Please Tell Me That It's Just A Joke!

It was a horror movie..

Ellen had imagined them watching a romantic movie together but at last, it turned out that the movie that Song Xia wanted to watch was a famous horror film that had aired recently.

He suddenly regretted coming here and wondered if he could still turn back and return to his company for work instead of going inside to experience hell..

When they were little, Tang Yan often dressed up as a ghost to scare him. This left a bad trauma on Ellen..

Seeing that he didn't come inside even after a long time, Song Xia came out and instantly spotted him trying to run away.

She speechlessly dragged him inside because the movie was just about to start.

Poor Ellen could only watch as he was forcefully pulled inside by Song Xia as they made their way towards their seats..

Before he could say anything, Song Xia hushed him, "Shh! The movie is starting soon! Keep your mouth shut!"

Right after she said that, the movie started. Song Xia quickly focused her eyes and mind on the big screen while munching the popcorn.

Ellen sighed and started brainwashing himself.

'Ellen, you're a grown man! These type of movies are just fictional! You don't have to be so scared! It's all just nonsense; nothing about this is real!'

Thinking that, his tensed up body relaxed a little.

But the next moment, he was dumbstruck, seeing the words on the screen: [This movie is based on a true story.]

Immediately, his mind blanked out. 'True story?!! Please tell me that it's a joke!'

Ellen took a deep breath and calmed himself down.

'Calm down, Ellen. Even if it's a real story, it can't be that scary, right?'

Just as he finished his thoughts, the setting of the place in the screen suddenly changed into a dark jungle and howls of wolf resounded.

Following which, screams of a girl pierced throughout the whole hall; making everyone's scalp turn numb.

Ellen felt a chill run down his spine.

He suddenly had a very bad premonition in his heart which proved to be rather right because after that, suddenly a scary face jumped towards the screen.

"AHH!!" Ellen was scared to death as he shouted at the top of his lungs.

When he came back to his senses, he noticed that everyone's sharp eyes were on him. Ellen nearly wanted to smack himself!

Because he was so scared, he had actually screamed out of fright which garnered everyone's attention on him.

Fortunately, after giving him odd looks, the audience just turned back and focused on the screen again.

Song Xia's brows were creased as she pinched his arm, "Why were you screaming so loudly earlier? Remember that we're in public right now! Don't embarrass me as well as yourself!"

Upon hearing her words, Ellen flushed red in embarrassment.

Luckily, the lights in the theatre was very dim to create a mysterious and scary vibe for the audience.

So Song Xia didn't notice his bashfulness. Otherwise, she would've already mocked him to death.

Ellen regained his composure and forced himself to maintain a calm expression on the outside.

At the beginning, he had been too scared to watch the movie but after a while, he began to feel interested instead.

No wonder the film had superb ratings and immediately broke into success right after it aired.

Whether it was the storyline, or the acting of the characters or the directory of the film; everything was perfect.

Though it was very scary, it was exciting and amusing at the same time.

After the movie finished, the audience left the theatre hall one by one as they chatted about the film.

Judging from their expression, everyone seemed to have loved it. Even Song Xia was non-stop chattering on and on about how heroic the female lead was, how cool the ghost was, and blah blah.

Ellen suddenly noticed that Song Xia had already finished all of the food they bought and instantly began suspecting whether she was a pig.

She actually finished that much snacks without his assistance!

He was wondering if he should be happy that the snacks were not wasted or worried how Song Xia ate everything up even after having such a big feast in the morning.

Song Xia and Ellen were walking side by side as they made their ways out of the theatre hall.

Just then, Song Xia accidentally bumped into a small kid. She quickly squatted down to help the little kid up.

Upon seeing the familiar face of the kid, Song Xia was taken aback.

'B-Brother Yong?'
