Lol, he only introduced himself as Arashi, yet Kuina somehow already knows his full name. You should really translate this story more carefully and avoid plot holes, especially since it's a Chinese fanfic.
I was actually looking forward to this rewrite, but it ended up being a huge disappointment. WTF, dude? A Pokémon system in One Piece? The MC can use Pokémon powers? Yeah... that's definitely not my cup of tea
It honestly gets frustrating sometimes when fanfic authors or fan translators don't bother doing even a little research on the original source, things like the timeline, character names, or other established details. They just write whatever, or maybe even rely on AI without fact-checking. Most people who read fanfics are already fans of the original story and look for fanfics as a form of entertainment or personal enjoyment. But if even the character names are wrong and the author or translator doesn't care enough to check and fix them, it really takes away from the reading experience. That's one of the reasons why a lot of these fanfics don't get high ratings or many reviews. In the end, many fanfics get dropped because the authors lose motivation due to the lack of readers. It's not always just because they got tired of writing, it can also be because the overall quality of the novel wasn't good enough to keep readers interested
I know this is just a Chinese fanfic translated into English by a fan translator, but as a translator, and as someone who's familiar with One Piece, you should at least know the characters' names, or at the very least check the One Piece Wiki to make sure they're accurate. Even if the original novel gets something wrong, you as the translator shouldn't repeat the same mistake, because it hurts the reading experience for your audience. "Iron Fist" is Fullbody, not Helmeppo. It's especially frustrating because this is a recurring character who shows up again in several later arcs, yet you still got his name wrong
I honestly can't tell whether this is actually an original fanfic by the author or just a translation of a Chinese fanfic. The character names keep getting mixed up, Sasori becomes Shandian, and Gedatsu is suddenly the guardian of the Ball Trial. It just feels weird. If the author is really a One Piece fan, it's hard to imagine them making mistakes like that. The same thing happened before with Mashira and Shoujou, their names got swapped too
I think the author mixed up Shoujou and Mashira. Shoujou is the one whose power is based on sound, not Mashira
So, where will imayoshi show up? he was hanamiya teammate and also senpai in middle school
Now she's a Jonin?
Kurenai is Jounin tho' not Chunin
My brain feels like it’s been fried after reading this so-called translation—it's beyond rubbish. The gender references are all over the place, and I can’t even tell who’s speaking—whether it’s “he,” “she,” “they,” “we,” “I,” or “you.” First, second, and third person pronouns are all jumbled up. How is anyone supposed to enjoy reading this? It’s completely confusing. What’s even more baffling is how this level of quality is somehow making money on a platform that’s considered major in the webnovel scene. If this is the standard, then I might as well become a translator too—it must be easy money, especially in times like these when finding work is tough. To any Webnovel editors who might be reading this: why not consider recruiting me as a translator? My quality is at least a notch above this, and honestly, better than most of the translators on your platform.
