He's back

Both Kai Xin and Phantom rolled their eyes. They had heard that phrase a million times.

"By the way, that K Holdings. How was their acquisition going?" Ghost asked. His expression made him seemed like he was asking it for the sake of making conversation and that he had zero interest in the topic.

Kai Xin narrowed her eyes. She had never told him about the acquisition.

He raised a brow at her as he brought the scotch to his mouth, "Surprised? It wasn't like you know nothing about my ability."

She recounted the process to him, "They are planning to keep the entire core team."

"Is it the core team that they want…" Ghost asked and glanced at Phantom, "Or our dear ZiYan here?"

Phantom rolled his eyes when he heard his real name coming out from Ghost's mouth. It had been a while since he heard it from either of them

Kai Xin was slightly stunned, "How did you know? Did you plan this?"

Ghost shrugged, "It doesn't matter."

He turned to Phantom and added, "Join their team, but give them a little trouble at first. Get as much money out of it as you can."

"I don't need you to remind me." Phantom said, his voice indicating that he knew this was coming.

He was slightly surprised when his boss told him that he would be selling IT Ltd to K Holdings, given their achievements the past few years.

But given that he only joined IT Ltd because of Ghost's suggestion, he knew that this day would come sooner or later.

Ghost would never suggest them to do anything that would not benefit any of them.

Ghost ignored the curious look in the eyes of his teammates. He had planned for Phantom to join IT Limited 6 years ago when he was just a fresh graduate.

He knew that Callum Shenlong Xun, the sworn brother of DX, had his eyes on Phantom and told him to reject the generous offer of K Holdings.

Phantom had always followed Ghost's orders. Despite being one of the best hackers in the underground world, Phantom knew that his intelligence level is nowhere near the man sitting in front of him.

Ghost's carefree manner bellied a fearsome manipulative monster and it scared him sometimes.

Yet, despite knowing the true nature of Ghost, Phantom and Kai Xin had never doubted him. After all, Ghost was the first person to reach out to them and gave them the will to keep living.

When Kai Xin picked up her bag and was about to leave, Ghost called out to her.

She turned and raised a brow at him. "What?"

The two men glanced at each other for a second before Ghost said hesitatingly, "One more thing..."

She frowned at their suspicious behavior. "What the hell are you two up to? What now?"

Ghost looked at her in the eyes and said , "He's back."

Inside a satin grey BMW M4 GTS, Han Ye watched as Kai Xin walked out of the bar and into a cab outside. At that particular moment, he had a lot of questions that were running through his mind.

Initially, he had been worried about her and had followed her to ensure her safety. He planned to leave after she arrived safely at home.

They have a no drugs policy and anyone caught selling or using would be ban for life.

Initially, Han Ye had dismissed it as nothing more than a favorite hangout but he wondered if he should update his data now.

He started his car and on the way back to the office, he told himself to dig deeper into her background.
