Arrived early on the spot

Summer season sprinkled radiance and lightened the place, elevating its natural charm.

The students accompanied by the staff reached early, to their destination. The memorial state park is located up north of the New York City and welcomed the teenagers with its surreal scenic beauty. The place surrounded by its greenery picturesque.

Fresh air and welcoming atmosphere filled the students with excitement as they all can hardly wait to explore. The park spreads across acres of land with numerous campsites, trails, beach, and picnic areas. The park is said to hold abundant opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, hunting, birding, and boating.

Despite the various changes available to explore, the kids have already explained about their trip details. The sheet of paper had an itinerary drafted.

Seth, the person in charge of the entire trip, along with other staffs, had sought help from the nearby education center that provides guides to help out during the trip.

They all arrived in their school's transportation and had checked in to the accommodation which reserved rooms for the students beforehand.

The main lobby got invaded by the students with gradually increasing noise pollution. Seth noticed the concerned look on everyone working at the building. Students can be a pretty handful to control.

"Look how noisy it became within a few seconds after arrival," Bridgette observed and watched her classmates go crazy with the entire trip.

It was not all easy in her case. Ivy had to be stubborn for Bridgette to accept. Carmel and Sara have already invited her to the trip from their end, but it was Ivy's peer pressure that Bridgette couldn't escape from, and ended up agreeing.

"Woah, looks pretty interesting, why did we never come here before?" Lillian asked Diego.

The trio and their families would often take trips traveling the outskirts of the city, finding a place to do fishing and campaigning.

"I have no idea, but my dad said he came here with Edwin back in the days for a short hiking trip."

"What?" Anna blew from the news.

"I never heard this before from the fathers!!!" Anna revealed.

"I never heard it too until last night," Lillian followed.

"Dad came up to me last night and told me to go to certain places and had warned me to be careful about the trails as one small change in the lane could get us lost completely.

Lillian's information received attention from others when everyone joined in together to discuss the trails. Not all, but many parents of the kids are aware of the park and had advised their kids regarding the tour.

They were all eager to share details and discuss the places secretly to go and have some fun. Seeing them muttering to each other enthusiastically, troubled Seth, he stepped forward to speak up.

"Calm down, young people,"

"I know this place is huge for you all to get intimidated and having the urge to explore. However, you need to chill out because we're staying here for four days. We don't want to piss off the people who work here."

"Slow down your excitement."

"We've just arrived today. I don't want the unnecessary diversion. If I find one, then be prepared to face severe consequences."

Seth's words have accomplished its purpose, warning the students and keep them under his control. Seth was chosen to be in charge because the kids fear him amongst all the staff. His word has an ultimate ruling, and there is no cross-talk.

"Yes, Mr. Seth," the kids chorused their answer.

"Good, it's time to pick roommates now."

"You have all been given a small piece of paper with a number on it. Check it out and gather according to it."

"Now-"

Seth hesitated before continuing, "I will give you all five minutes time frame. I'm not going to question what you do in during that time, but at the end of five minutes, I want you guys to be in pairs accordingly. Else, you will be sent back to school and have to attend, special classes without fail instead of this trip."

"Did I make myself clear?" Seth charged strictly with the kids.

Despite his instincts to keep the students on the check, he was also directed, by the principal, Mr. Clarence to be extra strict to avoid any problem.

Before starting their ride to the park, each of the students was asked to choose a piece of paper with a number on it, a number accompanied by a letter that pairs up two students to share a room.

No one is allowed to switch the number for the rest of the trip. However, that doesn't leave some kids to go change it up with the person they prefer. As soon as they heard to form a group of two with the given paper, the kids caused an uproar. It is evident that some didn't like the pair they ended up with, and so they were swapping with classmates.

Seth ignored the commotion happening in front of him and carefully watched the time ticking away.

After several minutes of chaos, the students ended up in pairs within the given time limit.

"Finally now that you've ended up with a pair, make sure to follow it strictly till the end. If I find anyone changing it in the future-"

"Be ready to face the severe consequence!"

The statement became the law for the students to know their limits. All nodded in agreement, and soon, they were sent to their respective rooms to rest.

"I thought, you would ask me to swap with you," Anna commented while organizing her things.

"Nah, I'm happy with the current outcome," Lillian Grey responded casually.

"Giselle?" Lillian called.

Giselle turned to face Lillian, "Yes?"

"Anna's a great partner. You will have fun, but you can't forget about me, okay?" Lillian warned in a grave tone enough to make the girl agree without hesitation.

"Stop it, Lilly."

"I won't keep her to myself, alright?"

"You can chill out; feel free to kidnap your damsel anytime you want. I wouldn't even care if she's with you!"

Lillian giggled from Anna's comment as they both shared a victory sign between as an agreement. Giselle arrested on her spot, stunned.

"I'm not an object to own," Giselle declared.

"We know," both Anna and Lillian replied at the same time, startling Giselle.

Giselle and Anna naturally became roommates, while Lillian got paired up with another girl from her class. Anna expected Lillian to swap with her for the sake of Giselle, but to her surprise, Lillian didn't react. She appeared casual and relaxed.

As soon as they were told to accommodate their rooms, Lillian went in and threw her bag into her side and came out rushing over to Anna and Giselle's.

She walked in without knocking and went over, to lay down on Anna's bed comfortable feeling as if it's her place. Anna initially spanked her to get off as the original residents of the room were busy arranging their things, but Lillian escaped all of the physical violence. She ended up being transported, to Giselle's bed where she can't be forced to leave. Giselle is too sweet to everyone. She wouldn't do the same things as Anna did to Lillian Grey.

"So, what are we doing next?" Anna inquired.

"Diego got paired up with Josh, you know. It seems he bought basketball to play."

Lillian was texting simultaneously with Diego to know about his room.

"Do you think we should crash at Diego's place?" Lillian suggested a disastrous idea.

"What?" Giselle roared in shock.

"Don't worry, Giselle, she is like that."

"-and you! Stop messing with him," Anna warned.

"What? Why?"

"I love teasing Diego. He enjoys it as well," Lillian spoke for her side.

"Only until he hates it," Anna replied.

"Nope, Diego will never hate no matter what I do to him," Lillian conceded proudly.

"Alright, fine, you two soul mates, leave us alone."

"Go to your room and arrange your things. You came directly after throwing your bags, right?" Anna urged Lillian to leave.

For once, Lillian agreed and left their room.

"Okay, okay! Call me if something happens," Lillian signed goodbyes.

She went back in and saw her roommate neatly unpacked her belongings while Lillian's bags were on the floor. With no energy to spare, Lillian fell on her bed and soon went to slumber.
