The Next Adventure

"The girls were sucked into the Portal after you two fell unconscious. .."

My eyes widened at that piece of information and I fell silent

"...I need some time to think about this"

Minato nodded and left the room quietly

'How the hell could I let that happen? Was this my fault?!'

I sighed and shook my head "I should be focusing on healing myself right now.."

And so the next few days were filled with me and Nanami slowly healing my body

Nanami was correct in her assumption, and I was up within a day and a half thanks to Kimio focusing on healing me

I had apparently been out for a week before that however, and Kimio was the only thing that kept me alive..

Right now, I was standing tall in front of the portal, the whole village facing me

"As you all know. I'm going to be leaving for the foreseeable future" I could sense the sadness that radiated off the crowd

I had essentially protected them myself for the past 6 years or so, so it was understandable that they'd not want to see me leave

"Don't be sad! I won't be gone forever! This world will eventually see my return"

That slightly placated the crowd

I turned to the main circle that was gathered to my left

"You guys make sure to take care of this place, alright?" I told them

Hashirama and Tobirama came up and patted my shoulder "We will do our best Jack"

Mito came up and wrapped me in a big hug "You better come back, you hear me?"

I nodded and she pulled away. I think I could see a tear in her eyes

Yahiko and Nagato were next, and they both gave me a Man Hug

"We'll miss you Bro!" Yahiko shouted with tears streaming down his face, Nagato nodding right beside him

I shook my head with a smile, waving them off

Nanami was next, arms folded

"You better bring those girls back, you hear me?!" She yelled and glared

I sighed tiredly and nodded

Natasha was next, giving me a small hug

"You better kick everyone in this next worlds asses, Jack" She grumbled

I laughed and nodded

Minato, Itachi, and Shinji came last

"So uh... This is it eh?" Shinj muttered, face turned downwards

"What are you talking about? You three are coming with me!"

They immediately had stars in their eyes, going from sad to happy in a nanosecond

"You mean...?" Itachi questioned

I nodded with a huge grin "I need my best friends at the very least, right?"

"YEAH! ALRIGHT!!" Minato immediately jumped up and started cheering

I sighed and shook my head "Go and get your stuff you three"

They nodded, Minato and Shinji flashing off and Itachi using his newly obtained Kamui from his EMS

They appeared a few seconds later with a bag full of scrolls

"..That was fast" I took the bags from them and threw em in my inventory

"Here" I handed them three earpieces that I bought from the system "If we get split up, this will allow us contact with each other" They took them and put them on their ears

I turned around to the crowd one last time

"See you later everyone!"

The four of us hopped into the portal, one by one

When the last bit of us went through, the rift closed up behind us

"I hope they will be ok..."

The interior of the portal was weird

It was like I was on some sort of Psychedelic, the colors and patterns were that similar

I looked around me and didn't see Itachi, Shinji nor Minato beside me

"Shit..."

The tunnel around me suddenly tightened and closed around me, squeezing me tightly

"Gah!"

It kept up until I couldn't bear it anymore and blacked out, the pressure leaving me at the same time

For one Taiyang Xiao Long, it was a nice day

He was sitting out on the porch, enjoying the peacefulness

There hadn't been any Grimm attacks in quite some time, the temperature was nice and the sun was shining brightly

Everything was quite normal, to be honest

...That was until a giant portal opened in the sky, followed by a small body falling to the grounds below, about a mile from the house

*BOOOOMMM!!*

A large crater of dust suddenly formed from the impact the body made, along with a shock wave that rocked his home slightly

"What the hell was that?!"

Walking up to the crater with his weapon drawn, he was ready for anything

The crater was almost 50 meters wide, and 5 deep. The inside was still dancing with dust so he couldn't see anything

Walking down the side of the hole, he got a better look at what caused the damage

"...A Child?!"

He was shocked. How could a mere child of 4-5 years of age cause this much damage

Upon examining the body, he found it battered and wounded

'Torn stomach lining.. three broken ribs.. a shattered tibia..'

"Ive gotta take this boy to a doctor.."

He picked the boy up on his shoulder and began his walk to town

"Hopefully Summer can handle Yang and Ruby right now..."
