Ooh, can you return it? I didn't think so.
That often accompanies a hangover, six or more nasty messages by your girlfriend (still?) complaining about something you did, and messages from a girl that you don't remember. Then you remember what happened and consider joining the military or Peace Corps, because at least the government will pay for your funeral.
Many used tongue and groove to stay in place, with the last door having a simple hasp for a lock or a door lock. Many were later modified to have modern hinges.
10 sq. m ≈ 11.96 sq. yd ≈ 107.64 sq. ft Basically, the size of an average (children's) bedroom in North America (10×10).
What? From USC? Honestly, you have to do something pretty bad to get expelled as a freshman. Even if you suck academically and fail all your classes, they will give you at least two semesters to get to passing, which means that it won't be until your sophomore year before you will get expelled for academics.
In Chinatown? You have to be really lousy or really overpriced to not succeed as a restaurant in that area (pre-pandemic). Most closed because their kids did not want to inherit the business. If the rent suddenly jumped and they couldn't stay there, they usually moved elsewhere. In the United States, mediocre Chinese restaurants succeed because most Americans don't know what real Chinese food tastes like.
Indeed, much of Chinese mysticism is based upon heaven's will. Even the rise and fall of dynasties was based upon the Mandate of Heaven (天命). Thus fighting against the heavens is often a reference to attempting to defy a string of bad luck or a futile struggle. A person with bad luck or an ill fate can often only persist until heaven changes its mind or they borrow/steal the good fortune of others. (This is part of the good myth of adoption, bringing in good luck when the family luck is bad.) Alternatively, references to heaven might actually be something of a mistranslation or shorthand that is actually referring to the 'gods' in heaven, people so powerful that they are often considered the same as 'heaven', but actually aren't.
I'm reminded of all the times that the original story had art, but there isn't any in the version here.
It could be worse, like waking up in a bathtub of ice with a phone in your hand and a sign telling you that one of your kidneys has been removed and to call for emergency medical attention.
What do you think, genius?
