Welcome to Origin

Alabaster outstretched his hand towards the now singular, bloody entity and tightly grasped it. Despite his expectations, the orb felt warm, not warm like bath water but, warm like his wrist, it was a strangely comforting sensation.

[Thorne Dynasty Bloodline

Composition: Sky Emperor

Description: A Dynasty formed via luck]

The plate in front of him had changed slightly, the bloodline name, composition and description had all slightly, but with massive effects, changed.

"A more pleasing description I suppose", he muttered, "Blood Space."

The dim, red space began to writhe and deform, it's crimson light quickly purifying and shattering, the tightly weaved, tendon-like structure of a shell began to unwind and flow back into the earth: like snakes made of molten pumice flowing into their nests and burrows, leaving no trace of their existences left on the sprouting grass underfoot.

"Say, where am I in the Bloodline Realm, System", Alabaster inquired whilst glancing around the valley.

[You are currently in the Iron Valley; the Iron Valley is well known for its Metal aspected flora and fauna, for more information use the "Map" command]

"Hmm, I'll save that for a later date", replied Alabaster. He slyly looked at two of the Bison that were clashing horns, sparks flying with each smash, "How do I obtain new bloodlines?"

[Simply killing a creature with a rank Bloodline]

"' Simply' may be the wrong word, but I suppose I can try", Alabaster began to flap his wide, newly sprouted wings to survey for the moment to strike, the wind started to heavily churn as if to carry him to the sky. He began to hover at his apex, watching the bison below like a looming herald of calamity; stone in hand, he watched for a bison to become weak enough from its rutting so that he could swoop in and claim its life with the slim, jagged grey rock.

Finally, exhausted, one of the mud grey bison separated from the herd to rest its injuries. Alabaster dove, rock first, straight down from above the bison; his wings firmly and completely covered his body, he seemed like a piece of the heavens was falling to smite the unaware bison.

The Air commenced congealing around him, swirling from his 'blade' to his feet painting a beautiful picture of danger and death.

[New Move created, Name?]

*Slikkk*

The bison's head flew, mangled, from its now pulped body. Alabaster withdrew his hand from the slush that was formerly the bison.

"How do I take its bloodline?", he asked whilst scrambling to find something that would seem to allow him to take its bloodline, he had noticed that the herd was paying him more and more attention.

[Find it's Blood Orb and crush it; Host still needs to name Move.]

"Um, name it 'Skyfall Dance', god where is this orb!", he stated whilst digging his hands into the body of the fallen bison, still glancing at the herd of bison gearing to attack

[Move 'Skyfall Dance' created, Steel Bison Bloodline found]

"Thank you so much!", he shouted out whilst taking off to the skies, as the Steel bison began to charge after him.

He commenced his search for a place to wait out the silver storm that was focused on him. "Wait, what are those", Alabaster had noticed the valley walls were covered in pockmark like scars that dug deep into the rock and exposed many unusual ores.

"The Steel Bison herd won't be able to reach me there", he affirmed his decision and changed course to reach the caves. After a minute or two of flying, he finally set his feet down on to the uneven earth. In front of him lay a nest. Not a small nest like a blackbird's or a wren's, no, this was a behemoth in comparison, it was formed from smaller trees that lightly dotted the floor below, it was taller than Alabaster himself and filled the entire back end of the cave; the air had an unusual harshness to it, it was like iron filings were rushing around the cave whilst a grey light dimly pierced through the thin gaps in the nest.

"Seems important to me.", he thought, greed lighting up in his eyes as he wondered what magical bloodline or treasure was contained within.

Greed overcame him.

He hadn't even thought what dangers lied within. He used a quick run up and a jump using the Air element that he had begun to become accustomed to, grasping onto the top of the nest he used his limited and instinctual knowledge of the Air element to lightly push himself over the tall nest wall. He finally landed at the bottom of the nest, the object inside surprised him slightly.

It was an egg.

Now an egg wasn't surprising in its self, but this egg was strange, it was around the size of an ostrich egg and shined a dim, metallic grey light. "I might as well try to get at least get an omelette out of it". He moved forward, his face showing obvious disappointment.

*Skreee*

"Will you just let me eat for one MINUTE", he cursed at the large silver, statue-like creature flying towards him at a meandering pace (possibly due to its completely metal body), "I'm NOT leaving this behind", he grasped the cold, grey and surprisingly heavy egg in his hand.

[Conquer Damascus Hawk Nest [Inactive]?]

"Sure, sure.", he hurriedly responded, hope glimmering in his eyes.

[Damascus Hawk Nest conquered]

The violent bird that was beginning to swoop for the kill suddenly ceased its maddened attack against him and returned to a hidden alcove in the cave ceiling, presumably to rest. "I assume that was a Damascus Hawk?"

[No, that was a Den Guardian that took the form of a Damascus Hawk.]

"What's a Den Guardian?"

[Short or long answer?]

He looked around the barren nest, "I've got time"

[A Den Guardian is a spiritual construct designed to protect a nest or den. It is formed through a bloody and dangerous ritual requiring the willing souls and bodies of at least one thousand healthy tribe members; should even one member be unwilling; the ritual will fail and form a malevolent spirit]

"I assume the den guardian is strong, if so, why is the nest so barren?"

[The Den Guardian cannot leave the nest territory; the tribe was most likely killed outside of their territory]

"How saddening; what is the egg by the way"

[The egg is the centre of the Den and controls all structures as well as collects data on the Den; it is considered [Inactive] due to it lacking any creatures to support it, however, this may benefit host as its natural defences are down and can thus have the spawned creature changed]

"How do I do this?"

[Enter the blood space whilst holding the core]

"Blood space", he said with the egg still held in his hand. The now-familiar tendrils began to swarm around him tighten themselves into a crimson shell and form the misty space within. He looked around to see whether changes had occurred inside of the space; the only noticeable one was an extra two entities floating in the mist, one was the grey egg that he'd brought in with him, the other was a hardened ball of blood, "Thank god it's here", he felt as if the weight of the world was lifted from his chest seeing that the bison bloodline had been collected. "Now, on to the main event". He cupped the silver egg in his left hand and moved towards his bloodline until they made contact.

[Neutralise?]

"Yes.", changes began to occur in the space; the egg now had a red flood corrupting through it, like a blight it quickly spread across the egg's surface, swiftly purging the grey light glowing from the egg.

[Neutralisation complete.]

"Blood Space", as the tendrils uncoiled themselves Alabaster sat down on the nest floor and looked the now white egg, "How do I reactivate this?"

[In the same way, you command the crystal, command the core to activate]

Alabaster set down the core in the centre of the former nest and shouted for the hub to activate

[Please name the new Human settlement]

"Sky Village? No, no, Cave Town?", Alabaster began spouting names, none of which he considered satisfactory, "I've got it! Name the town 'Origin'"

[Name accepted]

As the System announced the founding of his new settlement, the nest began to rearrange itself into a few wooden hovels with an ever so slightly larger hut in the centre; these huts were simple: unrefined trees (so unrefined you could see the leaves and bark) formed into a basic tent-like shape supported by loose and fallen rocks.

After the final tent had formed, three blurry lights shone out, quickly forming more distinctive, human shapes. The lights suddenly disappeared and, in their place, sat three people: the first was a stout, hairy man who wore blackened linen trousers, a significantly less blackened jaundiced-looking linen shirt and a faded red apron. To his side sat a lightly plump, fair-haired woman wearing flamboyantly coloured clothing equipped with a pair of glimmering scissors and a pouch filled with a myriad of threads. Finally, there was a large, muscular woman covered in coal soot and scars, equipped with a large pickaxe and hammer.

"We hope to of use to the chief"
