It's not, I technically have one more chapter ready, but the update has been 1-3 chapters/week currently. I just missed the last fortnight, much to my guilt. There should be 1 - 3 chapters minimum coming sometime over the next 72h

It's not currently updating. I had wanted to redo and improve it and continue it one day, but when and if is not going to be decided upon anytime soon.

They didn't make changes afaik. In fact, it is truer to the manga than many others I have seen. The excellent art and animation breathe new life into it in my opinion though, especially as the way the author has designed many scenes, characters and plots resonates with the viewer. The manga, and I describe this with no ill intention, is what I would consider b grade artwork, and the anime covered this flaw. A great story can break through artwork level, as can be seen by the leading example, One, and his... scribble.

As for why much worse novels are contracted, they practically offer it to everyone. It used to be much harder for a novel to be contracted, but now they’re like jellybeans

For that, you needto sign a contract with webnovel and have your novel “contracted”. I could not agree to the terms of the contract, so i never signed it.

There is room to do a continuation in the future, but there are several reasons for tying it off at the third volume. i also want to move onto my next project, whilst doing things better this time around
