Kraken I

I heaved a sigh of relief at seeing the critters disappearing and closed my eyes.

I took a deep breath and controlled my body to rest maximum. I also sharpened my sense to hear the slightest sound around me.

I didn't want to get killed while I had my eyes closed.

I had opened my eyes fifty-eight seconds later. Thankfully, nobody tried to kill me.

I looked at others; there were only thirteen of us remained for this challenge.

The critters have made half of our numbers disappear.

However, the ones that had remained were strong and capable. There is no single person, among the thirteen, who had reached this far because of sheer luck.

The challenges here are such that. They removed the luck factor, leaving on the capable.
