Remo felt like he has been pushed into a corner, even though his Garchomp is clearly levels above his opponent's pokemon it was still struggling.
Remo needs to find a way to overcome this annoying strategy that Julian has introduced into the battlefield.
Remo then suddenly thought of something and called for a Sand Storm. Listening to the order, Mega Garchomp roared causing the wind to go wild and sand engulfing the whole battlefield, soon anyone watching the battle couldn't see anything going on the battlefield.
Remo wants to completely cut off Dragalge's vision so he cannot see Garchomp's attack, Garchomp on the other hand thrives inside a Sand Storm, and with its ability Sand Force which it got after mega evolving, its ground, rock, and steel type moves will increase in power.
Garchomp's vision wasn't obstructed by the Sand Storm, its gaze was locked on to Dragalge.
Dragalge found it really hard to look around, his surrounding was covered with sands violently flying around, he could only see about a meter away from him and everything was just blurry.
As a pokemon that mostly thrives underwater, being right in the middle of a sand storm is never advantageous to Dragalge.
Seeing that its opponent has finally been compromised, Garchomp got excited.
Julian also kept a close eye on what is happening on the battlefield, like everyone his vision was also compromised but he could still figure out where his Dragalge is and where his opponent's pokemon is as well.
Now it's up to Julian to guide Dragalge on the battlefield, till now Dragalge had relied on his vision to move around and anticipate every move from Garchomp but now that his vision has been compromised he has to rely on Julian.
This is where a trainer needs to step up and prove that he is not just a trainer with a strong pokemon, he needs to show that he can guide his pokemons out of their predicament.
Remo "Garchomp, use Dragon Pulse"
Remo ordered. Remo is now being careful about it, he doesn't want his Garchomp to get close to Dragalge and risk him escaping again, and getting close to Dragalge might expose Garchomp's position on the battlefield.
During the sand storm, all of Dragalge's senses are cut off, he can't hear his opponent, he can't see his opponent, he can't sense his opponent, right now Dragalge is in a vulnerable state.
Hearing Remo's command Garchomp charged up a Dragon Pulse and blasted it towards Dragalge.
Julian [Move to the right]
While Dragalge couldn't see his opponent, Julian could see him and he stepped forward to command Dragalge out of trouble.
Hearing Julian's voice inside his head, Dragalge moved to the side and dodged the Dragon Pulse, as Dragalge dodged the Dragon Pulse, he quickly turned towards the direction from where it came from and shot his own Dragon Pulse towards Garchomp.
Remo was surprised by what happened, even though it was a blur he could tell that Dragalge dodged that Dragon Pulse and countered with its own.
Remo "Counter with Dragon Pulse!"
Remo shouted. Garchomp saw the incoming Dragon Pulse and blasted its own towards it, the Dragon Pulse collided creating a massive shockwave, the power behind this shockwave was enough to completely remove the sand storm.
This is what Julian wanted, he didn't expect Remo to make a mistake this early, by making two powerful moves collide, the energy generated should be enough to get rid of the Sand Storm.
Julian had planned to annoy his opponent and his pokemon so they would directly counter his Dragalge's attack and they just did that.
While the Sand Storm got cleared, the exchange between Dragalge and Garchomp has not ended, the two Dragon Pulses kept trying to get the upper hand.
Dragalge was using all his power and tried his best to push back Garchomp while Garchomp has not fully used its power yet.
Remo "Full power!"
He shouted. Since the Sand Storm has been removed, he can now only rely on the Dragon Pulse right now, as soon as Garchomp got the instruction, it went all out and suddenly the size of its Dragon Pulse increased and started to blast through Dragalge's.
Julian "Give up, there is no use to hold on, use Aqua Tail and get out of there".
Julian ordered. Dragalge suddenly stopped his Dragon Pulse and used Aqua Tail to get out of the way, Garchomp's Dragon Pulse then completely overpowered the remaining Dragon Pulse from Dragalge in the air and smashed into the inner walls of the stadium which caused the protective barrier of the stadium to activate and protect the people behind it.
Julian "Icy Wind"
As Dragalge made some distance Julian called for an Icy Wind, he has been on defense for too long, and now it's time to finish this battle, and to do that he needs to take a big risk by exposing his Dragalge by going on the offense.
Dragalge used Icy Wind blasting cold air towards Garchomp, the freezing wind rushed towards Garchomp and started to freeze everything around it, Garchomp suddenly became sluggish as the coldness started to affect it.
Since it's four times weak to icy type moves the damage dealt was enough to put Garchomp in a disadvantageous position.
It also dealt a heavy blow as well, though a weak move compared to other ice-type moves, it was still very effective against Garchomp.
Garchomp's legs went weak as the cold attacked its whole body, its joins started to feel the pain, no matter how strong a pokemon is, once its legs are compromised it will go down.
