A WORTHY GIFT

The meeting did not go as Yagi Seiryo expected. He thought that the woman was going to make unreasonable demands and attempt to take over the yakuza. He would not have been surprised if she did.

Over the years, he thought the underground criminal forces in Japan would use force and threats to annex the yakuza. He was always on the edge after he became the leader of the families, strategizing on protecting his people. 

However, after a while, he realised that the strange and powerful man had no interest in their little group. If anything, the man seemed detached from the internal struggles in the country and the city. While he did do some business in the area, he had his people. 

Over time, Yagi got comfortable enough to work without fear. 

The change of leadership in that organisation made him afraid again. The yakuza might not have had a draw for that man, but his successor could be different. She might see the group as a fat piece of meat.
