The author is a great storyteller. The plot is very interesting and intriguing however there are many loopholes in the story. When that happened to the FL, the story seems to only have the Leads and side character existing in the world. I want to expound my points but it woukd be too much a spoiler. Suffice it to say that I find the plot execution not logical. I try to go along with it to enjoy the story but I am highly INTJ, if you know this personality type, you would know I ponder and rationalize a lot so it's hard for me to get over loopholes when I see them. Anyway, it's still a good story and I am sure a lot of people would enjoy it.
It's very 2D. Although I'm enjoying reading it still gives me a reluctant feeling because the logic is a little forced? Like the involvement of the other characters are very minimal and only exist for the sake of the plot roling. Like the interactions between him and his family and also the villagers. His interaction with his mother is only for him to find ways to make money, same as the villagers. the peddler has more interaction with the MC than hjs family. His father was shipped to war but the MC did not worry about his father, instead be was more worried about himself. As I said, the story is very 2D. It may get boring for those who likes to have exquisite rationale and details on thier plot.
It may not be rape but it's called domestic violence. I had to skip a couple if chapters because of it. I get his recentment at the start but his actions towards her are not justifiable. Of course it became better later on but it doesn't change the fact that he mistreated her initially. That fact hovers in my mind as I continue reading the succeeding chapters. The overall plot kept me going but some chapters here and there are uncomfortable for me. But, as I said, the plot keep me going
