The singularity already burned all the remains including the food that was stored inside the farmhouse. I honestly have no idea why the singularity did that despite looking for the food they needed to survive.

I telepathically asked my brother if he knows why he did it like that and he said he understood the gist of it. But unfortunately for me, I don't think I have understood why he did it.
