File 8: Accident

"I would never have thought that I would succeed in solving a case with the Detective of the West and a girl High School Detective!" Miku chimes.

"We didn't even do anything, you solved the case on your own, smarty pants." Heiji looks unimpressed, so does Conan.

I can't believe that a girl like her, who just thinks about fun all the time, can beat us in solving cases. Just who is she? Conan thought.

Ran then receives a phone call.

"Hello?" she answers.

Miku and Chiharu, nor is everyone there knows nothing about what was said on the other side of the line, but then Ran collapses on the floor, with frightened eyes and tears flowing. She seems to be in a daze of shock.

"What happened, Ran-neechan?" Conan asks.

"Ran-san?" Sera asks.

"Oto-san...Oto-san died... Car accident..." Ran whispers, then faints of shock.

"S**t. That should be their doing." Miku mutters.

"Who's?" Heiji and Sera ask in unison.

"It is time for you all to know the red dot." Chiharu says, "I am phoning Shizuko for the whole explanation."

"No need. I think I know enough for you to understand," Conan says, "I'll tell you later. But with Subaru-san"

Everyone walks towards the nearest destination, The house of Kudo Shinichi, where he told the full story of the history of the Shizuko, and what is the connection with the red dot of the Bloody Mary Rose.

Time Skip...

Sera and Miku put Ran on a bed in another bedroom and comes back to the living room, where everybody meets. Okiya Subaru, Chiharu Atsuko, Katsuki Shizuko and Edogawa Conan, but in this case, Kudo Shinichi.

"The Red Dot symbolises the Italian Mafia Organisation called Bloody Mary Rose, a Female Organisation that has some ties with The Black Organisation, which, Sera-san and Hattori would be able to understand," Conan stated.

"Everyone here knows that I am Kudo Shinichi, right?"

"Yeah," the whole group murmurs.

"Subaru-san, I wonder how do you know he's Kudo-kun?" Sera asks suspiciously.

"I'm Akai Shuichi. Your brother," Okiya Subaru reveals his identity, Akai Shuichi.

"You hide too many secrets of your life, Kudo," Hattori comments.

"Well, I have much more secrets of the Shizuko's ties with Bloody Mary Rose than his secrets," Katsuki says.

"Anyway, get to the story. The Bloody Mary Rose was associated with my family because we work with them as well. Our family name is based on the female side instead of the male side, that is based on the Rose.

"Being in the Mafia org means you get to connect with a lot of other families of mafia groups. Then we left, because of the dirty ways they get money. Things aren't looking good if they are having ties with the Black, they will become quite powerful." Katsuki finishes.

"So, you're saying Mouri-san's death is not an accident but a murder?" Sera asks.

"Yeah. According to Zero, she said that the engine has been tampered with, but it looks like nothing happened," Miku says, "Shadow says that they might target my brother and me next."

"Brother?" Akai asks.

"I think I'm from the Akabane Family. I am not sure about it but yeah."

"I thought so," Chiharu says.

"You always say that!"

"Anyways, back to the topic." Conan says, "Ojii-san's death is unpredictable, but that means that they might target Ran next."

"Yeah, Sonoko and Kazuha. Shadow says so."

"Who's the Zero and Shadow?" Sera asks.

"Zero, Hiro Rei; Shadow, Akira Senju, or the oldest sister of the Shizuko Family," Katsuki says.

"How did she get all the information?" Hattori asks.

"Kushina's in the Infiltration Unit in the FBI. She successfully got in by using the past trust of Rose to enter the Black Organisation. I don't know about Hiro Rei, though." Akai states.

"Rei is my friend. She swears a lot, too." Miku says.

"Wow, what great connections. That makes me remember someone," Conan says.

"Snow-san?"

"What? How do you-"

"Ah, Akira-san has met her once. She is a person no one can ever forget."

"The light to the shadow, you can say," Katsuki says.

"Kudo, you thinkin' of revenge?" Hattori asks.

"Y-yeah... The feeling of wanting someone dead feels terrible." Conan replied.

"I know this feeling and the realisation of when you just killed someone. Please control yourself, Kudo-niisan." Chiharu says.

"I know."

"Eri Sensei must be sad, too. Let's arrange the funeral sometime this week." Conan sighs.

"Buzz, buss." The sound of Kudo's phone is ringing. It could only be one person.

"Ran's awake. She's calling me..." Conan says.

"Answer it," Miku says as Conan takes out the Voice-changer bowtie and turns the nobs to make Kudo Shinichi's voice.

"Shinichi?" Ran's shaky voice can be heard.

"Ran? Did something happened?"

"Oto-san... Oto-san died... In a car accident..."

"Ran! Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah..."

"I am coming to see you. Where are you now?"

"Your house, I think..."

"I'll be there. Wait for me."

Conan cuts off the phone call.

"Now what are we going to do? The prototype antidote is not permanent, and you will have to leave her when it wears off to hide your identity. Unless you can find a drug that can successfully retain your body in shape forever, then you will be fine." Hattori impatiently states.

"That, I might be able to help," Chiharu joins in the conversation.

Time Skip...

Chiharu and Conan stop at Professor's House.

"Agasa Hakase (Professor Agasa), we came here to visit!" Conan shouts.

"What do you want today, Kudo-kun?"

"Nothing much. Where's Haibara?"

"Not here, probably downstairs."

"Okay."

Chiharu follows Conan downstairs to Haibara's room. And the rest of the conversation goes like this:

Haibara: Hey, Meitantei-kun, what do you want today?

Conan: Haibara, Chiharu says that she might be able to help with the prototype antidote APTX4869.

Haibara: Really?

Chiharu: With magic, if you believe me.

Conan: Get out.

Chiharu: If you don't believe me, then no antidote for you.

Conan: Fine.

"Thank you for giving me the antidote." Chiharu says, "Now let's begin."

"Begin what?" Conan asks.

"Shut it, please, I need to concentrate."

"..."

Chiharu musters all the strength of her mixed Apollo bloodline and clutches the medicine. Closing her eyes, she can see different information about the antidote and what chemicals it misses. Using the crystal Trivia and Forstina created Chiharu forms the missing chemicals needed for the final antidote.

Moments later, Chiharu opens her eyes.

"It's done."
