Taking The Chains

"Klade, I can't believe that I would see you again and that you would become my savior in times of need."

As Ivo Rein continued, he couldn't help but glance at Davis as though gesturing for Klade to save him.

"Sigh, Feng Chu." Klade opened his mouth, shaking his head, "You should release him..."

Davis's expression frowned. However, his hands still let go of that chain as he dropped it.

"Ancestor should pay me back my one and a half million immortal crystals for this..."

"Sure, sure… just count it as one of my errands."

"Alright."

Davis perfunctorily nodded, but both were smiling at each other, and their smiles were very different from the one Ivo Rein revealed upon their exchange.

"Ah, Klade." Ivo Rein's smile was one of relief, "I always knew that I could count on you-"

However, his face couldn't help but change as he saw Klade pick up the chain that Feng Chu dropped.
