Light Switches

I have a theory that the people who decided it would be a good idea to place the light switch outside a room live by themselves. All it accomplishes is placing way to much unnecessary trust in another human.

Placing a light switch outside of bathrooms is even worse. Although is is usually the bathroom that might have a light switch outside, if you're taking a sh*t or taking a shower, you can't exactly just get up/out and turn on the lights yourself. This gives your siblings/roommates, who may want to annoy you, way too much power.

Although it is ment to protect us as electricity and water don't mix, just don't touch electric outlets and light switches with wet hand. As a matter of fact, don't touch anything with wet hands as it'll just cause a mess. If you have small children around, just invest in waterproof light switches.

On the other hand, something that just makes no sense at all are light switches outside of houses that can control lights that are inside the house. I can't even begin to comprehend the iq levels required to make such a decision. No benefits whatsoever and if it rains, the chance to electrocute yourself. Sounds fun.
