Thing I wrote in english class

The book Anthem proves that individuality is the only way people as a whole can advance as a society. This is something that the book proves because when everyone is working as a group, and they make no progress. They took 50 plus years to even have candles started to be made, and they will not change to better alternatives. This is also because of the rules that you can not be alone, and only things that all people know is true, and one other thing is that you can't talk of the Unmentionable Time. This means that everyone has to know it before it can be used to progress. So progress can only be made when independent.
