Take care my little angel

When Angela returned, she saw that everyone had a slice of pizza on their hands. Clueless of the occasion she went to Lira's table and gave her drink before asking.

"Ma'am Lira is there any occasion that we are celebrating?"

"Nothing much! It's just that Sir Michael was impressed with the report I presented, so he rewarded me."

Recalling the report that she sent to her, Angela flinched when she remembered that it was her who should be praised by her boss.

But being an intern, she cannot say anything.

Wednesday.

Zoey was off today as she is accompanying her mom to the hospital. Like, as you grow older you have to undergo a lot of tests to ensure that your body is healthy and away from any illnesses.

It was an emergency leave for her because her mom asked her last night. Imagine, Zoey was about to close her eyes when her phone rang.

Due to tiredness, she didn't check who it was. Zoey answered instantly when pressed the button of her phone. "Hello" in her sleepy voice.

It has been three weeks after she moved into her condo unit. The weekend she transferred her things, start the miseries she had to endure to keep her job.

Knowing that her boss was living across her, Zoey has to be a little nicer to Nickel every time they see each other.

For example the day her dad helped her to move. Who in their right mind will wear gym shorts and loose Sando, on broad daylight?

Zoey came out first on the elevator while pulling her two luggage. It was just her normal and casual clothes but still looks like it will explode the next moment she pulled it.

Her dad, who is following her, carried her office attires luggage and shoe box.

WTH Zoey how many sets of attires do you need?

"Honey, are you sure you didn't bring all your stuff at home? Are you planning to abandon us again? Why are there so many clothes that you brought?"

"Dad it wasn't even the half of all the clothes I have. Don't worry I won't abandon you. Hahaha!"

But before Zoey stepped her foot out of the elevator, a man in gym shorts and lose Sando appeared her sight.

"Hey, Zoey! Oh! Let me help you with that!" Nickel took on her luggage and help Mr. Alcantara with Zoey's shoe box.

Impressed with this youngster, Mr. Alcantara thanked him for his kindness. "Thank you, lad! Anyway, have we met before? You look familiar."

Of course, Nickel remembered Mr. Alcantara, so he said, "I'm Zoey's COO at ASC and also we meet before during Leo and Shane's wedding."

"Oh yeah! I remember." Delighted with their meeting Mr. Alcantara invited the lad inside his daughter's unit.

"Young man, what is your name, again?"

"Sir, it's Nicanor Fuentes but you can call me Nickel." Nickel rarely used his real first name, because for him 'Nicanor' is an old fashion name that his parents' loved and gave him.

"Call me Uncle Zander, can you please help my daughter for a while, I will get Happy and her other things in the car."

He placed her shoe box near the entrance door and her luggage near one of the rooms.

After being left alone. Zoey shyly thanked him with a 'sir' to address him, for helping them out.

Irritated by her for calling him 'sir'. Nickel flashed his hidden weapon, his seductive smile, and said, "It's a babe for you, my dear."

Zoey gave him a sour face when suddenly she remembered something after he mentioned the word "babe".

"Hey! Would you please refrain yourself from calling me 'babe'? My dad won't like to see that you're the guy who called me babe during that wedding. Uhm he was agitated that time."

Moreover, as Nickel really wanted to build a good relation to his future father-in-law. He zipped his mouth and just asked her to call him Nickel instead of a babe.

When Mr. Alcantara returned, Nickel helped him arrange everything. From her kitchen utensils and kitchenware to her other stuff. Nickel was almost an angel sent from heaven to Mr. Alcantara. Without him, he might return to the Alcantara Residence with a broken back and body.

"Nickel I would like to thank you for helping this old man, and as a sign of my gratitude I'm inviting you to our home." Mr. Alcantara wanted to return the favor to Nickel, so he invited him to their house after they finished arranging everything to his daughter.

"That was too much Mr. Alcantara. Don't mention it, it was just I'm free today that's why lend a hand to my staff." Actually, Nickel was itching to say yes, but he still needs to turn down his offer because though he needs to show a little shame within him.

"Uncle Zander. Call me, Uncle Zander. I will ask Zoey to bring you home in the future."

Zoey, on the other hand, lost her mind after her dad started inviting him for a meal at their house. She was distancing herself to her boss but why was her father messing with her.

"Dad, Mr. Fuentes is a very busy person. Let's not disturb him from time to time. Okay, dad?"

Agitated with Zoey's remarks, Nickel swallowed his shyness and burst out, "No it's okay Zoey. I like to share meals with your father."

Satisfied with the outcome of his invitation, Mr. Alcantara left the building after he bid goodbye to his girl.

"I'll repeat lock your doors and double check your gas tank every night. Take care, my little angel."
