THE CURSED WEDDING The bride will say her vows. The guests will applaud. And the house will remember. Evelyn Ashford has one simple reason to be at the house: her friend's wedding. The venue is enormous, its strange, towering silhouette disappearing into the sky. Inside, everything seems ordinary enough. Guests laugh. Music plays. The bride is getting ready. For a little while, Evelyn allows herself to believe that the house is merely old, the atmosphere merely unsettling, and her uneasiness entirely unreasonable. Then the impossible begins. A little girl plays with a toy that moves when it shouldn't. A familiar face becomes something Evelyn can barely bear to look at. Voices come from places no voice should reach. And the deeper she ventures into the house, the less the world seems willing to follow its own rules. Yet the guests carry on. They smile. They celebrate. They behave as though nothing has changed. Alexander Vale is the only person who seems to understand that something is wrong. Or perhaps he only makes Evelyn feel that way. Strangely familiar and impossible to read, he offers her comfort without ever becoming entirely reassuring. His memories contradict themselves. His words sometimes raise more questions than they answer. And the more Evelyn comes to depend on him, the harder it becomes to separate trust from fear. Together, they search for a way out. But the house is not simply a place to escape. Its corridors betray them. Its windows show them things that should not exist. Every familiar landmark becomes uncertain, every answer opens another wound in reality, and every attempt to leave brings them somewhere they have already been. All the while, the wedding carries on. Because whatever is happening inside the house, the celebration must continue. And Evelyn is beginning to suspect that she was never meant to be just another guest. Somewhere in that house, something has already decided what happens next. The only question is whether Evelyn will recognize it before the wedding is over.
