commotion

An hour ago, Nick came to the a private room next to the function room. His parents in law, Old madam NG and two of Alice uncles were already there.

"Sit here" Chairman NG patted the empty seat next to him. Nick bowed and sat down.

"What you told us earlier about my daughter health, Is it true or do you still cover up something from me ?" Chairman NG asked.

"It's all the truth. I can show you the medical report if you wish" Nick smiled.

"I have a plan to take her to Japan next week to do some check up. Your mother in law just told me that after the incident she often had headache" He explained more.

"We have regular health check up every year. But It just blood test for general check up. If you think it's necessary then please do so" Nick did not mind at all.

"Did she remember what happen to her back then ?" Old madam NG asked.

"I don't think so"

"Don't you want to find out about it ?" Madam NG asked.

"Well, I don't think it's necessary. My mother is every religious person, she always tell us to let go. I think she is right, there is no use to stay in the past" Nick smiled.

"Sir, Lawyer Mo is here" Secretary Chin brought the old lawyer in. The old man was dumpstruck to see the ex finance director who was charged againts corruption was presented.

"old friend, sit here" Chairman NG intructed the old lawyer who did as he was told.

"I plan to retire by the end of the year"

"why ? we still need you, President director is too young and still not a right time for you to step down" Lawyer Mo heard about the gossip few days ago. He had been looking for chance to express his tought.

"I am old now. I want to do what I always wish to to. I want to travel around the world like my in laws do, I want to play and look after my grandchildren and I want to do my duty as father that I didn't do. I fully understand that Liam still doesn't have capability to seat on that role. I don't have intention to put him there at this stage anyway. I appoint My son in law in that position. I hold 35% of the share and this man and his family own 23% which mean that the majority of shareholders accepted it. Here are the proxies" Chairman handed lawyer Mo the paperwork.

Lawyer Mo patted his chest as a sign of release.

"What happen?" Chairman Ng asked.

"I was afraid you chose Patrick" the old lawyer blurted

"It's not like that. But Li and Meng family spreaded the rumour"

"These ?" Lawyer Mo didn't understand why the two men held the company share.

"They are actually my younger brothers. we have same father but different mother. I'll annouce this news tonight as well" Chairman NG explained briefly.

Lawyer Mo nodded, he knew Nick reputation in business world and he had good impression on him as well.

"What do you plan for the company? are you going to make changes?" Old madam NG asked Nick

"I don't know yet. I need to learn and find out the company position first"

The men nodded with satisfaction, he indeed showed his profesionalism.

"Since lawyer Mo is here. I want to hand out this agreement as well" Nick put a folder there.

"what is it ?" Chairman NG picked up the documents and frowned.

"I will do my job for maximum of 5 years. At the end of the third year, I'll gradually shift my responsibilty away" Nick said.

"If the shareholder still wants you, what will happen ?" Er su asked.

"I won't take it" he said firmly

"I hope Liam or others will take it, I won't change my mind. This is our family betrothal gift for NG family that is 10 years late. Our Feng family doesn't have valuable material other than their kids education, so this is the best I can do"

Everyone were dumpstruck.

"Understood" Chairman NG nodded.

"You guys talked about business. I am not interested" Old Madam NG left the room with her personal maid. Her personal maid just entered the room and told her something in secret

"you know that across all businesses under our flagship, a lot of management team are related to high managements people. What are you going to do ?" Chairman Ng asked.

"I don't mind as long as they are capable. But if they are useless, it's better to kick them away because it make the staffs spirit and loyalty to company become lower"

"You come with me on monday, I'll show you all company information that I have. Also, do you think your uncle can join again ?" Chairman NG asked a tricky question. He tested him.

"I need to find out the situation in company first. But does ErSu really want to come back ?" Nick asked back.

The man who was the main topic laughed and asked back "What do you think ?".

"How long did you stay in your position before ?" Nick asked again.

"I was in finance since I graduated from school" He said honestly.

Nick smiled and nodded "Old veteran, I think I need to learn finance from you. It was my weakest subjects back there. I currently depend on my god sister and her husband on that area" Nick was very diplomatic, but those who were on the room had enough experience to understand his hint.

"you can, so, come back more often then"

"Sir, Han family and Meng family make a commotion outside. They slander miss in front of everyone. They pushed her down but lucky secretary Chin father and brother came on time to prevent any injury" One of the secretary came in hurry. He was instructed by his manager, sectary Chin to report the incident.

"Lets go" Chairman NG said coldly. He stood up and held his wife hand then led the group.

When they arrived at the scene, they heard Byron was apologizing to Alice.

"What happen earlier ?" Chairman Ng asked Ming who retold the story by adding abit more words to flare up.

"it's enough. I need to shut their mouth" Cobra spoke up.

"Wait ! the higher they rise is the better. Because we can laugh louder when they fell down" Chairman NG second brother said coldly.

"True, when you fall from chair, the worst you can have is only bruise . But if you fall from high building, you are unrecognizable" the third brother said.

"Bro, your princess is not a kitten anymore" Ming nodded with satisfaction when Alice talked back.

"She has NG blood in her vain" Chairman NG said proudly while the others smiled proudly.

"Nick, are you happy Xinxin declared her love for you ?" Madam NG teased her son in law.

"Of course I do" He grinned in silly way.

"Come on, You are not newly married any more" Ming shook his head helplessly. He had enough with the couple lovey dovey.
