Inheritance

Li Yan finally felt free after knowing that she is finally free from her family. She then thought for a while and started writing. Elder Wen looked at his granddaughter who is in good spirits with a smile on his face.

' Grandpa, I am taking all my shares from Father.'

" Why? What do you need money for now?" Elder Wen was puzzled and Li Yan rolled her eyes at him ' From where will I buy Phenomenal Studios then?'

" Silly girl.." Elder Wen smiled " Your uncle left it for you. It's your inheritance from him."

Now, Li Yan was surprised. Her uncle left it for her.. In the past, before joining in her father's company she wrote some songs for them. But after joining there due to the contract she could not help. Phenomenal Studios is only a start up at that time. So, it did not last for long.

" So, just keep those shares. Sell them later only after making sure that you are not being subjected to any losses." Elder Wen's face had a sly smile.

' Of course, I will.. I will use my savings and start the company again.' both Elder Wen and Zhuang Mei looked at her with a probing expression.

Both sighed on seeing that she was completely serious about it.

' What? Do you expect me to just sit around? I will show that this accident can do nothing to me.' Elder Wen nodded but he was still worried about her health. She is weak and she really can't handle everything on her own. Zhuang Mei and her cannot do it. May be he should look for another assistant.

" And what are you going to do with it? There are only a few rookie singers left in there." Zhuang Mei really wanted to know what Li Yan planned.

' I may have lost my voice and that is not enough to stop me. I still have my brain and hands..'

" So, you are going to write songs now.. " Zhuang Mei was pleasantly surprised. So, this is how Li Yan looks when she fights back. She was impressed.

Li Yan nodded and she had decided on her first singer.

" Sister.. " The trio in the room raised their heads only to see a young man holding a huge bag in his arms. The bag is so huge that his upper body is not visible.

" Min Zuo, what on did you bring?" Zhuang Mei face-palmed and Elder Wen raised his brows in amusement.

" Sis, eat all these and cheer up.." Li Yan looked at the heap of caramel chocolates and smiled happily. She immediately grabbed the cover and placed it beside her bed. She then opened a wrapper and shoved the chocolate into his mouth. Min Zuo was frozen silly. He blinked his eyes to make sure if the lively person before him was Li Yan or not.

Then, he grinned widely as he was happy on seeing this change. But, he didn't know that he was the main reason for her change. And, he did not know that this simple act of his will change his life for greater good.

Li Yan started writing all the while eating the chocolates.

' Min Zuo, did your agency start your vocal training?'

Min Zuo's smile froze and he shook his head. What vocal training? They are making him do work like an errand boy.

' Then leave that agency.'

" But sis, no other recording studios are willing to accept me." Min Zuo had that thought several times, but it's not like he had many options to choose from. So, he had to stay there and wait for a chance. Every dog has it's day! Yup, he completely related himself to that proverb.

' Then come to Phenomenal studios.'

Min Zuo had a puzzled expression on his face. Phenomenal studios went bankrupt a long time ago. Is his sister kidding him now?

' I am starting it again..'

Min Zuo knitted his brows and stared at the book in her hand. He then slapped his face to make sure that he is not imagining things. Then his face had an incredulous expression as he whispered due to his shock " Sister, so you are saying that you will train me."

Li Yan nodded at him making him squeal out of joy.

" Sister, just prepare a contract for me and I will sign it right way."

' Just calm down. I will inform you when everything is ready. I will officially start everything when I get discharged from here.'

Min Zuo nodded his head like a pecking hen.

' And in the mean time, prepare for the audition. I want to hear an original. If I am not impressed I will kick you out.'

Min Zuo clutched his chest in an exaggerated fashion. But, Li Yan and Zhuang Mei ignored him.

" Young lad, work hard. Li Yan will make sure that your hard work pays off.." Elder Wen liked this cheerful young boy. Why did his granddaughter not have such a cheerful younger brother? But, anyways he is treating her as if she is his blood related sister. This made his worried heart calm down.

Elder Wen was the one who understood his granddaughter the most. Now, she's changed and she is starting to forget her past. But, at what cost?

She was similar to him in many ways. She faced betrayal from her family, whereas he was betrayed by his first love. He only opened his heart and dropped all the barriers of his heart before the over-whelming love showed by his wife.

So, he could only hope that there will a man who will truly love Li Yan.

Now, he had an immediate task at his hand. He should hire another assistant for Li Yan. So, he bid good bye to the lively youngsters in the room and left to start his hunt.
