decently written story, it seems to use ai a little but not enough to be annoying.

I think it comes down to a few factors. 1. she's Satan class 2. her care takers might not allow anyone near her 3. I don't believe it was ever expressly stated where she is and 4. a queen piece should be more than just a magician, like tsubaki who uses both the rook and knight strengths aswell as the bishop strength of her queen piece. ingvild is usually shown as a pacifist with no combat knowledge, atleast that's my take on it.

Thanks for the chapter. 2 things come to mind here: 1- if d rank missions are meant to instill discipline and team work it makes zero sense for it not to be used as training in the academy with randomised teams. 2- isn't there an uzumaki shrine that has a shinigami mask that allows for summoning the shinigami without repercussions and if so couldn't the mc use it to gain the yin half of kurama?
