Miyu quickly put the box and letter back into the hidden place once she felt a presence. She tidied herself up, flattened down some of her flying away hair strands, and prepared herself for interaction.
Aina knocked on the door and Miyu gave a little call to her, indicating that she could come in.
Aina bowed in front of Miyu before saying, "Sorry to intrude, young miss, but your mother is screaming and throwing things. At this moment, she is coming to your home. I-I..."
Miyu got up and said, "If that is all... then you may leave."
Aina composed herself and nodded. She bowed once more and left, but stopped when Miyu said,
"And remember... she isn't my mother."
Aina turned around and nodded once more, but this time her eyes filled with understanding.
As she left, Miyu gave out a sigh of relief. She expected Kokoro to get mad, but it seems that Kokoro seemed to be a little extreme. Miyu wondered how badly Ryota hurt her until she heard her door slam open.
"Miyu??!!?"
Miyu turned around to see Kokoro, who had radiant skin which looked healthier than a baby's bum.
Miyu was stunned, with how ruthless Miyu knew Ryota she didn't expect him to leave Kokoro without a scratch. Then she thought, 'Well, Arata did help Ryota. AND he's a good healer.'
With Miyu's conclusion, she silently thanked Arata for this good opportunity to embarrass Kokoro.
Miyu fluttered her lashes innocently and turned around to meet Kokoro straight on, "What is it, miss?"
Kokoro fumed as she stomped towards Miyu to give her a large slap.
The sound echoed throughout her room. Along with the slap, a gasp also resounded.
Miyu fell to the ground and moaned from "pain." Miyu made a huge deal by clutching her cheek with her eyes watering.
The gasp came from Hanae, who was finally able to witness Miyu's suffering. Everytime Kokoro punishes Miyu, she makes sure that Hanae is turned the other way. Hanae is one of the only ones in the Fujimura family that is slightly kind hearted. She can handle someone insulting another, or cat fights between girls, but she cannot stand someone taking advantage of another or someone being beaten for being weaker.
Hanae wanted to interfere, but stopped herself when she realized who was being beaten. She needs to keep an image in front of her mother, someone who isn't pitiful and helps those who are weak. Kokoro doesn't like those types of people. She says that they're easy to take advantage of and are weak-willed. And Kokoro says that none of her children can be that type of person, unless they are courting death.
So, Hanae hid her pity and looked Miyu hard-on, showing no emotion.
Miyu realized Hanae's internal conflict, but decided not to act upon it. Today's not Hanae's day, it's Kokoro's.
Now came the switch, the biggest part of Miyu's plan. He came stomping down, with his similar dark locks, and similar dark eyes, and similar dark frown.
"What are you doing?!??!"
